        불임시술의 합병증에 관한 역학적 연구

        Intending to offer basic information for a prospective health services in Korea, this study is to investigate the complication caused by sterilization in goverment family planning program from 1962 to 1995. The results are as follows: 1. Total number of sterilization performed during the period from 1962 to 1995 were 1.367,772 cases of male sterilization and 2,889,635 cases of female sterilization. 2. Incidence of the complication caused by sterilization operation from 1980 to 1995 were 1,883(0.20%) out of 925,801 cases in vasectomies and 15,866(0.70%) out of 2,256,020 cases in tubal sterilizations. 3. Major complications in vasectomy were epididymities of 658 cases (34.9%), vas recanalization of 326 cases(17.3%), hematoma of 266 cases(14.1%), scrotal abscess of 184 cases(9.8%), sperm granuloma of 76 cases(4.0%),and other of 373 cases(19.8%). On the other hand, in tubal sterilization, ectopic pregnancy was the most significant complication of 15,078 cases (95.0%) among 15,866 total complications, followed by pelvic inflammatory diseases of 155 cases(0.9%), peritonities of 96 cases(0.6%), ovarian & tubal bleeding of 31 cases(0.2%), intestinal perforation of 16 cases (0.1%), uterine bleeding of 14 cases(0.1%), uterine cervix laceration of 1 case (0.1%), and other of 271 cases(1.7%), while 161 pregnancies(0.1%) were terminated and 43 cases(0.3%) with normal delivery. 4. The occurrence rate of the complication for each period showed that most of the complication cases by vasectomy occurred in a year after the operation -the cases were 1,256 (66.7%). 254 cases(13.5%) occurred between the next year and the 2nd year, 138 cases (7.3%) between the 2nd year and the 3rd year, 73 cases(3.9%) between the 3rd year and the 4th year, 52 cases(2.8%) between the 4th year and the 5th year, 31 cases(1.6%) between the 5th year and the 6th year, 79 cases(4.2%) over the 6th year. Tubal sterilization indicated that the occurred complication cases in a year were 2,175 cases(13.7%), 2,113 cases(13.3%) occurred between the next year and the 2nd year, 2,082 cases(13.1%) between the 2nd year and the 3rd year, 2,049 cases (12. 9%) between the 3rd year and the 4th year, 1,819 cases(11.5%) between the 4th year and the 5th year, 621 cases(10.2%) between the 5th year and the 6th year, 4,007 cases(25.3%) over the 6th year. 5. For the cost of complication treatment, total \7,928,229,000 were paid as medical expenditure in which \609,438,000 for vasectomy and \7,318,791,000 for tubal sterilization. Accordingly per capita expenses were \345,000 for vasectomy and \467,000 for tubal sterilization. As the proportion of government sterilization program was decreased after 1988, that of private sterilization program would be increased. So it is recommended to set a guideline for the private sterilization program and to continue government sterilization program for the lower class.

