This study has been performed to investigate the potential effects of by-product discarded after probiotics production (BPPP) on growth performance, immune gene expression, innate-immunity status, and disease resistance of carp, Cyprinus carpio. For 3 weeks, carp were fed four diets containing different levels of BPPP at 0, 0.1, 0.2 and 0.5% per kg of normal diet. Every 7 days of feeding, immune-related gene expression, serum lysozyme activity and ACH<sub>50</sub> were analyzed. Growth rates and challenge test with E. tarda were conducted after 3 weeks of BPPP feeding. Both lysozyme activity and ACH<sub>50</sub> were significantly (p<0.05) increased in all BPPP supplemented groups compared to the control at every 7 day for 3 weeks of feeding trial. The gene expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines, IL-1β and TNF-α was significantly (p<0.05) up-regulated until 21 days of feeding in all groups except for 0.2% group on day 7 post feeding. The anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10 gene expression was only significantly (p<0.05) increased in 0.1% group on day 7 and decreased (p<0.05) on day 14 in all BPPP supplemented groups. On day 21, the IL-10 gene expression was augmented (p<0.05) in all groups. SOD gene expression was significantly (p<0.05) increased compared to the control on day 14 and 21 post feeding, whereas no significant difference was observed on day 7. In challenging test, 0.2%, 0.1%, 0.5% and control group showed 80%, 70%, 60% and 40% of survival rate, respectively. Feed conversion rate was only improved in 0.5% group. In conclusion, the present study indicates that dietary BPPP suplementation improved growth performance, innate immune response and bactericidal activity in carp.

본 논문은 최근 4차 산업혁명의 핵심 키워드인 인공지능, 사물인터넷, 사이버-현실 융합, 인더스트리 4.0, 지능정보사회에 주목하여, 산업 환경이 급격하게 변화함에 따라 변화하는 산업 생태계에서 경쟁력을 창출할 수 있는 방안을 모색하고자 한다. 특히 4차 산업혁명에서 제조업과 정보통신기술(ICT)을 융합한 스마트 팩토리 플랫폼 서비스를 중소기업에게 지원하고 있는 ‘(주)울랄라랩’ 사례를 통해 최근 4차 산업혁명에 대한 이해 및 중소 제조기업의 경쟁력에 대해 고찰하고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 스마트 팩토리의 산업 경쟁력을 분석하기 위해 포터의 다이아몬드 모델을 활용하였다. 이후 4차 산업혁명 아래 (주)울랄라랩의 성공사례와 전략을 고찰하고, 이를 통해 향후 국내 중소벤처기업이 나아가야할 방향 및 전략, 그리고 스마트 팩토리의 다양한 활용 가능성 등 시사점을 제시하였다. This paper focuses on artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, cyber-reality convergence (e.g., CPS), industry 4.0, and intelligent information society, which are key words of the 4th industrial revolution, and will create competitiveness in the changing industrial ecosystem. In particular, through the case of the UlalaLABs, Inc., which supports SMEs with smart factory platform services that combine manufacturing and information and communication technologies (ICTs) in the 4th industrial revolution, this paper will examine the recent 4th Industrial Revolution and the competitiveness of small and medium manufacturers. In this study, Porter's diamond model was used to analyze the industrial competitiveness of smart factory. Through the success stories and strategies of UlalaLABs, Inc. under the 4th industrial revolution, we presented the strategic implications such as the direction of domestic SME venture companies and various utilization of Smart Factory.
Taurine-F<sup>TM</sup>의 근육 주사가 넙치의 간 독성 완화와 선천성 면역에 미치는 효과

