This study was to investigate the effect of muscular activation in lubar muscles according to muscle strength imbalance of left and right lower limbs. The ten young women who have muscle strength difference in left and right leg were recruited through isokinetic joint torque test. They walked on the treadmill during one minute with velocity, direction and slope protocol. We measured muscular activity in vastus medialis, tibialis anterior, gastrocnemius, lliocostalis lumborum using bagnoli-8ch system(Delsys. Co., USA). The results showed significantly that the bigger velocity and slope level was, the bigger muscular activity differences of lumbar muscle were. But there did not show significantly in the result of gait direction. The bigger muscle imbalance of lumbar muscle occurred during walk with increased velocity and slope caused the complementary muscle activation with increased workload. This study could apply to fundamental research of chronic disease treat in muscle imbalance.

Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute is developing a SFR(Sodium-cooled Fast Reactor) which is one of the generation IV nuclear reactors. The SFR is composed of four main fluid systems which are categorized by its functions, i.e, PHTS(Primary Heat Transport System), IHTS(Intermediate Heat Transport System), SGS(Steam Generation System) and DHRS(Decay Heat Removal System). The coolant of the SFR is liquid sodium and sodium-to-sodium heat exchangers are installed at the interfaces between two fluid systems, PHTS to IHTS and PHTS to DHRS. For the design and performance analysis of the heat exchangers, a computer code have been written. In this work, the computer code named SHXSA is validated through the CFD simulations.
Fuse Element 제조에 Photoetching 응용

For fuse element fabrication with glass-ceramic substrate, photoetching technic was applied. To control copper layer thickness on glass-ceramic substrate, continuous electroless plating rates were monitored using QCM method. Plating rates were 0.6∼l㎛/hr, which value increased with Rochelle Salts addition. At 0.1%HF, 2min etching condition, adhesion between glass-ceramic and copper layer was most favorable. Etching factor value was most favorable at 1.8kgf/min injection pressure and 2.5M/L of etchant concentration. Fuse element design of stepped layer was a little effective for arc duration and preventing fuse temperature from rising suddenly.
Hyperglycemia 환자에서의 TNA (Total Nutrient Admixture) 효과

This study investigate whether hyperglycemia patient's nutrition and glucose tolerance that were failed by IVH(Intra Venous Hyperalimentation) are improved by TNA(Total Nutrient Admixture). This research was conducted from March 1995 to October 1996 with 21 patients ; ① group A was treated with TNA administration after IVH(12 patients), ② group B was started with TNA(9 patients). As a result of observing glucose, insulin dose and nutritional condition retropectively before and after TNA administration, ① the glucose of group A - mean glucose was 289.4±82.71 before IVH administration and was 332.2±66.3 after IVH administration - decreased to 261.3±73.31 after a week, 237.9±45.40 after 2 weeks and 187.7±51.1(㎎/㎗) after 3 weeks ; ② the mean glucose of group B also decreased to 180.8±60.0 after TNA administration - before was 229.9±93.7(㎎/㎗) ; ③ insulin dose went down after TNA administration than before ; ④ the nitrogen balances of group A and B showed both positive conditions - the nitrogen balances of group A were 0.6±3.9 and 3.0±3.2 respectively when finished IVH and TNA administration, and group B was 1.7±4.6.
