        갑상선 유두암에 있어서 Delphian 림프절의 의의

        Purpose: The Delphian lymph node (DLN) has long beenregarded as a predictor of thyroid malignancy and indicator of advanced disease; however, there are a few published data in relation to the thyroid. Therefore we are to determine the significance of DLN involvement in differentiated papillary carcinoma. Methods: We prospectively assessed the discovering rate of DLN and the frequency of DLN metastasis in the consecutive patients undergoing total thyroidectomy with central neck node dissection at Endocrine Surgery Department of our hospital. And we assessed whether DLN involvement may predict extensive cervical lymph node disease and other unfavorable prognostic factors. Results: The DLN was separately removed and identified as such in 42 of 164 patients (25.6%), and 9 of 42 patients (21.4%) had DLN metastases. DLN involvement was not associated with larger tumor size (1.8 vs. 1.1 cm), age (41 vs. 46 years), perithyroidal tissue invasion (66.6 vs. 72.7%) and lymphovascular invasion. DLN involvement was highly predictive of central compartment metastasis (sensitivity 100%, specificity 41%), high proportion of metastatic nodes, and moderately suggestive of further disease in the lateral compartment (sensitivity 44%, specificity 92%). Conclusion: Although the clinical appearance of the DLN is not an accurate indicator of the presence of thyroid cancer, metastatic involvement of the DLN is an adverse prognostic marker in papillary thyroid cancer. The presence of DLN metastasis in patients with thyroid cancer should alert the surgeon to the high probability of advanced disease and need for paying greater attention to the central and lateral compartment lymph nodes.         The management of mandibular prognathism and retrognathism was revoluted by the advent of the technique of bilateral sagittal split ramus osteotomy(BSSRO) as described by Obwegeser and Trauner in 1957. The BSSRO of the mandible has been used for nearly 50 years and has undergone numerous modifications and improvements. Most patients, treated by this surgical operation, express their satisfaction with improved facial esthetics, masticatory function and others. But several complications associated with BSSRO may appear. Especially among them, facial nerve palsy following BSSRO is rare but serious problem. We treated for facial nerve palsy following BSSRO by physical therapy, steroid therapy and surgical intervention and then the result was favorable. Therefore we would like to report a case about a patient with facial nerve palsy after BSSRO with a review of the literatures.

        3차원 실장용 TSV 고속 Cu 충전 및 Non-PR 범핑

        TSV(through-silicon-via)를 이용한 3차원 Si 칩 패키징 공정 중 전기 도금을 이용한 비아 홀 내 Cu 고속 충전과 범핑 공정 단순화에 관하여 연구하였다. DRIE(deep reactive ion etching)법을 이용하여 TSV를 제조하였으며, 비아홀 내벽에 $SiO_2$, Ti 및 Au 기능 박막층을 형성하였다. 전도성 금속 충전에서는 비아 홀 내 Cu 충전율을 향상시키기 위하여 PPR(periodic-pulse-reverse) 전류 파형을 인가하였으며, 범프 형성 공정에서는 리소그라피(lithography) 공정을 사용하지 않는 non-PR 범핑법으로 Sn-3.5Ag 범프를 형성하였다. 전기 도금 후, 충전된 비아의 단면 및 범프의 외형을 FESEM(field emission scanning electron microscopy)으로 관찰하였다. 그 결과, Cu 충전에서는 -9.66 $mA/cm^2$의 전류밀도에서 60분간의 도금으로 비아 입구의 도금층 과성장에 의한 결함이 발생하였고, -7.71 $mA/cm^2$에서는 비아의 중간 부분에서의 도금층 과성장에 의한 결함이 발생하였다. 또한 결함이 생성된 Cu 충전물 위에 전기 도금을 이용하여 범프를 형성한 결과, 범프의 모양이 불규칙하고, 균일도가 감소함을 나타내었다. High-speed Cu filling into a through-silicon-via (TSV) and simplification of bumping process by electroplating for three dimensional stacking of Si dice were investigated. The TSV was prepared on a Si wafer by deep reactive ion etching, and $SiO_2$, Ti and Au layers were coated as functional layers on the via wall. In order to increase the filling rate of Cu into the via, a periodic-pulse-reverse wave current was applied to the Si chip during electroplating. In the bumping process, Sn-3.5Ag bumping was performed on the Cu plugs without lithography process. After electroplating, the cross sections of the vias and appearance of the bumps were observed by using a field emission scanning electron microscope. As a result, voids in the Cu-plugs were produced by via blocking around via opening and at the middle of the via when the vias were plated for 60 min at -9.66 $mA/cm^2$ and -7.71 $mA/cm^2$, respectively. The Cu plug with a void or a defect led to the production of imperfect Sn-Ag bump which was formed on the Cu-plug.

