Until now, a variety of the standard and research activities are progressed in the business process management. However, since the common standard of the collaboration process language has not been determined, the research activities could not be well-systemized. We would present the guide-line to select and use the collaboration process language straightly through comparing different collaboration process languages (BPEL4WS, BPML, WSCI, WS-CDL, BPSS, etc). In this regard, we define the implicit and the explicit collaboration as the collaboration method in advance and present the result acquired according to compare and analyze the features of the collaboration process languages. First, the necessary elements the collaboration process languages have are extracted through the framework of the inter-organizational workflow proposed by Bernauer and the collaboration process modeling procedure(CPMP). Second, we analyze the properties of the collaboration process language based the essential elements. Finally, we show the complete example that the collaboration business process really reflects the characteristics of the collaboration business process languages

This paper is concerned with development of smart objects which are continuously working to help achievements of service robots. Among the functionalities that a home service robot must have are localization, navigation, object recognition, and object handling. These operations are usually performed by a service robot itself and the robot could have performed the given tasks in a limited environment or showed the limited capabilities in a natural environment. We initiated a smart environment project for light weight service robots to provide reliable services by interacting with the environment through the wireless sensor networks. In this paper, we presents our some smart objects which are developed for assisting service robots to achieve useful home service in the smart environment.

This paper presents a noble method of wide area localization for intelligent robots based on multiple location sensors and semantic maps. Although localization is one of important functionalities for service robots, it still has many difficulties because the real environment where robots should works is so complex and dynamical. In our configurations, the robot can receive his position information from location sensors through sensor networks, and it can eliminate the accumulated localization errors. In addition, with the semantic map information the robot can select proper location sensor among multiple sensors at the current position, and connect to the proper location sensor automatically. The feasibility of our approaches was confirmed by testing results in real environments.

In this paper, we propose a simple and feasible control scheme for dual arm coordination without force/torque sensor information, especially, in the task of holding and lifting a box. That is a kind of hybrid force/position control based on virtual work theorem and virtual spring-damper hypothesis. We calculate the minimum force and direction to hold and lift a box considering the friction cone on the box surface, and control directly the desired force as a feedforward term in the open loop control manner. The result of computer simulation shows that sensorless dual arm manipulation can be realized with only relative kinematic information between each robot arm.

This paper considers a data fitting problem for rational function models using the LM (Levenberg-Marquardt) optimization method. Rational function models have various merits on representing a wide range of shapes and modeling complicated structures by polynomials of low degrees in both the numerator and denominator. However, rational functions are nonlinear in the parameter vector, thereby requiring nonlinear optimization methods to solve the fitting problem. In this paper, we propose a data fitting method for rational function models based on the LM algorithm which is renowned as an effective nonlinear optimization technique. Simulations show that the fitting results are robust against the measurement noises and uncertainties. The effectiveness of the proposed method is further demonstrated by the real application to a 3D depth camera calibration problem.
