A digital holographic memory system was realized by storing and retrieving multiple binary encoded images in photorefractive crystal utilizing angular multiplexing technique. As an example, a part of Lena (64x64)image encoded by Reed-Solomon code were stored and retrieved.

百濟의 方郡城制의 實施와 全南地域 土着社會의 變化

Baekje attacked and occupied the Jeonnam area under the regin of King Geundchogo in the late fourth century. However, as the attack made by King Geunchogo was not more than a temporary military assault, he instituted an indirect government by local forces. Baekje used Damroje(擔魯制:a system of local government) for the Jeonbuk area above Noryeong and for the southem part, it used Gongnap governing(貢納制: a sort of tax system). Baekje used Banggunseongje(方郡域制)in the middle of sixth century for direct government, which led to rapid change for the original settlers of Jeonnam area. It delegated local governors all over the country, including the Jeonnam area, for direct government. Local government by Baekje developed further and therefore, the old base of resistance forces was dismantled and the local society was reorganized. The heads of the local forces were reduced to lower class officials who assisted local governors delegated from the central government. The performance of the Banggunseonje led to an institutional change and also an actual change with the goal to reorganize the border areas in Jeonnam. At this time, the Jeonnam area was organised into the southern area. Gujihaseong, which was government in the southern area, was located in Jinwonsanseong, Jinwon-myeon, Jangseong, a transportation center. It was a convenient place to mobilize armies from the western eastern and southern coastal area, and was connected to the capital. Bannam, which was a governing center of the Jeonnam area, was reduced a Hyeon(縣: a small unit of government). Baekje established Guns and Hyeons all over the Jeonnam area for direct government. However, local governors were not delegated to every area of Jeonnma from the central government. Baekje delegated officers from the central government to local castles, which were located at the strategic center. Therefore, vested interests were maintained, as the local forces of Jonnam were able to keep the existing government system

왕인의 渡倭와 상대포의 해양교류사적 위상

Wang-in(王仁) visited to Japan with classical books such as the Thousand Characters Text and the Analects of Confucius and advanced civilization and contributed to the development of ancient Japanese culture. He was not from the pure Baek-je family and a descendant of Chinese families. Also his birth narrative and related heritages were borrowed from those of master monk Doseon. The record that he was born in Ku-lim(鳩林) was just an artificial creation under the Japanese imperialism, However, the suggestion that he went to JAPAN at sang-dae-po is not a fabrication without historical basis. Ku-lim was a center of cultural exchange and marine activities of Baekje people. Delegates or ships stopped at Sang-dae-po for better weather for journey to Gaya or Japan. As the Sang-dae-po(上臺浦) was an important port that connected Hanseong, the capital of Baekje, to Gaya, it was directly controlled by Baekje. After Wang-in left Hanseon for an invitation from Japan and arrived at Sang-dae-po, there is a considerable possibility that he stayed there such a long time. Ku-lim was known as the home of Wang-in due to the geopolitical condition of Ku-lim that was a center of ancient marine exchange. Wang-in made a great contribution to the development of Japanese civilization. He settled in Go-si-gun(高市郡), Daewha(大和) where lots of Baekje people lived. The period of settlement was when the target of exchange with Baekje and Japan was changed from Kuju(九州) to the regime of Daewha. Wang-in was forced to go to Japan by the king of Baekje, but he went there himself. When he went to Japan, he was accompanied by engineers of water control, weaving and brewing and contributed to the industrial development of ancient Japan.

가토에 있어서 편측 요관 폐색시 환측, 반대측 요관에 대한 변화 : 조직학적 소견을 중심으로

This study was designed to clarify histological changes in the experimental rabbit ureter after unilateral prartial or complete ureteral obstruction. A total of 20 adult white rabbits were divided into 4 subgroups in the partial obstruction followed by 2 weeks, partial obstruction followed by 4 weeks, complete obstruction followed by 2 weeks, complete obstruction followed by 4 weeks. The normal control group consisted of 5 adult white rabbits. The H & E stain. light microscopy were used. Abnormal histological fingings were showed in ipsilateral ureter of all subgroups; dilatation of ureter, epithelial cell atrophy or loss, interstitial fibrosis, interstitial inflammation. These findings were most severe in the complete-obstructed ureter for 4 weeks. There were no significant changes in contralateral ureter of all subgroups. Despite of progressive histological changes in ipsilateral ureter no abnormal findings were showed in contralateral ureter. We suggest that long term experimental investigation for histological changes in ipsilateral ureter and compensatory changes in contralateral ureter should be done.

추적관찰 중 종괴의 크기가 커진 경화성 혈관종 1례

We report a case of a sclerosing hemangioma of the lung with increased size during follow up, a rare benign neoplasm of the lung. A 32-year-old woman had round increased opacity in right upper lobe on posteroanterior chest radiograph. That lesion has grown slowly over four years. Computed tomographic scan showed a well circumscribed lung mass in medial aspect of right upper lobe. Radiological differential diagnosis for the lesion included inflammatory pseudotumor, atypical carcinoid, lung cancer and localized fibrous tumor of pleura. Nonspecific findings were shown by the bronchoscopy and percutaneous transthoracic needle aspiration. Anterior and apical segmentectomy was carried out and the lesion was pathologically diagnosed as sclerosing hemangioma of lung.

전립선 비대증 진단에 있어서 전립선 이행대 용적 지수의 유용성

Purpose : Prostate volume has been poorly correlated to various parameters used to assess benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), including symptom score, peak urine flow and detrusor pressure at peak urine flow. The purpose of this study was 2-fold: 1) to determine if transrectal ultrasound measurement of the transition zone of the prostate served as a better proxy for determining prostate size and correlated better with IPSS, peak urine flow and detrusor pressure and 2) if the parameter transition zone index (the ratio between transition zone volume and prostate volume) was useful in evaluating clinical prostatism. Materials and Methods: We prospectively evaluated 30 men with symptomatic BPH (mean age 65.4 years) according to symptom sore, peak urine flow, pressure/flow study, transrectal ultrasound volume of the entire prostate and the transition zone and calculation of the transition zone index. Results : There was a week correlation between prostate volume and symptom score, peak urine flow and detrusor pressure at peak urine flow: a stronger correlation between volume of transition zone and symptom score (r=0.679 p=0.03), and peak urine flow (r=-0.672 p=0.05) and a significant correlation (p=0.001) between transition zone index and symptom score (r=0.868), and peak urine flow(r=-0.870). Conclusion : Transition zone index is a parameter that correlates siginificantly with parameters of BPH and may serve as a useful proxy for evaluating worsening obstruction. Studies are underway to determine whether transtion zone index can be used prospectively to predict and correlate response with therapies designed to ablate prostatic tissue medically or surgically.