        Brazing technology has been widely used among bonding technologies because it enables to bond various metals, even ceramics, dissimilar metals, and give higher bonding strength, cost down, automation, etc. However, there are many parameters to achieve optimal brazing joint such as brazing alloys, brazing atmospheres, designs and brazing methods, etc. The brazing parameters affect seriously on the characteristic of final brazing products. Stainless steel is broadly used in high temperature applications, chemical industry, heat exchangers, muffler of vehicles, and so on. Accordingly, in this article, brazing alloys, forms of brazing alloys, brazing methods and atmospheres for stainless steel were described.

      • 북극해 안전운항 지원시스템 구축을 위한 기능적 요구조건 도출

        지구 온난화로 인한 북극해 해빙의 감소로 새로운 항로의 개척과 지하자원 개발에 대한 국제적 관심이 고조되고 있다. 국제해사기구(IMO)는 북극해를 이용하는 선박의 증가로 해양사고와 오염의 가능성이 증대됨에 따라, 폴라코드(Polar Code)를 제정하여 극지역운항매뉴얼(PWOM) 등 북극해 운항선박에 대한 기준요건의 강제화 준비를 진행 중이다. 북극해를 운항하는 선박은 해양기상 이외에도 해빙의 영향을 받으므로 안전하고 경제적인 항로를 지원해 줄 북극해 안전운항 지원시스템이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 국제해사기구 폴라코드에 대응하기 위해 북극해 안전운항 지원시스템 개발을 위한 기능적 요구조건을 도출하였다. IMO 폴라코드를 기반으로 도출된 북극해 안전운항 지원시스템의 기능적 요건은 북극해 운항선박에게 해빙관측 및 예측정보를 이용하여 경제적이고 안전한 항로를 동적으로 서비스할 수 있도록 도출되었고, 북극해 항행위험지도 생성 기법, 북극해 항해계획 기법, 해사안전정보(MSI) 생성기법을 개발하기 위한 기술적 요건으로 구성된다. 또한, 북극해 안전운항 지원시스템의 적용을 위한 요구조건을 도출하여 개발될 시스템이 IMO 폴라코드의 북극해 항행선박 인증절차에 적용하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 연구성과를 폴라코드에 반영하기 위해서는 해빙관측 및 예측기술의 개발과 함께, 지속적인 국제적인 교류 및 정책 제안 등이 계속되어야 할 것이다. International attention on the Northern Sea Route has been increased as the decreased sea-ice extents in Northern Sea raise the possibility to develop new sea routes and natural resources. However, to protect ships' safety and pristine environments in polar waters, International Maritime Organization(IMO) has been developing the Polar Code to regulate polar shipping. The marine navigation supporting system is essential for ships traveling long distance in the Northern Sea as they are affected by ocean weather and sea-ice. Therefore, to cope with the IMO Polar Code, this research proposes the functional requirements to develop the marine navigation supporting system for the Northern Sea Route. The functional requirements derived from the IMO Polar code consist of arctic voyage risk map, arctic voyage planning and MSI(Marine Safety Information) methods, based on which the navigation supporting system is able to provide dynamic and safe-economical sea route service using the sea-ice observation and prediction technologies. Also, a requirement of the system application is derived to apply the marine navigation supporting system for authorizing ships operating in the Northern Sea. To reflect the proposed system in the Polar Code, continual international exchange and policy proposals are necessary along with the development of sea-ice observation and prediction technologies.

