Productivity is one of the performance indices of the semiconductor equipment in manufacturing viewpoint. Among many ways tried and adopted for improvement of the productivity of the FAB equipment, variation of equipment configuration was considered and its effect on the throughput was analyzed. Parallel machine cycle charts that were generated based on the equipment log were used in the analysis. Efficiency of the equipment due to change of the structure and the probability of the usage in the manufacturing process were examined. The results showed that the modification of the control algorithm in the equipment and the redistribution of the process time for each process and transfer module along to the change in the structure enhance the throughput of the equipment.

Considering the automotive side-frame as an application of tailor welded blanks, the joining part of B-pillar (or center pillar) and roof-rail, or the joining part of B-pillar and side-sill are the issues of its stretch flanging mode. This joining part was simplified to T-shaped section and the forming behavior was discussed. Employing tailored blanks to the T-section, three of the die step locations and two of the blank types were considered, and the results were discussed. Experimental results were compared with the results of the forming simulations using finite element method. Finite element modeling techniques were discussed, and appropriate method for the weld bead modeling was recommended.

This study will investigate advertising image of multinational fashion companies" global brands through contents analysis of advertisements appeared in women"s magazines. Gucci and Burberry, global brands having different brand concepts, were chosen for ad analysis. 32 Advertisements were selected from 24 volumes of Korean Vogue published between 1999 and 2004, from different seasons every year. Advertising expression types, advertising appeals, and advertisement elements were investigated in this study. The results of the analysis can be stated as follows: There was difference between advertising expression types according to brand concepts. Gucci, famous for its eroticism, had a lot of sex appealing expressions and strong visuals. Burberry showed friends and families in their advertisement showing lifestyle. On the other hand, most of these advertisements had no title and text but photographs. It tells us that emotional appeal, emphasizing image, was dominant appeal type in fashion advertisements. There also were differences between advertisement elements. Gucci usually presented two feminine models or two opposite-sex models in unnatural poses in studio to give erotic emotion and provide sexual image. Burberry had many models in luxury background and used props, such as car and pet, to show the nobility and wealth. The conclusion of this paper is that global fashion advertising strategy is necessary to plan a marketing strategy to develop competitive brand image and product positioning.
Sentinel-2 위성영상을 이용한 하계 논벼와 동계작물 재배 필지 분류 및 정확도 평가

Up-to-date statistics of crop cultivation status is essential for farm land management planning and the advancement in remote sensing technology allows for rapid update of farming information. The objective of this study was to develop a classification model of rice paddy or winter crop fields based on NDWI, NDVI, and HSV indices using Sentinel-2 satellite images. The 18 locations in central Korea were selected as target areas and photographed once for each during summer and winter with a eBee drone to identify ground truth crop cultivation. The NDWI was used to classify summer paddy fields, while the NDVI and HSV were used and compared in identification of winter crop cultivation areas. The summer paddy field classification with the criteria of -0.195<NDWI<0.15 was 90.9% accurate on average when compared with ground truth. Model performance for the winter crop field classification was also excellent showing the accuracy greater than 98.2% on average for both models. However, cloud and greenhouses appeared to demonstrate optical similarity with paddy in the NDWI values, implying additional caution should be taken when removing cloud and greenhouse effects. Overall the developed methods for paddy and winter crop classification performed reasonably well at the irrigation district level and further studies are needed to investigate model performance at regional or national scales.

For the LED back-lighted LCD panels with rapid injection-compression molded large optical parts in development, micro pattern transcription ratio of the molded shape to the original design was studied. Prismatic and hemispherical shapes were considered as micro patterns, and the transcription ratios were defined. The brightness uniformity of the whole back-light unit was optically simulated according to the ratio. And, the robustness of the brightness due to the molded micro patterns was predicted.

The purpose of this study is investigating the formability of the laser-tailor welded blanks(TWB). Blank holding pressure(BHP) controllable stamping press was developed for forming of the unsymmetric blanks or TWB, and its performance was verified by square cup deep drawing tests under non-uniform BHP. The uniaxial tensile test of TWB was conducted to evaluate the mechanical properties of weld - seam and the square cup deep drawing test was carried out to study the formability of TWB. In square cup deep drawing, two kinds of specimens, which have central weld line and diagonal weld line respectively, were chosen to consider the influence of weld line location. The specimens with different thickness were tested and the deformed shape and thickness strain distribution were obtained. The control of weld line movement was tried by adapting non-uniform BHP.<br/>

The “Besports” system was developed to create an exercise environment that facilitates individual weight management, rehabilitation, and other fitness goals. Users engage in exercises using strength training equipment with ‘Besports’ measuring devices, that track exercise data such as weight, repetitions, speed, and time through sensing technology. The system includes a mobile application that automatically records the exercise data and provides the personalized real-time coaching service.
