This article aims to argue that a theological perspective on the contemporary cosmology can attribute cosmic significance to the special status of humanity and its ethical valuation and agency, The ethical valuation and agency centers on relating parts to a whole in a given context according to one`s own perspective, Cosmology as a totality of rational explanations on the universe is concerned with ethical valuation and agency. Gustafson`s Theocentric Ethics, which emphasizes the limit and the ambiguity of ethical responsibility in valuation and agency, criticizes for committing the fallacy of anthropocentrism any affirmation of the special status of humanity in its ethical valuation and agency in the whole universe. Such a claim is grounded on the belief that any theological-ethical position is not to make any contradiction with modern cosmological statements which at last suggest the insignificance of humanity against the backdrop of the massiveness of the universe and the long history of evolution of life. However, not only the theocentric ethics itself shows that even it cannot be totally free from its own version of anthropocentrism, but also the current development of modern cosmology reveals that humanity as the intelligent being can be considered as the singularity retaining quite a magnificent significance in the whole cosmic dimension. Such a point would provide a sufficient foundation for affirming the providential significance of the special status of humanity and its vocation in the whole universe with a possible term of providential anthropocentrism.

본 연구는 전국 지역 소방서에 종사하는 918명 소방관을 대상으로 직무스트레스와 우울 및 피로도와의 관련성을 규명하고자 하였다. 설문방법은 자기기입식 방법으로 조사하였으며, 수집된 자료는 SPSS WIN15.0 통계 프로그램을 이용하여 상관분석, 다단계 다중회귀분석, 공분산 구조분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 직무스트레스 변수를 범주화 시켜 우울 및 피로도를 설명하는 구조에서 직무 및 정서스트레스가 우울증 및 피로도에 직접적으로 가장 큰 효과를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로, 소방공무원들의 우울 및 피로는 직무스트레스와 유의한 관련이 있었다. 우울과 피로의 감소를 위한 적절한 스트레스 관리대책이 필요할 것으로 생각된다. This study aims to identify job stress of firemen and the relations between their job stress, depression and fatigue, targeting firemen who are working for local fire stations. We interviewed the subjects using a short-answer type questionnaire or a online questionnaire. The data collected were analysed with a use of SPSS WIN 15.0 for confidence analysis, correlation analysis, step-by-step multi-regression analysis, and covariance structure analysis(CSA). This study result tasks and emotional stress had a direct effect on depression and fatigue. Therefore, this study suggests that governmental management should be provided for firemen that are classified as a high-risk group in occupational characteristics. Above all, the causes of stress should be diagnosed, its management goals should be set, and effective intervention programs should be provided.