      • 포인트와 라인 세그먼트의 해석적 에러 검증을 위한 확률기반 시뮬레이션 모델에 관한 연구

        Analytical and simulation error models have the ability to describe (or realize) error-corrupted versions of spatial data. But the different approaches for modeling positional errors require an internal validation that ascertains whether the analytical and simulation error models predict correct positional errors in a defined set of conditions. This paper presents stochastic simulation models of a point and a line segm ent to be validated w ith analytical error models, which are an error ellipse and an error band model, respectively. The simulation error models populate positional errors by the Monte Carlo simulation, according to an assumed error distribution prescribed by given parameters of a variance-covariance matrix. In the validation process, a set of positional errors by the simulation models is compared to a theoretical description by the analytical error models. Results show that the proposed simulation models realize positional uncertainties of the same spatial data according to a defined level of positional quality. 해석적 또는 시뮬레이션 오차 모델은 공간 데이터가 가지는 위치오차의 분포를 설명 하는데 유용하다. 그러나 두 오차 모델은 위치오차를 모델링을 하기위하여 다른 접근 방법을 이용하므로 정의된 조건 내에서 올바른 위치오차를 예측 하는지 확인하는 내적 검증을 필요로 한다. 이에 본 논문은 오차타원과 에러밴드 모델을 이용하여 제시한 포인트와 라인 세그먼트 시뮬레이션 오차 모델을 내부적으로 검증하는 방법을 제안하였다. 시뮬레이션 오차 모델은 분산-공분산 행렬(variance-covariance matrix)의 변수에 의해 규정된 확률분포에 따라 몬테카를로 시뮬레이션을 이용하여 위치오차들을 생성한다. 검증절차에서는 시뮬레이션 모델에 의한 위치오차의 집합을 해석적 오차 모델에 의한 이론적 위치오차와 비교하였다. 결과적으로 제안된 시뮬레이션 오차 모델은 정의된 위치오차에 따라 동일한 공간 데이터의 위치적 불확실성을 실현함을 확인할 수 있었다.

        Brazing of a stainless steel was described in this article. Brazing is a joining technology without melting a substrate and joining temperature is higher than $450^{\circ}C$. Brazing can be broadly applicable across industries. In particular, brazing of stainless steel is widely used in aircraft parts, car engines, heat exchangers, etc. due to its excellent strength, corrosion resistance and other suitable characteristics. Characteristics of the stainless steel depend on their classification like austenitic, ferritic and martensitic stainless steels. In addition, there are many processes in brazing and various parameters such as brazing heat source, filler metals, joint design, etc. Therefore, it is necessary to know basic knowledge about brazing to achieve good brazing joint. Accordingly, properties of stainless steel and design of brazing joint and related process were described in this article.

        소매점 공급사슬에서 공급자주도 재고/분배 문제를 위한 발견적 해법

        As to more efficiently manage the inventory in the retail supply chain and to meet the customer demand in a timely manner, vendor-managed inventory (VMI) has been widely accepted, which manages inventory in the retail supply chain via sharing information and collaborating with the retailers. Applying VMI generates vendor-managed inventory/distribution problem (VMIDP), which involves inventory management for both the vendor and the retailers, and the design of vehicle routes for delivery, to minimize the total operating cost in the supply chain. In this paper, we suggest a mixed integer programming (MIP) model to obtain the optimal solution for VMIDP in a two-echelon retail supply chain, and develop an efficient heuristic based on the operating principles of the MIP model. To evaluate the performance of the heuristic, its solution was compared with the one of the MIP model on a total of twenty seven test problems. As a result, the heuristic found optimal solutions on seven problems in a significantly reduced time, and generated a 4.3% error rate of total cost in average for all problems. The heuristic is applied to the case problem of the local famous franchise company together with GIS, showing that it is capable of providing a solution efficiently in a relatively short time even in the real world situations.
