여성 노인 도박자 생애사 연구

본 연구는 반평생 동안 도박을 지속했던 여성 노인의 생애들 생애사 연구방법을 동해 분석한 것이다. 인간의 행위는 개인과 환경의 상호작용 결과이며, 도박 행위는 개인의 생애사적 작업의 독특하고 고유한 결과라는 전제 아래, 연구자들은 여성 노인 도박자가 한국 사회에서 도박을 체험하는 방식과 다양한 의미 변화를 살펴보았다. 연구자들은 이순자 씨의 생애사 자료를 분석하기 위해 전체 생애 기록의 서사구조를 파악하였으며 생애관점과 서술전략을 분석 기준으로 삼았다. 분석결과, 이순자 씨의 생애 전체를 관통하는 생애사적 관점은 「타인의 손에 이끌려 나쁜 길로 인도되는 인생」이었다. 인생의 전환기 마다 다른 사람의 손에 이끌렸다고 표현하는 진술방식은 도박행위를 포함한 결과가 좋지 못했던 과거의 선택들을 정당화하기 위한 서술전략으로 분석된다. 이순자 씨의 도박경험은 크게 세 부분으로 나눌 수 있으며 각각의 의미를 다음과 같이 도출하였다 첫째, 도박의 첫 경험은 「억압과 일탈의 변증법적 작용」의 결과였고 둘째, 일본에서의 도박은 「통시적 조건과 공시적 조건의 교차」의 결과였으며 마지막으로 정선 카지노에서의 도박 경험은 「합법적 도박자에서 앵벌이로 , 다시 회복자로」 변화하는 과점이었다. 본 연구결과에 기반하여 도박자들이 돈에 부여하는 의미와 여성의 도박행위와 관련한 의미를 새롭게 해석해 제시하였다는 점 등을 학문적 합의로 제시하였고, 실천적 합의로 실천현장에서 도박자들이 돈에 부여하는 의미에 민감하게 반응할 필요성과 가족관계 재건이 도움이 될 수 있음을 제시하였다. This study aims to analyze a life history of an elderly female gambler who gambled about thirty years. Under the premise that human behavior, gambling, can have meanings developed by interaction between a gambler and environment, authors interpreted lived-experience and various kind of meanings of gambling. Her life history showed contextualized meanings of gambling, reflecting sociocultural circumstances of Korea, especially as a female gambler. To analyze her life history authors interpreted a narrative structure, theme and narrative strategy of her life history data. Result of analysis indicated that theme of narrative was 「Others seduced me to go awry from my innocent ways」. The reason that she always placed someone else before major transition of her life in story was interpreted as narrative strategy to justify her gambling experience to interviewer. Her gambling experience was separated into three segments and results of analysis and interpretation are as follows - first, her first gambling experience was a consequence of 「dialectical interaction of oppression and deviation」, second, her second gambling experience in Japan was a consequence of 「reciprocal action of diachronic and synchronic conditions」, finally, her last gambling experience in Kangwonland was the process of change 「from legitimated gambler to panhandler, and recovery again」. Based on the results, authors suggested program that rebuild family relationships for pathological gamblers.

