The purpose of the present study was to examine the child care teacher`s ego-resilience, emotional labor, and personal characteristics on their burnout. It was expected that the child care teachers would feel less burnout if they have higher ego-resilience and lower emotional labor compared to those with lower ego-resilience and higher emotional labor. A survey was administered to 218 child care teachers in Seoul area using Maslach Burnout Inventory, California Personality Inventory, and Emotional Labor Scale. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics and multiple regression using SPSS PC program(12.0 version). Major findings were as follows: First, child care teachers` burnout was not so high. Second, teacher`s burnout was different depending on their personal factors such as age, marriage, and income. Last, child care teachers` burnout was explained by their emotional labor and ego-resilience.
아버지-자녀가 함께하는 프로그램이 아버지의 부모효능감, 아버지-자녀 상호작용, 자녀 양성성에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 아버지와 자녀가 함께하는 프로그램이 아버지와 자녀에게 미치는 영향을 알아보는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구 대상은 서울시 Y구에 위치한 유아교육기관에 재원중인 아버지와 유아기 자녀 80쌍이며, 본 연구에서 수집된 자료는 SPSSWin 16.0 프로그램을 이용하여 T-검정을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 아버지와 자녀가 함께하는 프로그램은 아버지의 부모효능감 하위영역 중 부모로서의 효능감 향상에 효과가 있었으며, 아버지-자녀 상호작용의 하위요인 중 정서적 애정표현, 활동공유 애정표현 향상과 비일관적 행동감소에 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 자녀의 성역할 개념을 통한 양성성 변화에 미치는 영향을 알아본 결과, 가사일과 놀이에서 양성적 개념 향상에 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 통해 아버지들이 양육에 참여하여 자녀의 건강한 성장을 돕고, 양성 평등한 가정 확립에 유용한 기초자료로 활용하고자 한다. The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of a father-child program on the father and the child. The subjects of this study were 80 pairs of fathers and children in early childhood who are enrolled in a child education institute located in Y, Seoul City. The data collected in this study were gathered by using the SPSSWin 16.0 program and conducting a T-test. The study results are as follows. The father-child program was effective in the enhancement of parental efficacy amongst the subdomain of parenting efficacy. Additionally, it was shown that father-child interaction was effective for the enhancement of expression of emotional affection and activity sharing expression of affection as well as the decline of inconsistent behaviors. Moreover, as a result of examining the influence caused by the gender role concept of the child on the changes of androgyny, it was shown that house chores and plays were effective for the enhancement of androgyny. Such results will be applied as useful basic data for fathers to participate in nurturing and supporting the healthy growth of their children as well-established families with gender equality.
다문화가족 자녀생활서비스 방문교육지도사의 직무만족도에 관한 연구: 개인 특성과 근무 특성 변인 중심으로

This study was designed to investigate variables influencing the job satisfaction of visiting supervisors for multicultural families in charge of childcare services. It focused on personal characteristics including personal and job characteristics. The subjects in this study were 784 visiting supervisors for multicultural families in charge of childcare services in 140 multicultural family centers located across Korea. The job satisfaction of these visiting supervisors was measured using a self-administered questionnaire, and the collected data were analyzed using a frequency analysis, analysis of variance, and post hoc tests. The findings of this study were as follows: first, these visiting supervisors showed a relatively high level of job satisfaction. However, the job satisfaction subscales of treatment and salary were relatively low. Second, the results revealed significant differences in effects of the variables related to the personal characteristics of the visiting supervisors, such as their age, education level, and their major in college, on their total job satisfaction and subscales (job performance, treatment and salary, work ethic and aptitude). Finally, the results revealed significant differences in the effects of the variables related to the job characteristics of the visiting supervisors, such as their responsibilities, career, number of children to handle, and age of children to handle, on the total job satisfaction and subscales (treatment and salary, relationship with caregivers).

The purpose of this study was to investigate (1) the developmental level of children`s concept of gender by age and sex. (2) children`s sex-specific behaviors by age and sex, and (3) children`s sex-specific behaviors by developmental level of gender constancy. The subjects were 164 children (forty 3-year-olds, forty-three 5-year-olds, forty 7-year-olds and forty-one 9-year olds) with nearly equal numbers of boys and girls. They were selected from two kindergartens and one elementary school. A quasi experiment was carried out with the procedures described by Slaby and Frey (1976) to measure children`s developmental level of the concept of gender constancy. Two experiments were carried out to observe children`s sex-specific behaviors: one for children`s toy choice behavior and the other for children`s interaction with their peers. Statistical methods adopted for data analysis were frequencies. percentiles, mean. and X². It was found that children`s sex-specific behaviors were different according to their developmental level of gender constancy. Children`s developmental level of gender constancy was significantly different according to their age, but there was no difference according to their sex. Children`s toy-choice behavior was significantly different according to their age and sex. Children`s sex-specific behaviors were significantly different according to their concept of gender constancy.
