Objectives : This study aimed to investigate the effects of electroacupuncture (EA), the laser acupuncture (LA) and the combination therapy (LA+EA) in a collagenase-induced osteoarthritis rat model. Methods : Osteoarthritis rat model was induced by injection of collagenase into left lower articular cavity (50 μl to knee and 10 μl to ankle). In order to assess the anti-osteoarthritic effects of EA, the 650 nm LA and 650 nm LA+EA, the histopathological findings and plantar withdrawal responses were analyzed. Results : All of the treatment methods used in this study were effective in reducing pain. All treatment groups were effective in decreasing inflammatory cytokines of TNF-a and IL-6; the 650 nm LA and 650 nm LA+EA groups significantly reduced IL-1β. Conclusions : 650 nm LA and EA inhibit the production of collagenase-induced inflammatory mediators of osteoarthritis.

Design and fabrication of wind turbine have been investigated. As a component of wind turbine, the vertical type wind turbine with helical blades was designed. CFD analysis has performed with the 3D blade model. Small size blades were manufactured using a 3D printer. The performance of the assembled wind turbine was evaluated by the CFD analysis. It is confirmed that the rated power is well agreed with the design parameters. The concept of wind turbine can be applied as a high performance wind power generation system especially in urban environment considering landscape with the limited area.
고령자 특성을 반영한 주거단지 외부공간 재 조성계획 연구

본 연구는 세계 선진국들 중 가장 빠르게 고령화 사회로 진입한 우리나라의 실정에 맞추어 서울시와 SH공사가 전국 최초로 단지 전체를 고령자 맞춤형으로 시범 조성한 세곡4단지를 대상지로 선정하여, 내부공간에만 편중되어 있었던 노인주거시설 연구의 한계점을 밝혀내고 외부공간에 대한 중요성을 부각시킴으로써 노인을 고려한 외부주거환경 개선안을 제시하고자 하였다. 이에 본 연구는 노인주거환경에 관련한 선례연구를 통해 공간의 도입 방향과 선행연구를 통해 사회·인문·자연환경 조사를 근거로 노인에게 적합하게 계획된 광장 및 화단, 놀이터, 정원 등의 도입공간과 프로그램에 요구되는 공간을 상세계획 이미지를 통해 설명하였다. 이에 따른 연구 결과로 노인의 특성과 기존 아파트 단지 외부공간의 문제점을 바탕으로 하여 고령화맞춤주거단지 외부공간을 계획하는 방향을 밝혀내고, 노인건강 증진과 커뮤니티 창조를 위한 활동 프로그램 위주의 설계방안을 제시하였다. 따라서 노인주거단지의 종합적 디자인 가이드라인이 발전된다면 옥외에서 생활하는 노인에게 좀 더 쾌적한 환경을 마련해 줄 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. This study chose the Segok 4 Complex which is wholly adapted for the elderly by Seoul city and SH Corp. as the location according to the situation of Korea entry to the aging society most rapidly in the advanced countries. We tried to propose the improvement way for residential environment and creation the community to overcome social alienation by emphasizing importance of the outer space beyond the limitations of the study was biased to the internal space of the residential facilities for the elderly. The results of this study are as follows. First, we focused on the way to plan a outer space by considering the characteristics of the elderly and the problems of the existing apartment complex. Second, we suggested design oriented in health promotion for elderly and creation a community and importance of the outer space beyond the limitations of the study was biased to the internal space of the residential facilities for the elderly. Therefore, the more pleasant environment will be provided to the elderly who spend time outdoors if the guideline for the residential complex for the aged is drawed up and developed.
