The interoperability concerns horizontal integration among IoT devices which form vendor- or protocol-specific silos. To answer, this brief presents an architectural design of an autonomic interoperability manager (AIM) that is capable of self-configuration, self-healing, self-optimization, and self-protection. With AIM, IoT devices having diverse protocols, syntax, and semantics can collaborate and interact, and its plugin-based autonomic, service-oriented architecture ensures scalability and extendability. We simulated a healthcare use-case with a range of virtual IoT devices to demonstrate that the AIM dramatically reduces the average response time in a highly dynamic environment, by proactively pruning the network traffic and optimizing the compute resources.
Comparison between basal and conventional implants as a treatment modality in atrophied ridges
Shakhawan M,Ali,Kawan S,Othman,Abduljaleel A,Samad,Payman Kh,Mahmud 대한치과이식임플란트학회 2019 The Korean Academy of Implant Dentistry Vol.38 No.2
Implant placement in severely atrophic jaws is especially challenging because of the poor quality and quantity of the future implant bed. Although various bone augmentation procedure like ridge augmentation, sinus lift these procedures are possible today but it may lead to surgical morbidity they increase the risks and costs of dental implant treatment as well as the number of necessary operations. Also sometimes the patient is not agreeing for such extensive surgical procedures, according to the well-known implantological rules for dental restorations, crestal implants are indicated in situations when an adequate amount of bone is present but basal implant a viable treatment option derives support from the basal bone area which usually remains free from the infection and less prone to resorption. This article discusses about the review literature of using basal implants and the differences that exist between basal implants and crestal implants in rehabilitation of atrophied edentulous jaws.

Today, social media has become a vital tool. The world communicates and reaches the news and each other's opinions through social media accounts. Recently, considerable research has been done on analyzing social media due to its rich data content. At the same time, since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has afflicted so many around the world, the search for a vaccine has been intense. There have been many studies analyzing people's feelings during a crisis. This study aims to understand people's opinions about available Coronavirus vaccines through a learning model that was developed for this purpose. The dataset was collected using Twitter's streaming Application Programming Interface (API) , then combined with another dataset that had already been collected. The final dataset was cleaned, then analyzed using Python. Polarity and subjectivity functions were used to obtain the results. The results showed that most people had positive opinions toward vaccines in general and toward the Pfizer one. Our study should help governments and decision-makers dispel people's fears and discover new symptoms linked to those listed by the World Health Organization.

Background: DNA repair is one of the crucial defense mechanism against mutagenic exposure. Inherited SNPs of DNA repair genes may contribute to variation in DNA repair capacity and susceptibility to cancer. Due to the presence of these variants, inter-individual and ethnic differences in DNA repair capacity have been established in various populations. India harbors enormous genetic and cultural diversity. Materials and Methods: In the present study we aimed to determine the genotypes and allele frequencies of XRCC1 Arg399Gln (rs25487), XRCC3 Thr241Met (rs861539), XPD Lys751Gln (rs13181), and OGG1 Ser326Cys (rs1052133) gene polymorphisms in 186 healthy individuals residing in the Hyderabad region of India and to compare them with HapMap and other populations. Results and Conclusions: The genotype and allele frequency distribution at the four DNA repair gene loci among Hyderabad population of India revealed a characteristic pattern. Comparison of these gene polymorphisms with other populations revealed a distinctiveness of Hyderabad population from the Deccan region of India. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report of such DNA repair gene polymorphisms in the Deccan Indian population.