In the study, we investigated the effect of Taurine-F<sup>TM</sup>, which is a commercially available fishery nutritional supplements complex, on anti-hepatotoxicity stressed with thioacetamide (TAA) and innate immune responses in olive flounder. To investigate the change in liver toxicity, firstly, TAA (30 ppm/100 g of fish) was intraperitoneally (i.p.) administered 12 hr after the intramuscular (i.m.) injection of Taurine-F<sup>TM</sup> (0.02 ml/100 g of fish)(Taurine/TAA). Secondly, Taurine-F<sup>TM</sup> was i.m. injected 24 hr after the administration of TAA (TAA/Taurine). Finally, TAA was administered simultaneously with Taurine-F<sup>TM</sup> (TAA+Taurine). All blood samples were collected 24 hr after injection. GOT level in group Taurine/TAA appeared similar to the control, whereas group TAA/Taurine and TAA+Taurine showed significantly increased (p<0.05) levels compared to the control. In GPT level, group Taurine/TAA and TAA/Taurine showed elevated levels compared to the control, whereas no significant difference was observed between group TAA+Taurine and the control. Serum ACH<sub>50</sub> activity was significantly (p<0.05) augmented 24 hr after Taurine-F<sup>TM</sup> injection compared to the control group, whereas no significant increase was observed 48 hr after Taurine-F<sup>TM</sup> injection. On the other hand, serum lysozyme activity elevated in an acute stressed condition appeared significantly down-regulated 24 and 48 hr after Taurine-F<sup>TM</sup> injection compared to the control. In conclusion, i.m. injected Taurine-F<sup>TM</sup> augmented flounder serum complement activity and decreased a possible handling stress resulting in reducing a serum lysozyme activity and recovering hepatotoxicity. Thus, it is assumed that i.m. injection of Taurine-F<sup>TM</sup> mixed with antibiotics or available vaccines could be utilized as an anti-hepatotoxic recipe in fish culture industry.
수원 화성 과학 탐방을 통한 문화재에 대한 과학적 안목 형성 지도

Science field trip on historical heritages in Korea has developed since 1998. There are a few discussion of effectiveness of science field trip on historical heritages. In this research, the aim of science field trip on historical heritages was discussed in view of developing scientific perspectives on historical heritages with cases of science field trip of Hwasong fortress. Material for science field trip of Hwasong fortress was developed and instructional strategy was designed. The material contained convergent and divergent scientific inquiry activities. The goal of the activity was to help students to build scientific perspectives on the historical heritage, so they can evaluate the scientific excellency of historical heritage. The subjects were ten ninth grade students of middle school science club in Seoul. A questionnaire, evaluation of scientific excellency of historical heritage was administered before and after the field trip. From the analysis of a change in perspective by field trip, it was investigated how the scientific perspective on historical heritages was developed. The first draft of material for science field trip of Hwasong fortress was developed based on science education experts` discussion. The material has three parts; activities before the trip, activities during the trip and activities after trip. Instructor`s guide has the same structure. Before the field trip, students watched the videotape and learned the short history lesson about Hwasong fortress to develop familiarity. During the trip, there were exploring stage and intensive inquiring stage. These activities were designed to develop scientific perspective on historical heritage. After the field trip, evaluation activity about scientific value of Hwasong was done based on the activities done during the trip. After the science field trip of Hwasong fortress, most of students showed positive changes. Some of them reflected on their previous thoughts. Some recognized the necessity of the proper criteria for scientific excellency of historical heritage. All changed in their perspective on evaluating scientific aspects on historical heritage, such as considering the social environment, scientific principles and the influence of science and technology of that age on the society, when the fortress was built. These results show that the science field trip focused on the criteria for evaluating the scientific excellency of historical heritage was significant in helping students to develop the scientific perspective on historical heritage.
레고 마인드스톰 로봇을 활용한 STEAM 교육 프로그램 개발 및 적용

과학, 기술, 공학, 예술, 그리고 수학을 통합한 STEAM 프로그램은 중등 교육에서 필수적인 요소로 자리 잡았고 소프트웨어 교육은 앞으로 중등학교에서 필수 이수과목으로 선정될 예정이다. 본 연구에서는 STEAM 교육과 함께 소프트웨어 교육 자료로 레고 마인드스톰 로봇 활용방안을 제안하고자 한다. 5차시로 개발된 STEAM 교육 프로그램은 차시별로 STEAM 교육에서의 핵심적인 요소를 포함하여 문제해결중심으로 구성되었고, 이를 수업에 적용하여 사례를 분석하였다. 분석 결과 레고 로봇을 활용한 STEAM 프로그램은 학생들에게 창의적인 사고와 문제해결 방법에 대해 구상 할 수 있는 기회를 제공하고 소프트웨어 교육과 과학 수업에의 활용 가능성에 대해 긍정적인 결과를 보였다. 또한 본 연구에서 개발한 프로그램은 방과 후 수업, 영재수업 등 현장에 적용 가능함을 알 수 있었다. STEAM program as integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics became essential part of secondary education and software education will be a required subject in secondary schools. In this study, we propose the application of the Lego mindstorms robotics programs for the developments of both STEAM and software educational materials. Our program consisting of five hours of classes is made based on the problem solving strategies. According to students’ impression obtained after our program had been applied, our program appears to provide students opportunities for conceiving creative thinking and problem solving strategies. It also shows positive results for the application to the software and science educations as well as other extracurricular such as after school programs or programs for gifted students.
