        연구 논문과 연구 발표 도입부의 수사 구조 분석

        This paper reports an analysis of introductions of two related genres, the research article and the conference presentation from a rhetorical perspective. In this paper, 25RAs and 25CPs from Korean language and Korean language education fields are analysed to describe the rhetorical structures. Both the RA and CP introductions have the same communicative purpose to persuade their academic discourse communities and the similar rhetorical movement from the general research context towards the specific goal in order to provide persuasive justification for the work. However, the result of the move analysis of them shows that each genre has markedly different rhetorical structures. RA introductions are objectively and logically structured to capture relevance by an abstracted, calculated persona, while CP introductions are constructed in an interpersonal context to build up a feeling of solidarity with the audience by a real person as a researcher. The result of this study is expected to have implications for the teaching of academic discourse to novice researchers and non-native speakers of Korean.

        학문 목적 학습자를 위한 학술적 텍스트 구성의 수사적 전략 연구

        The purpose of this study is to explore and categorize the rhetorical strategies of text construction in research articles and to provide data for academic writing education for foreign graduate students. This study analyzes 30 research articles by Korean writers from Korean language and Korean language education fields, and categorizes the rhetorical strategies according to the roles of the writer as a RA form composer, a manager of research content, and a communicator. On the basis of the strategies, this study analyzes 18 term papers of foreign graduate students and inspects their weaknesses in using the rhetorical strategies. Based on the results of analysis, this study suggests rhetorical strategy education for KAP learners that emphasizes validity and clarifies argument along with attracting readers.         한국어 글쓰기 수업 및 평가 실태와 교사 인식 조사 - 대학 부설 한국어교육기관을 대상으로 -

        The purpose of this study is to find out the actual conditions of current Korean writing classes and assessments and to show the perception of teachers about Korean writing education in the universities’ Korean language institutes in Korea. Data were collected through questionnaire surveys and analyzed, the subjects were 101 Korean teachers work at 10 university language institutes in Seoul. The findings are as follows. 10 KLIs(Korean Language Institutes) have similar systems and activities in writing classes and assessments and they focus on accuracy rather than organizing or rhetorics in composition. All teachers recognize writing classes and assessments are needed despite the burden of feedback, and they think the important and urgent thing KLIs have to do is to systemize writing classes in curricula. Based on these results, practical studies are required to contribute to systemizing writing curriculum and reinforcing teachers’ expertise of writing education. (Hongik University)

        세종학당의 비즈니스 한국어 교육과정 설계를 위한 요구분석

        In this study, based on the surveys of demanded materials in occupational environments from oversea Korean companies, we performed a fundamental research of designing business Korean curriculums. The surveys were performed to 283 people across Korean lecturers, Korean supervisors, native managers and employees, and prospective employees to Korean companies. The followings were concluded as the result. First, with consideration of operating status for Korean curriculums in each King Sejong Institute, the duration of business Korean curriculums should be 10 or 12 weeks, 2 or 3 classes per week, and 90 or 120 minutes per class. Second, the most popular responses of required minimum Korean level for performing tasks was intermediate. Hence, it is necessary to design curriculums to achieve intermediate in Korean proficiency. Third, Korean skills that were often used in business tasks were listening, speaking, reading, and writing in that order. Hence, the curriculums should put more focuses on listening and speaking. Fourth, business Sejong Korean curriculum steps should be developed so that students can start the classes after finishing the beginning courses. Fifth, while developing syllabus, functions and tasks of business situations should be centered instead of learning vocabularies or grammar.

        세종학당 비즈니스 한국어 교재 개발 연구

        This research presents principles and models for developing textbooks for business Korean to be used at the King Sejong Institutes overseas targeting Korean learners with vocational purposes. The principles of the business textbooks are based on research by Hyunjin Kim et al. (2018) which contains needs analysis and results from analyzing textbooks. The principles were also extracted from investigating previous researches relating to business Korean and characteristics of teaching and learning Korean with vocational purposes. The principles can be summarized to 1) connectivity with general purpose Korean textbooks of “Sejong Korean”, 2) centrality with the users, and 3) improving communication skills for vocations. Additionally, textbooks based on these principles were tested in August and September of 2018 in China and Korea; usefulness of the textbooks were then examined by experts in Korean education. After the process, “Sejong Business Korean 1, 2” each with 18 chapters were written. (Ewha Womans University·Yonsei University·Hongik University·Yonsei University·University of Seoul)

        교환학생을 위한 한국어 수업 설계 방안 - 한국어 수준 편차가 있는 초급 수업 운용 방법을 중심으로 -

        The purpose of this paper is to design the class < Basic Korean > targeting beginner-level exchange students composed of learners with significant deviations in Korean fluency. The eclectic teaching method was applied to educate said learners, and the main learning methods were through flipped learning, journal writing, and project-based learning. Considering the large gaps in Korean fluency between learners as well as the fact that beginner-level classes for exchange students are designed to be short-term in nature, class activities were expanded beyond the limited class time utilizing online and out-of-classroom learning environments, while proceeding with differentiated instruction and collaborative learning. As a result, it was possible to secure a clear learning effect for all learners disregarding their level of fluency, while satisfying the learners’ interest in Korean. This research has significance and value as a field study in that it discovered and critically assessed a problem through previous class experience and prior research, designed a syllabus that effectively addresses the problem, applied it to classroom management, and analyzed its results and areas of improvement.
