        사상자 추출물의 자돈 병원성 대장균 억제 효과

        The antibiotic chemotherapy produces sometimes side effects and fails to eliminate bacterial infection. The occurrence of strains resistant to antibiotics would be expected to increase, and it is nowadays important to search for non-antibiotic substances. We are aimed to evaluate the effects of Torilis fructus extracts against enteropathogenic Escherichia coli (E. coli) in Piglets. The piglets were divided with three groups; Negative control group, E. coli-infected positive control group, and the Torilis fructus extracts treated group with E. coli infection. During the study period, we compared clinical signs, weight increase rate, fecal scores, gross findings between the treated group and non treated group. After necropsy, necropsy findings and histopathological findings were conducted with the comparison between the groups. As the results of this study, the Torilis fructus extracts additive showed the effects on the suppression of E. coli-induced lesions. On the basis of this study results, our data suggest that the Torilis fructus extracts additive have the antimicrobial effects. The Torilis fructus extracts additive could be used as the alternative material for antimicrobial feed additives.

        토양미생물 복원제를 이용한 유류로 오염된 토양의 복원

        유류로 오염된 토양을 토양미생물 복원제를 첨가한 후 다양한 조건에서20일 동안의 유류저감효과를 알아보았다. 실험 조건은 유류로만 오염된 토양(DS), 토양미생물 복원제를 20%(w/w)가 되도록 첨가한 유류로 오염된 토양(DSP), 토양미생물 복원제를 넣은 후 pH를 중성으로 보정한 유류로 오염된 토양(DSP-1), 토양미생물 복원제와 촉진제를 넣은 유류로 오염된 토양(DSP-2), 토양미생물 복원제와 촉진제를 넣은 후 pH를 중성으로 보정한 유류로 오염된 토양(DSP-3)을 설정하였다. 실험 결과 pH를 보정한 토양미생물 복원제를 첨가한 유류오염토양은 탈수소 효소 활성과 TPH 저감에서의 효능이 우수하였다. 실험이10일 경과되었을 때 탈수소 효소활성이 가장 높은 DSP-1 토양이 TPH 역시 가장 활발히 분해했다. 결과적으로 초기 10일의 배양기간 동안 토양미생물 복원제를 첨가한 토양은 대조군에 비해 38% 가량의 TPH 저감상승효과를 볼 수 있다. 토양미생물 복원제의 첨가를 통해 초기 저감속도를 올려줄 수 있으며, 최종적으로도 비 첨가군에 비해 높은 저감효율을 기대할 수 있다. 토양미생물 복원제를 유류오염토양을 복원한다면 초기 오염물질을 빠르게 처리할 수 있지만 미생물 활성은 pH, 온도 등 환경 인자에 많은 영향을 받으므로 토양미생물 복원제의 효율을 최대화하기 위해서는 환경 인자를 분석하여 이를 바탕으로 복원을 진행한다면 오염물질 정화 효율을 향상시킬 수 있을 것이다. Oil pollution is a world-wide and prevalent treat to the environment. Physic-chemical remediation technology, used with total petroleum hydrocarbon (TPH) contaminated soil, has proven to be very slow and uneconomic. Bioremediation of contaminated soil has been seen to be a more efficient method where the concentrations of oil are moderate and non-biological techniques are not economical. The aim of this research was to investigate the influence of additives on TPH degradation in a diesel contaminated soil environment. Six experimental conditions were conduced; (i) diesel contaminated soil, (ii) diesel contaminated soil treated with microbial additives, (iii) diesel contaminated soil treated with microbial additives where the mixture was titrated to an end point of pH 7 with NaOH, (iv) diesel contaminated soil treated with microbial additives and accelerating agents, and (v) diesel contaminated soil treated with microbial additives and accelerating agents where the mixture was titrated to an end point of pH 7 with NaOH. After 10 days, significant TPH degradation (67%) was observed in the DSP-1 (v) soil sample. The removal of TPH, in the soil sample where microbial additives were supplemented, was 38% higher than the control soil sample during the first ten days. The microbial additives were effective for both the initial removal rate and the relative removal efficiency of TPH when compared with the control group. However, various environmental factors, such as pH and temperature, also affected the activities of microbes living in the additives, so pH calibration of oil-contaminated soil would help the initial reduction efficiency in the early stages.

        건강신념모형을 적용한 치과의원급 치과위생사의 감염관리 수행도 관련요인

        Objectives : The purpose of this study was to investigate the association factors of infection control practice based on health belief model in the dental hygienists in dental clinics. Methods : A self-reported questionnaire was filled out by 278 dental hygienists in 160 dental clinics in Gwangju by a proportional stratified sampling method from September 13 to October 7, 2013. Data were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis using SPSS version 12.0. Results : In multiple regression analysis, practice scores were significantly higher in aged dental hygienists and those who took infectious disease history from the patients before treatment. With regard to health belief model, perceived barrier was negatively associated with the practice(β=-.16, p<.001), importance of infection control in hand hygiene(β=.14, p=.026), and use of personal protective equipment(β=.17, p=.043). The intention of action was positively associated with the practice(β=.13, p=.002). Conclusions : This study will provide the basic evidence for the quality improvement of infection control and prevention. So the dental hygienists will be able to put into practice in infection control management.

