        煙草의 諸 形質에 대한 遺傳分析 Ⅰ. 몇가지 量的 形質의 組合能力

        General and specific combining ability among eight diallel crosses in tobacco were studied for six agronomic characters and five chemical components. The eight parents and a set of 28 crosses of F₁’s and F₂’s were used as materials, and planted on Oriental’s and Burley cultural practices. Mean squares of general and specific combining ability were significant for all agronomic characters and chemical components. In the effects of general combining ability, variety Samsun in number of leaves per plant, variety Xanthi-Basma in plant height and nicotine, variety Ky 17 in leaf width and total volatile base, variety Va 509 in leaf length, days to flowering, total nitrogen and yield, and variety LA Burley 21 in protein nitrogen showed the higher GCA effects without regard to generations and cultural practices. The effects of specific combining ability were different from both generations and different cultural practices, but higher SCA effects were observed when used as parents varieties Va 509, Burley 21 and LA Bruley 21 for yield, variety Burley 21, Xanthi-Basma and Va 509 for nicotine. The negative SCA effects induced as earlier flowering were higher found to combinations between Burley 21 and Va 509, between Burley 21 and Kaba-Koulak.

        This Study was conducted to estimate the degree of dominance and gene frequency of some sueful characters in tobacco. The eight parents and a set of 28 crosses of F'1s was F'2s were used as materials, and planted on oriental's and burley cultivated system as randomized block designs, respectively. The observed characters were six agronomic characters which were plant height, number of leaves per plant, leaf length, leaf width, days to flowering and yield, and the data obtained from the experiment were analyzed from methods by Hayman's and Jinks. The results obtained are summarized as follows: 1. In Vr-Wr graphical analysis, number of leaves per plant, leaf length, days to flowering and yield were found to be inherited in partial dominance, and plant height was over dominance to be similar to complete dominance, but leaf width was inherited with partial dominance close to complete dominance. 2. In the gene frequency, two varieties Xanthi-Basma and KA 102, for days to flowering and yield had larger number of dominant genes as those were situated near the point of origen. 3. Additive effects of genes(D) were greater than dominance effects of Genes(H) for six agronomic characters except plant height, and mean degree of dominance over all loci was lower than 1 for days to flowering yield, leaf length and number of leaves per plant.

        TLC 方法에 의한 우리나라 在來鍾 香草의 cis-abienol 遺傳分析

        This study was conducted to obtain the information for breeding of aromatic flue-cured tobacco, and to select cis-abienol producing lines from the cross of NC82×Hyangcho. Parental genotypes were Hyangcho which produces cis-abienol and NC82 which doesn’t produce cis-abienol on the leaf surface. The parents, F₁, F₂, BC₁, and BC₂ generation were evaluated for cis-abienol production to determine the inheritance of cis-abienol on the leaf surface. The presence of cis-abienol on the leaf surface was determined using thin layer chromatography(TLC) method. Segregation patherns from F₂ and BC₂ generation revealed that presence or absence of cis-abienol on the leaf surface was controlled by alleles at a single locus. Cis-abienol was produced on leaves of the homozygous dominant and heterozygous genotype plant, while the homozygous recessive genotype plants did not produce cis-abienol.
