Electric ballast is widely used to turn on the fluorescent Electric ballast measure occurrence of harmonic through the actual measurement and it is simulated by modeling equivalent circuit for harmonic analysis. The purpose of this paper is to give an equivalent circuit modeling methodology for the harmonic currents generated by single-phase personal computer loads to evaluate a commercially available series resonant filter for the harmonic currents compensation based on the IEC std 61000-3-2 and IEEE 519 standards for limiting harmonic distortion.

An instrumented loop of stainless steel in which molten chloride salt is transported has been constructed and operated. The purposes of operating the molten salt handling system are to investigate the feasibility of transporting liquid salt with a pressurizing cylinder and vacuum pump, to test the equipment and various instruments, and to determine whose method for the transporting liquid salt is suitable for the engineering scale. The principal components of the loop include a high temperature valve, vessel with furnace, microwave level indicator and an orifice flow meter. The high temperature valve is a commercially available, needle valve. The orifice flowmeter and the microwave level indicator are also a commercial item. Most of the connections in the loop are welded. A material test is conducted to evaluate the suitability of various materials of construction for process applications. Such items as transport lines, vessel, and associated equipment are included. Corrosion rates of various materials are obtained.