        습지에서 분리한 질소고정 세균인 Mycobacterium hominis sp. AKC-10의 특성

        Nitrogen is an element need to grow plants growth. Plants take up nitrogen in the form of nitrate or ammonium. Most of plants absorb nitrogen source as fertilizers. But from 50 to 70% of fertilizers applied were washed away. This study was conducted to isolate free-living nitrogen fixing bacteria from reed and to examine its beneficial traits for developing sustainable biofertilizers. Enriched consortium obtained from a reed in Ansan was developed for the fixing of nitrogen. Nitrogen fixing bacteria isolated from an enriched culture in Congo Red Medium was analyzed by 16s rDNA sequencing. AKC-10 was isolated and shown to have excellent nitrogen fixing ability. The optimum conditions of nitrogen fixing ability were 25oC (237.50±39.65 nmole · mg-protein-1·h-1 and pH 7 (168.335±12.84 nmole/hr mg-protein). It was identified as Microbacterium hominis [(AKC-10 (similarity : 99%)]. This strain was had to IAA (indole-3-acetic acid) productivity and ACC(1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid) deaminase activity. Therefore, Microbacterium hominis AKC-10 stimulated plant development in the soil, enhancing the efficiency of remediation.

        Dental Fear Survey 척도를 이용한 여대생의 치과치료 공포감 관련요인 분석

        Objectives: The purpose of this study was to measure the fear of dental care and analyze the related factors between reliability for members in dental office and fear of dental care, dental office. Methods: Located in Gwangju, 260 college women who had dental experience in the past year were surveyed. SPSS windows ver. 11.0 by demographic characteristics and oral health characteristics of the frequency and percentage, and related factors in the fear of dental care and the reliability about dental health care workers of one way ANOVA, Tukey test for Post-Hoc test. and were factors associated with dental fear of the stepwise multiple regression analysis was performed. Results: The fear will be higher when subjective oral health status is considered lower, the reliability of dental health care workers is lower(p<0.05). Evasion and overall fear, overall fear and stimulations of dental care, stimulations of dental care and overall feeling were related(p<0.05). Conclusions: The reliability of dental health care workers is lower and subjective oral health status is considered lower, the fear of dental care increase and everage number of brushing has increased, the fear of dental care decrease.

        일부 고등학생의 치과치료 공포감에 대한 관련요인분석

        Objectives : High school students to measure fear of dental treatment, dental health care workers according to the level of reliability of this study is to determine the extent of terror was carried out. Methods : Located in Gwangju, 165 high school students were surveyed. SPSS windows ver. 11.0 by demographic characteristics and oral health characteristics of the frequency and percentage, and dental health care workers about the reliability of the Chi-square test, the general characteristics and oral health characteristics by dental fear of the t-test and one way ANOVA and were factors associated with dental fear of the stepwise multiple regression analysis was performed. General characteristics, except Cronbach- α coefficient was 0.911. Results : According the general fear of Dental Treatment Fear Factor item 4, you`ll feel the highest fear when you feel the muscle tension and the needle pricks your skin. The reliability of dental health care workers if the dentist lower the higher the grade, subjective oral health status is considered more reliable health was higher, the stronger the reliability of pain was significantly lower (p <0.05). Other care coordination include the reliability of sources of interest in subjective oral health history, no past experience in treating pain and increase the number of reliability was low (p <0.05), past experience and increase the number of pain during treatment the stronger the fear of more pain showed an increase (p<0.05). Conclusion : According the related factors about the fear of dental treatment, stimulus-response and fear of dental office have increased, the fear of dental treatment increase.(J Korean Soc Dent Hyg 2012;12(4):741-749)

        동결건조 보호제와 기질이 동결건조된 Bacillus sp. SH1RP8의 생존율에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 식물성장촉진 근권세균인 Bacillus sp. SH1RP8 를 친환경 생물비료로 이용하기 위하여 수행되었다. SH1RP8 균주를 동결건조시 세포의 용혈을 방지하도록 여러 가지 동결건조 보호제를 첨가하여 균주의 성장과 활성에 미치는 영향을 알아보았다. SH1RP8 균주의 동결건조 시 동결건조 보호제로 skim milk, glucose, peptone 등을 이용하였을 때, 그중 5%의 skim milk를 첨가하였을 때 가장 높은 (30.6%)의 생존율을 보였다. 또한, 균주의 성장을 촉진하는 기질 그룹을 첨가하여 5%의 skim milk 단독으로 첨가한 경우와 기질 그룹을 각각 첨가한 경우의 동결건조 보호 효과를 비교하여 보았다. 그 결과 5% skim milk에 glycerol을 동시에 첨가할 경우 균주의 생존율이 skim milk 단독 첨가효과와 비교 시214.29%의 향상율을 보여주었다. 또한 동결건조된 Bacillus sp. SH1RP8 은 매우 효과적인 PGPR로 활성을 보여주어 생물비료로서의 훌륭한 기능이 기대된다. In order to develop an eco-friendly biofertilizer, a plant growth promoting rhizobacterium (PGPR), Bacillus sp., SH1RP8 was investigated. SH1RP8 was lyophilized via freeze-drying along with other protective agents that protect cells from lysis. The freezedried powder of Bacillus sp. SH1RP8, containing 5% skim milk (w/v), exhibited the highest survival rate of 30.6% among all the protective agents (skim milk, glucose, and peptone). The lyoprotective effect of the skim milk, mixture including 5% skim milk, and substrates on the survival of the test strain was examined. Control group was added only skim milk and test groups were added skim milk and other substrates. As a result, the group supplemented with both glycerol and 5% skim milk showed the protective effect much higher by 214.29% than the control group. Freeze-dried Bacillus sp. SH1RP8 could be a good candidate as a potential biofertilizer due to its effective PGPR activity.
