제주지역의 돼지 써코바이러스 2형 관련 장염에 대한 병리학적 특징

From 2006 to 2009, 50 pigs suspected of enteritis associated with porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV-2) (EAPC) were collected. Gross and histopathologic examinations and immunohistochemistry (IHC) were performed on the small intestine of 50 pigs. The pigs with EAPC were concentrated in grower pigs (68%), and diarrhea (84%) was the most common clinical sign. Grossly, the walls of the small intestine were thickened, and mesenteric lymph nodes were enlarged. The histopathologic features in the small intestine with EAPC were characterized by lymphoid depletion, histiocytic infiltration, and formation of basophilic grape-like inclusion bodies and multinucleated giant cells in gut-associated lymphatic tissue (GALT) and lamina propria. According to IHC, PCV-2 antigens were more intense and distributed widely in GALT (98%) than lamina propria (82%) of the small intestine. Co-infection with other enteric pathogens was detected in 26 pigs (52%). Twenty-four pigs (48%) were confirmed to be a PCV-2 single infection. Collectively, infected PCV-2 in the small intestine may induce an immunosuppressive status of individuals and then allow secondary co-infections in the digestive system. This study shows that PCV-2 can induce diarrhea and enteric lesions in pigs without a co-infection of other enteric pathogens.

The construction industry is in the process of changing from the existing labor-intensive production system to a construction automation system using advanced information and communication technologies. Accordingly, in order to identify key research areas and utilization technologies in the field of construction automation, this study collected the latest 17 years (2000-2016) of papers published in International Symposium on Automation and Robotics in Construction (ISARC) and conducted a correlation analysis between the construction management areas and automation technologies based on the keyword frequency. As a result, the BIM, WSN, and Augmented reality were extracted as the technology keywords with high correlation with various areas of construction management.

In the construction industry, expectations for the Precast Concrete(PC) construction method are rising due to demands for high quality and productivity and social and environmental issues. However, although technical problems that occurred in the early stages of technology introduction have been solved, research related to proper construction management for PC construction methods has been relatively neglected and the advantages of PC construction methods have not been fully utilized. In this study, each group involved in PC works was surveyed to identify important management tasks affecting productivity of PC works to improve PC contruction management system. Based on factor analysis, 22 tasks were calssified into 5 management groups. The results of this study will be used to present a framework for the application of automation and information technology to improve the productivity of PC works.
열화상카메라 기반 콘크리트 온도 측정을 위한 이미지 프로세싱 적용 기초 연구

Accurate estimation of concrete strength development at early ages is a critical factor to secure structural stability as well as to speed up the construction process. The temperature generated from the heat of hydration is considered as a key parameter in predicting the early age strength. Conventionally, concrete temperature has been measured by temperature sensors installed inside concrete. However, considering the measurement on building structures with multiple floors, this method requires reinstallation and repositioning of hardware such as sensors, data loggers and routers for data transfer. This makes the temperature monitoring work cumbersome and inefficient. Concrete temperature monitoring by using thermal remote sensing can be an effective alternative to supplement those shortcomings. In this study, image processing was carried out through K-means clustering technique, which is a unsupervised learning method, and the classification results were analyzed accordingly. In the future, research will be conducted on how to automatically recognize concrete among various objects by using deep learning techniques.
제주산 망아지의 Streptococcus equi subsp.zooepidemicus 감염에 의한 뇌막염 증례

In November 2012, a 4-month-old foal with anorexia, neurologic signs with ataxia and death was submitted for necropsy to the diagnostic laboratory of Jeju Self-Governing Provincial Veterinary Research Institute. Grossly, yellowish-white fibrinous materials were seen on the ventral cerebrum, cerebellum,medulla oblongata and cervical spinal cord of the foal. Histologically, severe fibrino-purulent meningitis characterized by the infiltration of neutrophils and fibrionous exudates with bacterial colonies were presented in cerebrum, cerebellum, brain stem and cervical spinal cord. In the bacterial isolation using meningeal exudate, the small white colonies on blood agar plate with β-hemolysis were observed. Isolated bacteria were Gram-positive cocci and confirmed as Streptococcus (S.) equi subsp. zooepidemicus by VITEK 2 system. Based on the histopathological features and the bacterial test, this case was diagnosed as meningitis associated with S. equi subsp. zooepidemicus infection in a foal. In our best knowledge,this is the first report for fibrino-purulent meningitis caused by S. equi subsp. zooepidemicus infection in Jeju.