코로나 팬데믹이 강원랜드 카지노 장기체류 도박자의 도박 행위 및 일상에 미친 영향에 관한 질적 연구

코로나 팬데믹은 우리 사회 전반에 걸쳐 가공할만한 변화를 초래했으며, 정신건강 영역에 있어서도 유의한 영향을 미쳤을 것으로 예상된다. 코로나 사태는 정신건강의 여러 이슈 중에서도 문제성 도박과 관련된 사회적 조건과 맥락을 변화시켰다. 먼저 코로나 팬데믹으로 인한 지엽적 봉쇄령 및 사회적 거리두기 정책, 작업환경의 변화는 사람들의 고립감, 불안감 및 우울감 등 심리정서적 디스트레스 상황을 야기했다. 또한 각종 영업장 운영 및 이동 제한 조치는 문제성 도박자를 포함한 많은 사회 구성원의 재정적 위기로 이어졌다. 마지막으로 스포츠 경기 및 국내외 지상 기반 오프라인 사행산업체 운영 중단은 일부 합법적 사행산업체에 대한 접근성을 원천적으로 차단시켰다. 선행 연구자들은 위와 같은 각각의 조건 및 요인이 도박자의 문제성 도박 행위를 악화시키거나 반대로 호전시킬 수 있다는 연구 결과를 제시한 바 있다. 그렇다면 코로나 팬데믹으로 인하여 조성된 유례 없는 사회적 환경안에서, 문제성 도박자들의 일상과 도박 행위는 실제로 어떻게 변화했을 것인가? 이것이 본 연구의 주요 연구 질문이다. 위 연구 질문에 답하기 위하여, 본 연구에서는 강원랜드 카지노 장기체류 도박자 20명을 대상으로 질적 연구를 수행하고, 그 결과를 제시하였다. 카지노 장기체류 도박자는 국내 유일의 내국인 대상 강원랜드 카지노 인근 지역에 도박으로 인해 유입되어 정착한 사람들로, 이미 코로나 이전부터 심각한 문제성 도박 행위와 도박 관련 폐해를 경험한다고 보고된 바 있다. 본 연구에서는 참여자들의 언어를 통하여 코로나 이후 카지노 주변 지역과 장기체류 도박자들이 체험한 부정적⋅긍정적 변화의 내용들을 심도있게 기술하고, 그러한 체험을 가능하게 한 기제를 해석 및 설명하였다. 연구 결과는 코로나 이후 장기체류 도박자 집단이 코로나 이전부터 얼마나 위기에 취약한 집단이었는가를 반증하는 동시에, 동일한 재난적 위기 상황에서도 문제성 도박자의 긍정적 변화가 가능함을 보여준다. COVID-19 pandemic caused significant changes throughout our society, and it is also expected to have major impacts on the mental health of the general population. Especially for the problem gambling, the pandemic has affected gambling-related social conditions and the context of gambling behaviors. First of all, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, restrictions such as quarantines, lockdown, social distancing, and changes in the working environment have escalated the risk of psychological and emotional distress like isolation, anxiety, and depression. Second, the economic recession caused by the COVID-19 pandemic has led to a financial crisis of the people including problem gamblers. Finally, the cessation of sports events and shutdown of land-based offline gambling venues ultimately have decreased accessibility to gambling sites. The outcomes of previous researches imply that each of these conditions and factors could increase or decrease gambling behaviors. In this context, our study focused on the behavioral changes and the status quo of the everyday lives of casino problem gamblers in consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic. For the purpose of this study, the authors have conducted qualitative research of twenty casino gamblers who had been residing at the local communities near Kangwon Land casino. Participants were problem gamblers who had immigrated to the nearby area of Kangwon Land and settled as a member of local communities because of gambling. Former research has already pointed out that this group of problem gamblers had been experiencing gambling-related harms even before the COVID-19 pandemic. In this study, the authors described their positive and negative experiences related to their gambling and the significant changes after the COVID-19 pandemic in-depth. Also, the authors have provided the interpretation of the mechanism underlying their experience and suggested practical implications for the intervention after the COVID-19 pandemic. The results show both the vulnerability of casino gamblers to the crisis since before the COVID-19 pandemic and the possibility of positive changes in problematic behaviors even in a catastrophic situation.

어머니의 정서표현수용태도와 유아의 정서조절능력의 관계: 유아의 실행기능을 통한 어머니 놀이참여도의 조절된 매개효과

본 연구는 어머니의 정서표현수용태도가 유아의 실행기능을 매개로 하여 정서조절능력에 미치는 간접효과가 어머니의 놀이참여도에 따라 차이가 나는지를 살펴봄으로써 어머니의 정서표현수용태도와 유아의 정서조절능력 간 관계를 보다 구체적으로 설명하고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 조절된 매개모형을 적용하였고, 이를 통해 유아의 정서조절 능력에 영향을 주는 변수들을 통합적으로 살펴봄으로써 깊이 있는 이해를 돕고자 한다. 본 연구는 연구 참여에 동의한 만 4, 5세 유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니 411명을 대상으로 진행하였다. 다음으로 연구모형 검증을 위해 PROCESS Macro의 모델 4, 1, 7을 활용하여 확인하였다. 연구결과, 어머니의 정서표현수용태도와 유아의 정서조절능력 관계에서 유아의 실행기능의 매개효과와 어머니의 정서표현수용태도, 유아의 실행기능 간 관계에서 어머니 놀이참여도의 조절효과를 확인한 결과 모두 유의미한 것으로 확인하였다. 마지막으로 어머니의 긍정적인 정서표현수용태도는 유아의 실행기능 수준이 높아지고 정서조절능력 또한 향상되는 매개효과가 검증되었으며 이러한 간접효과를 어머니의 놀이참여도가 조절하는 조절된 매개효과 또한 유의하게 나타났다. 이를 통해 어머니의 적극적인 놀이참여가 유아의 실행기능과 정서조절능력과 연관성이 높은 환경적 요인임을 시사하는 바이다. This study examined the moderated mediation effect of a mother’s attitude toward a child’s expressiveness, the child’s executive functioning and the mother’s play participation on the child’s emotional regulation. The study participants included 411 mothers of children aged from 4-5 years. Data were analyzed using models 4, 1, and 7 of the PROCESS Macro. As a result of this research, the relationship of the mother’s attitude toward the child’s expressiveness with the child’s emotional regulation was that this was indeed mediated by the child’s executive functioning. Additionally, the mother’s play participation moderated the relationship between the mother’s attitude toward her child’s expressiveness and the child’s executive functioning. Further, the mother’s play participation according to level had a moderated mediation effect. These results indicate that the mother's play participation has a high correlation with the child's executive functioning and emotional regulation.
