Consensus of Leader-Following Multi-Agent Systems in Time-Varying Networks via Intermittent Control
Aihua Hu,Jinde Cao,Manfeng Hu 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2014 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.12 No.5
This paper is concerned with the issue of consensus for leader-following multi-agent systems, wherein the agents acting as followers update states based on the information received from the time-varying neighbors and the virtual leader. Moreover, the neighbors of an agent are divided into three types according to their relative position, which may also be changed with time. Consensus protocol is derived mainly by using intermittent control, and based on the Lyapunov stability theory, sufficient conditions for consensus are presented and proved theoretically. Finally, some numerical examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the results.

Theoretical Bit Error Rate (BER) and channel capacity analysis are always of great interest to the designers of wireless communication systems. At the center of such analyses people are often encountered with a high-dimensional multiple integrals with quite complex integrands. Conventional Gaussian quadrature is inefficient in handling problems like this, as it tends to entail tremendous computational overhead, and the principal order of its error term increase rapidly with the dimension of the integral. In this paper, we propose a new approach to calculate complex multi-fold integrals based on the number theory. In contrast to Gaussian quadrature, the proposed approach requires less computational effort, and the principal order of its error term is independent of the dimension. The effectiveness of the number theory based approach is examined in BER and capacity analyses for practical systems. In particular, the results generated by numerical computation turn out in good match with that of Monte-Carlo simulations.
Energy Aware Scheduling based on Two-phase Frequency Scaling for Parallel Tasks in Cluster
Aihua Liang,Jun Liang,Jiazheng Yuan 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Grid and Distributed Comp Vol.8 No.5
Improving the energy efficiency of high performance clusters has become important research issue. We proposed a new algorithm that reduces energy consumption of precedence constrained parallel tasks in power-scalable clusters. To reduce energy consumption without increasing the schedule length, our algorithm reclaims both static and dynamic slack time and employs different frequency adjusting techniques in different slack time. The optimal frequency is obtained through analyzing the precedence constraints of parallel tasks. We conducted extensive experiments to compare the proposed algorithm with two other existing algorithms, simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can get better energy efficiency without increasing the make span.
The Association of SERPINE2 Gene with COPD in a Chinese Han Population
Aihua Wang,Wei Xiao,Yingqiu Yin,Ping Chen,Qiji Liu,Qinfeng Yu 연세대학교의과대학 2011 Yonsei medical journal Vol.52 No.6
Purpose: Polymorphisms of several candidate genes have been studied and associated with the development of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). One such candidate is the SERPINE2 (Serpin peptidase inhibitor, clade E member 2) gene. Materials and Methods: To assess whether the SERPINE2 gene is associated with COPD in a Chinese Han population. Samples were collected from a Chinese Han population and analyzed for the association of single nucleotide polymor phisms (SNPs) or haplotypes of SERPINE2 gene with COPD in a case-control study. Three SNPs including rs840088 G/A in intron 1, rs1438831 A/G in 5’ upstream sequence and rs3795879 G/A in intron 3 were detected using the polymerase chain reaction (PCR)-based restriction fragment length polymorphism technique in 409 COPD subjects and 411 controls. Genotyping of the SREPINE2 polymorphisms at positions rs840088, rs1438831and rs3795879 was performed. Results: We found that none of the rs840088G/A, rs1438831G/A and rs3795879 G/A polymorphisms were associated with the disease. The p-values were 0.630, 0.208 and 0.398 respectively. Conclusion: Our data suggested that there was no significant association between SERPINE2 polymorphism and COPD susceptibility in the Chinese Han population.
Identification of Glycine Max MicroRNAs in Response to Phosphorus Deficiency
Aihua Sha,Yinhua Chen,Hongping Ba,Zhihui Shan,Xiaojuan Zhang,Xuejun Wu,Dezheng Qiu,Shuilian Chen,Xinan Zhou 한국식물학회 2012 Journal of Plant Biology Vol.55 No.4
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are endogenous small RNAs regulating plant development and stress responses. In addition, phosphorus (P) is an important macronutrient for plant growth and development. More than two hundred miRNAs have been identified in Glycine Max and a few of miRNAs have been shown to respond to P deficiency, however, whether there are other miRNAs involved in P deficiency response is largely unknown. In this study, we used high-throughput small RNA sequencing and wholegenome-wide mining to identify the potential miRNAs in response to P deficiency. After sequencing, we deduced 183known, 99 conserved and 126 novel miRNAs in Glycine Max. Among them, in response to P deficiency, the expressions of 27 known, 16 conserved and 12 novel miRNAs showed significant changes in roots, whereas the expressions of 34known, 14 conserved and 7 novel miRNAs were significantly different in shoots. Furthermore, we validated the predicated novel miRNAs and found that three miRNAs in roots and five miRNAs in shoots responded to P deficiency. Some miRNAs were P-induced whereas some were P-suppressed. Together these results indicated that the miRNAs identified might play important roles in regulating P signaling pathway.

We investigate the channel state information (CSI) in multi-input multi-output (MIMO) cooperative networks that employ the amplify-and-forward transmission scheme. Least squares and expectation conditional maximization have been proposed in the system. However, neither of these two approaches takes advantage of channel sparsity, and they cause estimation performance loss. Unlike linear channel estimation methods, several compressed channel estimation methods are proposed in this study to exploit the sparsity of the MIMO cooperative channels based on the theory of compressed sensing. First, the channel estimation problem is formulated as a compressed sensing problem by using sparse decomposition theory. Second, the lower bound is derived for the estimation, and the MIMO relay channel is reconstructed via compressive sampling matching pursuit algorithms. Finally, based on this model, we propose a novel algorithm so called sparsity adaptive expectation maximization (SAEM) by using Kalman filter and expectation maximization algorithm so that it can exploit channel sparsity alternatively and also track the true support set of time-varying channel. Kalman filter is used to provide soft information of transmitted signals to the EM-based algorithm. Various numerical simulation results indicate that the proposed sparse channel estimation technique outperforms the previous estimation schemes.
