        Reconstruction of the composite mandibular defect resulting from ablative resection of tumor involved jaw has been challenging task to the plastic surgeon. A wide variety of different techniques were used with limited success until the advent of microsurgery. The high success rate of microsurgical procedures has allowed for significant improvement in both functional and aesthetic results. A variety of free flap donor sites have been used successfully for mandibular reconstruction. Between April of 1991 and August of 1998, 20 mandibular reconstructions were performed for oncologic defects. 4 patients underwent mandibular reconstruction with pectoralis major flap, 3 patients with free nonvascularized bone graft, 1 patient with metal plate. 12 patients underwent microvascular mandibular reconstruction(8: fibula, 4: ilium). The type of free flap was determined by the requirements of the defect. Satisfactory aesthetic and functional results were achieved in all cases without significant complications. So microvascular mandibular reconstruction should be considered as primary choice in all mandibular defect without hesitation.

        거문도를 중심으로 하는 세일링요트 안전항로 개발에 관한 연구 - 전남 여수 거문도와 제주특별자치도 김녕항 루트를 중심으로 -

        본 연구는 여수에서 출항하여 백도와 도서문화가 살아있는 거문도를 거쳐 제주 김녕항으로 이어지는 해양관광 크루즈 세일링 요트 항로를 제안하였다. 최근 해양레저 활성화에 비례하여 안전사고도 늘어나고 있으며, 세일링 요트의 특성을 고려한 안전항로 개척은 지역별, 해역별로 조사되어야 한다. 따라서 거문도의 사례를 통해 분석해 보면 해양문화의 소개, 국제요트대회유치, 다기능항으로 개발 등이 필요하고, 특히 해당 항로의 운항패턴과 밀집도 분석 등이 추가로 도출되어야 할 것이다. 이러한 정보는 세일링 요트의 운항 안전율을 높여 지역 관광산업에 도움이 될 것이다. This study suggests a navigation route for maritime tourism cruise sail yacht that sails off from Yeosu, and passes by Baekdo and Geomundo with their live island culture, to Kimnyeonghang of the Jeju islands. Recently, there are increasing number of accidents in proportion to vitalizing marine leisure. That's why it should be examined by region and sea when developing safe sea route considering characteristics of the sailing yacht. Thus, it is needed to introduce marine culture, hold international sailing yacht race and develop multi-functional sea port according to the case of Geomundo. Also additional analysis for navigation ruote patterns and density of the fairway is required. This information will improve safe sailing level of sailing yacht that will help the local tourism industry.

        증기발생기 전열관 와전류검사용 국내 개발 보빈탐촉자 적용성 분석

        Steam Generator(SG) tube is an important component of Nuclear Power Plant(NPP), which is the pressure boundary between the primary and secondary systems. The integrity of SG tube has been confirmed by the eddy current test every outage. The eddy current technique adopting bobbin probe is currently the primary technique for the steam generator tubing integrity assesment. The bobbin probe is one of the essential components which consist of the whole ECT examination system and provides us a decisive data for the evaluation of tube integrity. Until now, all of the ECT bobbin probes in Korea which is necessary to carry out inspection are imported from overseas. However, KHNP has recently developed the bobbin probe design technology and transferred it to domestic manufacturers to fabricate the probes. This study has been conducted to establish technical requirements applicable to the steam generator tube inspection using the bobbin probes fabricated by the domestic manufactures. The results have been compared with the results obtained by using foreign probe to identify the availability to the steam generator tube inspection. As a result, it is confirmed that the domestic bobbin probe is generally applicable to SG tube inspection in the NPPs.

        소프트웨어 로봇들은 시뮬레이트된 센서와 실행기들을 가지고 가상 환경 안에서 자율적으로 동작하는 지능형 가상 에이전트로 볼 수 있다. 지능형 가상 에이전트 연구용 테스트베드들은 에이전트들의 성능 평가를 위해 표준화된 작업들을 구현할 수 있고, 환경이나 실험 에이전트들을 제어할 수 있는 도구들이다. 본 논문에서는 RoboCup 축구 시뮬레이션시스템, Gamebots 시스템, USARSim 시스템 등과 같은 지능형 가상 에이전트와 멀티 에이전트시스템 연구를 위한 대표적인 테스트베드들을 간략히 소개한다.

