Nezar Al-Bataineh,Mahmoud A. Al-Qudah,Sultan Abu-Orabi,Tareq Bataineh,Rasha S. Hamaideh,Idrees F. Al-Momani,Ahmed K. Hijazi 한국부식방식학회 2022 Corrosion Science and Technology Vol.21 No.1
The aim of this paper is to study corrosion inhibition of Aluminum with Capparis decidua extract. The study was performed in a 1.0 M solution of hydrochloric acid (HCl) and was monitored both by measuring mass loss and by using electrochemical and polarization methods. A scanning electron microscopy (SEM) technique was also applied for surface morphology analysis. The results revealed high inhibition efficiency of Capparis decidua extract. Our data also determined that efficiency is governed by temperature and concentration of extract. Optimum (88.2%) inhibitor efficiency was found with maximum extract concentration at 45 oC. The results also showed a slight diminution of aluminum dissolution when the temperature is low. Based on the Langmuir adsorption model, Capparis decidua adsorption on the aluminum surface shows a high regression coefficient value. From the results, the activation enthalpy (ΔH#) and activation entropy (ΔS#) were estimated and discussed. In conclusion, the study clearly shows that Capparis decidua extract acted against aluminum corrosion in acidic media by forming a protective film on top of the aluminum surface.

Let F be a non-trivial non-Archimedian field. The sequence spaces $\Gamma\;(F)\;and\;{\Gamma}^{\ast}(F)$ were defined and studied by Soma-sundaram[4], where these spaces denote the spaces of entire and analytic sequences defined over F, respectively. In 1997, these spaces were generalized by Mursaleen and Qamaruddin[1] by considering an arbitrary sequence $U\;=\;(U_k),\;U_k\;{\neq}\;0 \;(\;k\;=\;1,2,3,{\cdots})$. They characterized some classes of infinite matrices considering these new classes of sequences. In this paper, we further generalize the above mentioned spaces and define the spaces $\Gamma(u,\;F,\;{\Delta}),\;{\Gamma}^{\ast}(u,\;F,\;{\Delta}),\;l_p(u,\;F,\;{\Delta})$), and $b_v(u,\;F,\;{\Delta}$). We also study some matrix transformations on these new spaces.
A gradient boosting regression based approach for energy consumption prediction in buildings
Bataineh, Ali S. Al Techno-Press 2019 Advances in energy research Vol.6 No.2
This paper proposes an efficient data-driven approach to build models for predicting energy consumption in buildings. Data used in this research is collected by installing humidity and temperature sensors at different locations in a building. In addition to this, weather data from nearby weather station is also included in the dataset to study the impact of weather conditions on energy consumption. One of the main emphasize of this research is to make feature selection independent of domain knowledge. Therefore, to extract useful features from data, two different approaches are tested: one is feature selection through principal component analysis and second is relative importance-based feature selection in original domain. The regression model used in this research is gradient boosting regression and its optimal parameters are chosen through a two staged coarse-fine search approach. In order to evaluate the performance of model, different performance evaluation metrics like r2-score and root mean squared error are used. Results have shown that best performance is achieved, when relative importance-based feature selection is used with gradient boosting regressor. Results of proposed technique has also outperformed the results of support vector machines and neural network-based approaches tested on the same dataset.

In this paper, we define the sequence spaces: $[V,{\lambda},f,p]_0({\Delta}^r,E,u),\;[V,{\lambda},f,p]_1({\Delta}^r,E,u),\;[V,{\lambda},f,p]_{\infty}({\Delta}^r,E,u),\;S_{\lambda}({\Delta}^r,E,u),\;and\;S_{{\lambda}0}({\Delta}^r,E,u)$, where E is any Banach space, and u = ($u_k$) be any sequence such that $u_k\;{\neq}\;0$ for any k , examine them and give various properties and inclusion relations on these spaces. We also show that the space $S_{\lambda}({\Delta}^r, E, u)$ may be represented as a $[V,{\lambda}, f, p]_1({\Delta}^r, E, u)$ space. These are generalizations of those defined and studied by M. Et., Y. Altin and H. Altinok [7].
On graded $J$-ideals over graded rings
Tamem Al-Shorman,Malik Bataineh,Ece Yetkin Celikel 대한수학회 2023 대한수학회논문집 Vol.38 No.2
The goal of this article is to present the graded $J$-ideals of $G$-graded rings which are extensions of $J$-ideals of commutative rings. A graded ideal $P$ of a $G$-graded ring $R$ is a graded $J$-ideal if whenever $x,y\in h(R)$, if $xy\in P$ and $x\not\in J(R)$, then $y\in P$, where $h(R)$ and $J(R)$ denote the set of all homogeneous elements and the Jacobson radical of $R$, respectively. Several characterizations and properties with supporting examples of the concept of graded $J$-ideals of graded rings are investigated.

