This study is a deformation analysis by welding heat imposed on assembly of excavator rotation part body. The heat transfer analysis is performed in order to obtain the temperature distribution data which were used in thermal analysis. The thermal stress analysis is performed to verify stability of the excavator rotation part body. The finite element analysis for 3D model is performed by ABAQUS/Standard and heat transfer analysis is performed by STAR-CD V3.22. So, analyze thermal displacement according to finite element analysis result and present in part design.

The excavator travel on off-road and on-road. So traveling motor's gear carrier must be more stiffness and lightweight. In this study we performed FEA(Finite Element Analysis) for the traveling motor's gear carrier and performed topology optimization base on the results of FEA. We performed topology optimization with the control of the shape size which is the results of topology optimization and suggested the shaped of the excavator traveling motor's gear carrier of topology optimization.