        배열형 탐촉자를 이용한 증기발생기 세관 검사 적용성 검토

        Steam Generator(SG) tube is an important component of Nuclear Power Plant(NPP), which comprises of the pressure boundary of primary system. The integrity of SG tube has been confirmed by the eddy current test every outage. In Korea, Bobbin probe and MRPC probe have been generally used for the eddy current test. Meanwhile the usage of Array probe has gradually increased in U.S., Japan and other countries. In this study, we investigated the defect detection capability of the Array probe through its preliminary application to SG tube inspection. The Array probe has the equivalent capability in the defect detection and sizing as the conventional methods. Thus it is desirable that the Array probe is generally applied to SG tube inspection in the domestic NPPs.

        Primary Cancer of the duodenum is rare. The rarity and the non-specific symptoms of this cancer make the diagnosis difficult and are major factors contributing to its poor prognosis. As the prognosis of primary cancer of the duodenum, once metastasized, is poor, a greater awareness of the possibility of a duodenal cancer must accompany aggressive diagnostic and surgical procedures. We report our experience of a patient with primary adenocarcinoma of the duodenum with a brief review of literatures.

        소셜 네트워크를 통한 영어 형태어휘 지도

        The purpose of this study is that there are meaningful differences between experiment group and control group. The experiment group had classes by the method of the Social networking program "Facebook". Otherwise, the control group had by the oral lecture in the class room. It was morphologic vocabularies for these two groups have class to enhance their English skills. Two groups were almost freshmen(46 & 44 students) in the course of Practical English. The course was run with morphologic words, especially Anglo-Saxon, Latin and Greek prefixes. For the proper result, we designed the 16 weeks programs with the social network program(Facebook) to experiment group and with paper materials to control group. The results of this study are showing that experiment group gets higher scores than control group with vocabulary test after class. Also, experiment group has shown advanced results over control group to almost every survey inquiries. The statistical analyses for those inquiries are run by t-test, x2 and p test. In conclusion, this study results suggest that using social networking interface(e.g. Facebook) for students who need to learn morphological English words are proper method.

        인적요인을 고려한 연안해역 위험도 평가모델 비교 · 분석

        국제기구에서 제시해 온 해양사고 예방대책은 주로 선박의 구조 및 복원성 강화, 선원의 교육 · 훈련, 해상교통환경 개선에 중점을 둔 것이었다. 해양사고통계를 분석한 결과, 사고는 주로 연안해역에서 인적요인에 의해 발생하였다. 이에 기존의 사고예방대책들이 통계분석 결과에 호응하는지 검토하기 위해 사고조사기법인 SHELL모델에 대입하였다. 결과적으로 연안해역에서 인간과실을 방지하기 위해서는 선박 운항자와 항행여건 사이의 상호작용에 대한 인간공학적 접근이 필요함이 도출되었다. 이를 위해 인간의 의사결정 메커니즘으로써 라스무센의 SRK 피라미드, 사고로 표현된 해상운송시스템의 붕괴에 관한 미국 연안경비대 등의 조사 지침서, 그리고 위험성평가모델인 IWRAP, PAWSA, ES모델, PARK모델과 NURI모델의 장단점을 검토하였다. 그 결과, 비록 기존의 위험성 평가모델은 항만이나 접근수로에서 유효성이 인정되었다고 하나 연안해역에서는 보완이 필요하며, 선박운항자가 직관적으로 해역의 상대적 위험도를 인식할 수 있도록 위험표시도를 발간할 필요가 있으며 이를 위해 선박운항자가 느끼는 정성적 위험도를 정량적으로 표시하기 위한 새로운 한국형 모델의 개발 필요성을 제안하였다. For the prevention of marine casualties, international bodies have mainly focused on strengthening ship's stability and design, maritime education and training, and improving maritime traffic environment. Statistics analysis on marine casualties showed that most of casualties occurred in coastal waters, especially by human elements. In order to review the conformity of existing prevention measures with the result of the statistics analysis, the IMO's SHELL model was applied to the established measures. As a result, ergonomic approaches were needed for the prevention of human errors in coastal waters, so that the priority should be given to the interface between ship's operator and navigational environment. For this study, Rasmussen's SRK pyramid, which showed decision making mechanism of human, and the US Coast Guard's investigation manual on marine casualties concerning the collapse of safe maritime transportation system were reviewed, and the merits and demerits within the risk assessment tools such as IWRAP, PAWSA, ES model, PARK model, and NURI model were also studied. Although the effectiveness of the existing risk assessment models was proved in ports and approaching channels, it is concluded that the need of new models for converting Korean seafarers' qualitative risk to quantitative risk was proposed so as to print hazard maps which make seafarers instinctively recognize comparative hazard levels of coastal waters.
