We propose the moment cone relaxation for a class of polynomial optimization problems to extend the results on the completely positive cone programming relaxation for the quadratic optimization model by Arima, Kim and Kojima. The moment cone relaxation is constructed to take advantage of sparsity of the polynomial optimization problems, so that efficient numerical methods can be developed in the future. We establish the equivalence between the optimal value of the polynomial optimization problem and that of the moment cone relaxation under conditions similar to the ones assumed in the quadratic optimization model.

Studying Hardness Meter Spring Strength to Understand Hardness Distribution on Body Surfaces
Yoshitaka Arima 사단법인약침학회 2017 Journal of Acupuncture & Meridian Studies Vol.10 No.5
Introduction: For developing a hardness multipoint measurement system for understanding hardness distribution on biological body surfaces, we investigated the spring strength of the contact portion main axis of a biological tissue hardness meter (product name: PEK). Methods: We measured the hardness of three-layered sheets of six types of gel sheets (90 mm 60 mm 6 mm) constituting the acupuncture practice pads, with PEK measurements of 1.96 N, 2.94 N, 3.92 N, 4.90 N, 5.88 N, 6.86 N, 7.84 N, 8.82 N, and 9.81 N of the main axis spring strength. We obtained measurements 10 times for the gel sheets and simultaneously measured the load using a digital scale. We measured the hardness distribution of induration embedded and breast cancer palpation models, with a main axis with 1.96 N, 4.90 N, and 9.81 N spring strengths, to create a two-dimensional Contour Fill Chart. Results: Using 4.90 N spring strength, we could obtain measurement loads of 3.0 N, and the mean hardness was 5.14 mm. This was close to the median of the total measurement range 0.0 e10.0 mm, making the measurement range the largest for this spring strength. We could image the induration of the induration-embedded model regardless of the spring strength. Conclusion: Overall, 4.90 N spring strength was best suited for imaging cancer in the breast cancer palpation model.
Some Properties of Quantum Data Search Algorithms
Keisuke Arima,Hiromi Miyajima,Noritaka Shigei,Michiharu Maeda 대한전자공학회 2008 ITC-CSCC :International Technical Conference on Ci Vol.2008 No.7
This paper deals with some properties of quantum data search algorithms. First, Grover’s and Ventura’s algorithms for quantum data search are introduced and compared with each other. As a result, it is shown that both algorithms are not always universal with the number of stored data. Further, some properties on the data search algorithms are shown.
Hypertension Is Related to Positive Global Sagittal Alignment: A Cross-Sectional Cohort Study
Hideyuki Arima,Daisuke Togawa,Tomohiko Hasegawa,Yu Yamato,Go Yoshida,Sho Kobayashi,Tatsuya Yasuda,Tomohiro Banno,Shin Oe,Yuki Mihara,Hiroki Ushirozako,Hironobu Hoshino,Yukihiro Matsuyama 대한척추외과학회 2019 Asian Spine Journal Vol.13 No.6
Study Design: Cross-sectional cohort study. Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the relationship between hypertension and spino-pelvic sagittal alignment in middle-aged and elderly individuals. Overview of Literature: Positive global sagittal alignment is associated with poor health-related quality of life. Hypertension is associated with tissue microcirculation disorders of the skeletal muscle. We hypothesized that hypertension may be involved in positive global sagittal alignment. Methods: In this institutional review board-approved study, 655 participants (262 men and 393 women; mean age, 72.9 years; range, 50–92 years) who underwent musculoskeletal screening in Toei town, Aichi, Japan were included. Whole spine and pelvic radiographs were taken, and radiographic parameters (thoracic kyphosis, lumbar lordosis, pelvic tilt, sacral slope, pelvic incidence, and sagittal vertical axis [SVA]) were measured using an image-analysis software. Hypertension was assessed using the standard criteria. The study participants were divided into three subgroups as per age (50–64 years, 65–74 years, and ≥75 years). We examined the differences in the radiographic parameters of those with and without hypertension in each age subgroup. Results: In each age subgroup, there was no significant difference in the age and sex of those with and without hypertension. SVA was significantly shifted forward in the hypertension group than in the non-hypertension group in those aged 50–64 years old (32.4 mm vs. 16.0 mm, p=0.018) and in those aged 65–74 years old (42.7 mm vs. 30.6 mm, p=0.012). There was no significant difference between the hypertension and non-hypertension groups in terms of the alignment of the lumbar and thoracic spine in all the subgroups. In multivariate analysis, hypertension was a significant independent factor of forward-shifted SVA (standardized beta 0.093, p=0.015). Conclusions: This study showed that hypertension was associated with forward-shifted global sagittal alignment.
Review : Prostaglandin D2 and TH2 Inflammation in the Pathogenesis of Bronchial Asthma
( Masafumi Arima ),( Takeshi Fukuda ) 대한내과학회 2011 The Korean Journal of Internal Medicine Vol.26 No.1
Prostaglandin D2 (PGD2) is a major prostanoid, produced mainly by mast cells, in allergic diseases, including bronchial asthma. PGD2-induced vasodilatation and increased permeability are well-known classical effects that may be involved in allergic inflammation. Recently, novel functions of PGD2 have been identified. To date, D prostanoid receptor (DP) and chemoattractant receptor homologous molecule expressed on T(H)2 cells (CRT(H)2) have been shown to be major PGD2-related receptors. These two receptors have pivotal roles mediating allergic diseases by regulating the functions of various cell types, such as T(H)2 cells, eosinophils, basophils, mast cells, dendritic cells, and epithelial cells. This review will focus on the current understanding of the roles of PGD2 and its metabolites in T(H)2 inflammation and the pathogenesis of bronchial asthma. (Korean J Intern Med 2011;26:8-18)
微生物凝乳酵素 Mucor-renin이 k-casein에 對한 作用
柳洲鉉,有馬啓 연세대학교 대학원 1976 延世論叢 Vol.13 No.2
k-casein was reacted with Mucor rennin(MR) or Calf rennin(CR). Each para-k-casein and macropeptide were separated from the hydrozed k-casein, and the casein were analyzed to elemental composition, composition of amino acids and terminal amino acids. N-terminal of para-k-casien by MR reaction was not confirmed, but Phe and Leu in C-terminal were identified on paper chromatography by examination of para-k-casein with carboxypeptidase. N-terminal of macropeptide was Met. Therefore, MR was hydrolyzed between linkage of Phe in C-terminal of para-k-casein and Met in N-terminal in macropeptide. Results of substrate specificity on k-casein with CR was corresponded to above results of MR.
