A Study on the Design of Transmission Oil-Seal Using 2D Finite Element Analysis

Oil seals are most essential parts in mechanical lubrication system to maintain the close gaps between stationary and high rotating components, and to help prevent oil leakages. Oil seals also can prevent harmful contaminants entering from outside to machinery, especially in severe environments. Therefore, the oil seals have an important performance in the machinery components. The performance of the oil seals are influenced by the design variables such as amount of interference gap between the main lip and shaft, the angle of main lip at air and oil sides and the distance between the garter spring and main lip. In the present study, a finite element analysis was performed to evaluate the oil seal performance with the considerations of number of oil seal dust lips and angle of the lip at oil side with the different design variables. As a result from the FEM analysis, the stress and contact pressure distributions was derived, based on this, performance of the sealing and durability were determined.
도시 시각정보의 생산과 유통의 통합체계 연구 : 서울시 시각정보 현황을 중심으로

서울시 시각정보체계의 목표는 시각정보의 생산과 적용과정의 프로세스를 체계화하여 정보, 생산자, 사용자간의 유기적 통합을 통해 도시의 정체성을 드러내는 통합적 시스템을 구축하는 것이다. 본 연구는 먼저 도시 공공시각정보의 정의와 구성요소, 시각화의 구성, 전달형식과 방법에 대한 이론적 틀을 제시하였다. 그리고 현재 서울시 시각정보의 생산 및 유통 현황을 시각 정보의 유형에 따라 파악하고, 행정주체별 분절적 시각정보 생산에 따른 현황과 문제점을 분석하였다. 또한 사용자 여정평가를 통해 정보 사용자의 입장에서 시각정보 환경을 파악하고 시각정보 유통의 연계성을 향상시키기 위한 평가요소들을 제시하였다. 이러한 과정을 통해 사용자 중심의 시각정보의 전달의 일관성과 연계성, 통합적 관점에서 시각정보의 생산과 유통을 통합적으로 관리할 수 있는 체계의 수립을 제안하였다. The purpose of integrated systems for visual information of Seoul is systematizing the process of production and distribution of it so that the identity of Seoul can be promoted through the integrated organization among information, builder, and user. First, this study suggests an theoretical frame about the definition of urban visual information, its elements, the process of visualization, and medium. This study also analyzes the situation of production and distribution of visual information of Seoul, and finds the absence of consistency caused by administrative agencies` separative management. This study understands the real state of visual information of Seoul from user standpoint through user itinerary evaluation, and suggests an evaluation checklist for seamless distribution of visual information. Thus this study proposes to establish an effective integrated system to develop the consistency and seamlessness of production and distribution of visual information.

System Alignment is needed to develop more precise and fine weapon systems. There are typical methods to align and assemble the substructure of weapon system such as Laser or Optical tools. Laser Tools will give us more realistic and comfortable solution to our weapon fields. This paper propose Align method for hybrid system and compares and analyzes systemic performance between optical and laser tools to align hybrid weapon effectively. One of the Laser Tools has lots of advantages that measure status of alignment precisely without using optical mirror and lense. In this study we studied Laser Tools for Armored Combat Vehicle as a special use and military specification and tried to do a case study that applies to one of the unique military weapon system. By using optical tools and Laser tools we tried to find proper and prompt method and its solutions to check our misalignment in the Hybrid weapon. When we need to make our new weapon with a small modification of previous system, we should apply this method to align new substructure of weapon which we can select. The results show that Laser tools and Optical tools give one of the best solutions to align hybrid and complicate weapon which is needed to have high-precision weapon such as gun or laser weapon.