        구리도금된 탄소섬유/에폭시 수지 복합재료의 기계적 계면 특성에 관한 연구

        본 연구에서는 Polyacrylonitrile (PAN)계 탄소섬유 표면에 구리도금 표면처리가 탄소섬유 강화 복합재료의 기계적 계 면 특성에 미치는 영향에 관하여 관찰하였다. 탄소섬유 표면특성은 주사전자현미경, X-선 광전자 분광법, X-선 회절 분석기, 접촉각 측정기로 측정하였고, 탄소섬유 강화 복합재료의 기계적 계면 물성은 층간전단강도(interlaminar shear strength, ILSS)와 파괴인성(critical stress intensity factor, KIC)측정을 통하여 알아보았다. 실험결과로부터, 기계적 계면 물성은 탄소섬유 표면에 COOH group과 도금된 구리함량이 증가됨에 따라 순차적으로 증가되는 것이 확인되었으나, 도금시간을 길게 하여 과량의 구리가 도입되었을 경우 기계적 계면 물성을 도리어 감소시키는 것으로 확인되었다. 결론적으로 구리함량이 탄소섬유 복합재료의 기계적 계면물성을 결정하는 중요 요소라 판단되나, 최적의 함량이상에 서는 계면분리에 의한 물성저하의 원인이 될 수 있다. In this work, the electroplating of copper was introduced on PAN-based carbon fibers for the enhancement of mechanical interfacial strength of carbon fibers-reinforced composites. The surface properties of carbon fibers were determined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and contact angle measurements. Its mechanical interfacial properties of the composites were studied by interlaminar shear strength (ILSS) and critical stress intensity factor (KIC). From the results, it was found that the mechanical interfacial properties of Cu-plated carbon fibers-reinforced composites (Cu-CFRPs) enhanced with increasing the Cu plating time, Cu content and COOH group up to Cu-CFRP-30. However, the mechanical interfacial properties of the Cu-CFRPs decreased dramatically in the excessively Cu-plated CFRPs sample. In conclusion, the presence of Cu particles on carbon fiber surfaces can be a key factor to determine the mechanical interfacial properties of the Cu-CFRPs, but the excessive Cu content can lead the failure due to the interfacial separation between fibers and matrices in this system.

        인간 CD4+ T 임파구의 활성도와 증식에 대한 노화의 영향

        Objective: Alterations in the immune system occur with aging, and these contribute to an increased risk of infection and malignancy. The age-associated changes in T cell immunity range from single cell function to the maintenance of cell populations. We investigated the kinetics of CD4+ T cell activation and proliferation in young and elderly subjects after stimulating their peripheral blood mononuclear cells with anti-CD3 and anti-CD28 antibodies (Abs). Methods: The expressions of the activation markers CD69, CD40L and CD25 on the CD4+ T cells from young (n=14) and elderly (n=19) were analyzed at 6, 24 and 48 hours (hrs) of T cell receptor (TCR) stimulation by using flow cytometry. In the same individuals, the CD4+ T cell proliferation was determined at 48 and 96 hrs of TCR stimulation by using the CFSE dilution method. Results: The elderly had decreased CD69 and CD40L expressions on the CD4+ T cells at 6 hrs of stimulation, as compared to that of the young patients. The elderly also had a decreased CD25 expression on the CD4+ T cells at 24 hrs of stimulation. However, the two groups had similar levels of the CD25, CD69 and CD40L expressions at 48 hrs of stimulation. The elderly had decreased CD4+ T cell proliferation at 96 hrs of stimulation, as compared to that of the young, although both groups had similar levels of CD4+ T cell proliferation at 48 hrs of stimulation. Conclusion: Our findings suggest that the elderly have altered kinetics of CD4+ T cell activation and proliferation in response to anti-CD3 and -CD28 Ab stimulation, and that such an altered response is governed by the duration of stimulation.

        국내 암환자를 대상으로 한 간호중재 연구현황 및 분석

        Purpose: In this study, the articles which developed and applied nursing interventions for patients with cancer were reviewed and analyzed. Methods: The analysis was performed in light of 171 pieces of literature on nursing interventions for patients with cancer published between 1991 and 2010. Results: Approximately half of the studies have been published between 2006 and 2010. The quasiexperimental designs using nonequivalent control group and no-synchronized design were the most common form of research design among the 71 papers constituting 41.52% of the total. The most commonly used nursing intervention was education (25.2%), followed by massage (20.4%) and exercise (11.5%). The most common outcome variable was anxiety (11.8%), followed by pain (8.0%) and nausea and vomiting (7.3%). Conclusion: The results of this study can provide useful information for the development of nursing interventions in specialized areas. Systematic literature review or meta-analysis is needed in this area.

