Evidence of the importance of early childhood development(ECD) has transformed child health monitoring and screeningtools. Development of the Korean Developmental ScreeningTest for Infants and Children (K-DST) has expanded theapplications of child health screening to a large number ofinfants and children in Korea and is contributing to the earlydetection of neurodevelopmental disorders and delivery oftimely interventions. The previous screening tool (KoreanAges and Stages Questionnaire) raised some concerns, as itslack of consideration of the cultural background of the Koreanpopulation can lead to inaccurate or imprecise diagnoses. TheK-DST, a tailored tool for Korean infants and children, is asimple and cost-efficient solution for child health monitoringand screening. This review focuses on the development androle of the K-DST in ensuring ECD. Here we review use of theK-DST for ECD screenings and discuss the best strategy for itsuse in other countries

A sulfur dioxide treatment is often used to preserve the color and flavor of raisins. We used a life table approach to examine the effects of residual sulfites on Plodia interpunctella (Hubner) when larvae fed on raisins under controlled laboratory conditions. Raisins were fumigated with 66 g/m 3 or 133 g/m 3 SO 2 for either three or six hours, or received no SO 2 exposure (control). A two sex life table was constructed for insects in each treatment (n = 70 per treatment). Total immature mortality exceeded 90% in 66 g/m 3 SO 2 treatments, and 80% in 133 g/m 3 SO 2 treatments, compared to 28.6% in controls. Sulfur dioxide treatments significantly extended developmental time relative to controls, again more so in the 66 g/m 3 SO 2 treatments than in the 133 g/m 3 treatments, but did not affect the adult longevity of survivors. All SO 2 treatments reduced the fecundity of surviving female moths to a small fraction of controls, without significant differences among them. These effects combined to result in significantly diminished life table parameters in all treatments relative to controls, although generation times were increased more in the 66 g/m 3 SO 2 treatments than in the 133 g/m 3 treatments. These inverse dosagedependent effects may reflect increased feeding avoidance of sulfite residues in the higher dose treatments that resulted in reduced consumption. We conclude that residual sulfur and sulfites deposited on fruit surfaces during SO 2 treatment provide substantial control of P. interpunctella, and should effectively suppress the pro liferation of moths within bulk stores of dried raisins.

This paper analyzes the entire distribution of stock market returns/volatility in five emerging markets (ASEAN5) and figures out the conditional distribution of the CHI_EPU index. The aim is to examine the impact of CHI_EPU on the stock returns/volatility density of ASEAN5 markets. It also examined whether changes in CHI_EPU explain returns at higher or lower points (abnormal returns). This paper models the behaviour of stock returns from March 2011 to June 2018 using a non-parametric conditional density estimation approach. The results indicate that CHI_EPU diminishes stock returns and augments volatility in ASEAN5 markets, except for Malaysia, where it affects stock returns positively. The possible reason for this positive impact is that EPU is not the leading factor reducing Malaysian stock returns; but, other forces, such as dependency on other countries’ stock markets and global factors, may have a positive impact on stock returns (Bachmann and Bayer, 2013). Thus, the risk of simultaneous investment in Chinese and ASEAN5 stock markets, except Malaysia, is high. Further, the degree of this influence intensifies at extreme high/low intervals (positive/negative tails). The findings of this study have significant implications for investors, policymakers, market agents, and analysts of ASEAN5.
Dielectric and Electromechanical Properties of Zr-Doped BNT-ST Lead-Free Piezoelectric Ceramics

0.72(Bi$_{0.5}$Na$_{0.5}$)Ti$_{(1-x)}$Zr$_x$O$_3$-0.28SrTiO$_3$ (BNTZ-ST) with $x$ = 0.00, 0.01, 0.02 and 0.03 were produced using a solid solution reaction procedure. Results from the X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis showed the presence of a perovskite structure with cubic symmetry for all samples. Surface analysis was completed using field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), and the grain size was found to decrease slightly with increasing Zr doping. The grain morphology was primarily rectangular, but morphed into a rounder shape with increases in Zr. In a dielectric constant study, the depolarization temperature was found to decrease with increasing Zr$^{+4}$ content and increasing frequency. The strain was found to be 0.34\% for the undoped samples with an equivalent dynamic strain ($S_{max}/E_{max}$) of 618 pm/V, without negative strain. However, the strain decreased slightly and hysteresis loops become slim and more symmetric, attaining a relaxor ferroelectric behavior with increasing Zr content.