Jaradat, Mohammed M.M.,Bataineh, Mohammed S.A. Department of Mathematics 2014 Kyungpook mathematical journal Vol.54 No.1
For two positive integers r and s, $\mathcal{G}$(n; r; ${\theta}_s$) denotes to the class of graphs on n vertices containing no r of edge disjoint ${\theta}_s$-graphs and f(n; r; ${\theta}_s$) = max{${\varepsilon}(G)$ : G ${\in}$ $\mathcal{G}$(n; r; ${\theta}_s$)}. In this paper, for integers r, $k{\geq}2$, we determine f(n; r; ${\theta}_{2k+1}$) and characterize the edge maximal members in G(n; r; ${\theta}_{2k+1}$).

Background Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a chronic metabolic disease with a high prevalence worldwide, especially among overweight and obese populations. T2DM is multifactorial with several genetic and acquired risk factors that lead to insulin resistance. Mounting evidence indicates that alteration of gut microbiome composition contribute to insulin resistance and inflammation. However, the precise link between T2DM and gut microbiome role and composition remains unknown. Methods We evaluated the metabolic capabilities of the gut microbiome of twelve T2DM and six healthy individuals through shotgun metagenomics using MiSeq platform. Results We identified no significant differences in the overall taxonomic composition between healthy and T2DM subjects when controlling for differences in diet. However, results showed that T2DM enriched in metabolic pathways involved in menaquinone (vitamin K2) superpathway biosynthesis (PWY-5838) as compared to healthy individuals. Covariance analysis between the bacterial genera and metabolic pathways displaying difference in abundance (analysis of variance P<0.05) in T2DM as compared to healthy subjects revealed that genera belonging Firmicutes, Actinobacteria, and Bacteroidetes phyla contribute significantly to vitamin K2 biosynthesis. Further, the microbiome corresponding to T2DM with high glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) (>6.5%) exhibit high abundance of genes involved in lysine biosynthesis and low abundance of genes involved in creatinine degradation as compared to T2DM with lower HbA1c (<6.5%). Conclusion The identified differences in metabolic capabilities provide important information that may eventually lead to the development of novel biomarkers and more effective management strategies to treat T2DM.
Generalized Optimal and Explicit PI/PID Tuning Formulas for Underdamped Second-order Systems
Saher Albatran,Issam A. Smadi,Hussein A. Bataineh 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2020 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.18 No.4
This study aims to propose generalized formulas in an explicit form to optimally tune the gains of the proportional-integral (PI) and proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controllers of an underdamped second-order system. Unlike other methods used in literature, the controller gains are tuned explicitly based on the known system parameters of the second-order system, namely: the damping ratio and the natural frequency. The proposed accurate and one-step formulas do not need any further effort to effectively control any given second-order system while keeping the desired performance indices within near-optimal specifications. The proposed work relies on a restricted deadbeat response criterion and cascaded surface curve fitting procedure to end by near-optimal controller gains tuning formulas. A particle swarm optimization (PSO) method is employed to optimize the primary tuned gains for wide-range of system frequency. The proposed formulas are tested and simulated to demonstrate their effectiveness with comparisons with the closest common related gains tuning methods. Based on the comprehensive analysis, the proposed work ensures 2% maximum percentage overshoot when the proposed formulas are adopted to tune the gains of the PID controllers. Different comparisons are carried out to show the effectiveness of theproposed work.
