As an alternative to radioimmunoassay a simple and highly sensitive enzyme immunoassay (EIA) was developed and validated for androstenedione quantification in plasma of Karan Fries bulls using second antibody coating technique. The wells of the microtitreplate were coated with affinity-purified goat immunoglobulin (antirabbit IgG) that binds the hormone specific antibody. The EIA was performed to analyze androstenedione directly in $40{\mu}l$ of bull plasma. The androstenedione standards ranged from 0.20 to 200 pg/$40{\mu}l$/well and the sensitivity of the assay was 5 pg/ml plasma. Serially diluted bull plasma containing high endogenous androstenedione showed good parallelism with bovine androstenedione standard curve. Intra- and inter-assay coefficients of variation (CV) were found to be 8 and 9%, respectively. Peripheral plasma androstenedione concentrations determined in young and adult bull samples ranged between 104-990 pg/ml and 184-2040 pg/ml, respectively.

In today’s age, communication through internet has become inseparable entity of many applications. These applications often require secrecy of data to be transmitted for security reasons. Therefore, commonly used security mechanisms such as cryptography and steganography can be employedto provide security, however using these techniques standalone often poses security threats. Therefore, a hybrid approach can be used for improving security features. In this paper comparison is drawn of recently published hybrid security mechanisms on the basis of following parameters: Visual assessment, Encrypted code Analysis, Similarity Analysis, Peak Signal Noise Ratio (PSNR), Information Entropy Analysis, Embedding Capacity Analysis, Key space analysis. The schemes are implemented and comparedusing MATLAB-2015.

Thermal transition behaviour of iron oxide-polypyrrole nanocomposites

Distinct thermal transitions have been observed in nanocomposites based on iron oxide–polypyrrole prepared by simultaneous gelation and polymerization process. The transition behaviour for various iron oxide–polypyrrole compositions was investigated with the help of differential scanning calorimetery. It has been observed that the samples show a magnetic to nonmagnetic transition at 410 C. The presence of exothermic peak at 410 C is a strong indication of magnetic transition corresponding to c-Fe2O3 phase of iron oxide to a nonmagnetic a-Fe2O3 phase in these nanocomposites. However such a transition was not observed in nanocomposites containing lesser concentration of conducting polymer. 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