        인천 지역 여대생의 체질량 지수와 체형 인식에 따른 식행동 및 영양소 섭취 상태 분석

        The purpose of this research was to study food behaviors and nutrient intakes according to body mass index(BMI) and body image recognition in 211 female university students in Incheon. The majority of the surveyed subjects were in the normal range for BMI. Most of these female university students preferred a thin body type and were not satisfied with their body shapes. Most also controlled their body weight for appearance by exercising and limiting food intake. The obese group often ate processed foods(p<0.01) and ate out(p<0.05). The underweight group and normal-weight group took vitamins and supplements more frequently(p<0.001). Those students who recognized their body image as a ``fat shape`` had good appetites(p<0.05) and those who recognized themselves as ``normal shape`` considered food formulations ate every meal (p<0.05) and consumed vitamins and other supplements frequently(p<0.01). The mean calorie intake of all students was about 80% of the recommend amount, so there was a risk of lack of various nutrients. The ``fat`` students by body image recognition had lower calorie intakes in order to reduce body weight. In all the groups, there was a lack of vitamins B1 and B2, as well as the minerals Ca and Fe. Therefore, education on correct body image recognition and training on proper weight control are deemed necessary. In addition, education and counseling on nutrition that are tailored to individual status are needed.

        무전해 니켈도금된 탄소섬유강화 에폭시기지 복합재료의 전자파 차폐특성

        본 연구에서는 니켈 함량에 탄소섬유강화 에폭시 기지 복합재료의 전자파 차폐효과에 대해 고찰을 위해 탄소섬유 표면에 시간의 변수에 따른 무전해 도금을 실시하였다. 탄소섬유 표면의 특성은 주사전자현미경과 X-선광전자분광법으로 측정하였고 전기적 특성은 4단자법으로 분석을 진행하였다. 복합재료의 전자파 차폐효과는 흡수와 반사 두 가지 방법으로 분석을 진행하였다. 실험 결과로부터 전자파 차폐효과는 탄소섬유 표면에 코팅된 니켈 함량이 증가됨에 따라 순차적으로 증가되는 것이 확인되었으나, 고주파 영역에서는 과량의 니켈 도금이 더 이상의 전자파 차폐효율을 증가시키지 않는 것이 확인되었다. 결론적으로 니켈 함량이 탄소섬유 복합재료의 전자파 차폐효과를 결정하는 요소가 될 수 있다고 판단되나, 특정 주파수마다 최적화된 금속도입 함량에 대한 변수가 있을 수 있다고 판단된다. In this work, carbon fibers were electrolessly Ni-plated in order to investigate the effect of metal plating on the electromagnetic shielding effectiveness (EMI-SE) of Ni-coated carbon fibers-reinforced epoxy matrix composites. The surfaces of carbon fibers were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Electric resistance of the composites was tested using a 4-point-probe electric resistivity tester. The EMI-SE of the composites was evaluated by means of the reflection and adsorption methods. From the results, it was found that the EMI-SE of the composites enhanced with increasing Ni plating time and content. In high frequency region, the EMI-SE didn`t show further increasing with high Ni content (Ni-CF 10 min) compared to the Ni-CF 5 min sample. In conclusion, Ni content on the carbon fibers can be a key factor to determine the EMI-SE of the composites, but there can be an optimized metal content at a specific electromagnetic frequency region in this system.

        국내 뇌졸중 환자를 대상으로 한 간호중재 연구현황 및 분석

        This study was conducted to provide background information on nursing interventions to further enhance the quality of nursing practice and related professions, based on those performed for stroke patients. Methods: The analysis was performed in light of 84 researches papers on nursing intervention published between 1990 and 2010, and based on NIC(Nursing Interventions Classification) and NOC(Nursing Outcomes Classification). Results: 1. The quasi-experimental design was used as the most primary form of research design across 69 papers that constitute 82% of the total. 2. The number of nursing intervention methods identified throughout 84 research papers was 144. Based on the NIC that 90(62.5%) of those interventions fell into the physiological basic domain while 53(36.8%) belonged to the behavioral domain. 2) Interventions on activity and exercise management, physical comfort promotion, patient education conducted by class level of NIC were 40(27.78%), 34(23.61%), and 31(21.53%) respectively. 3) Outcomes of mobility, psychological well-being, energy maintenance, health & life quality measured by class of NOC among 317 dependent variables 79(24.92%), 64(20.19%), and 63(19.87%) respectively. Conclusion: Most interventions were classified as belonging to few particular domain types, which triggers needs for the development and application of multidisciplinary intervention methods through a more collective approach.
