This study investigates spalling appearance and residual compressive strength after examination of fundamental properties on the concrete and fire test to prevent spalling of the concrete. Test results showed that fluidity, air content, and compressive strength are excellent in the case that polyethylene Polyvinyl Acetate and polyvinyl alcohol fiber was mixed. After fire test, it is analyzed that using polyvinyl alcohol fiber is effective considering spalling property.

복합 유기섬유 혼입율 변화에 따른 고성능 콘크리트의 폭렬방지

This study analyzed fire-resistant stability of high performance concrete according to the change of hybrid organic fiber. Firstly, from the flowing characteristics of the fresh concrete, all mixing conditions satisfied target range, the fluidity due to the increase of fiber was lowered to 20%, air content generally had no variation as the hybrid organic fiber contents is increased. From the characteristic of hardened concrete, the compressive strength showed the different tendencies, respectively according to fiber contents, in case of mixing with PP 0.025%, it was appeared to be increased by about 6.5% than plain. From the fire-resistant characteristic, it was over 0.1% in case of using PP alone and over 0.075% in case of using NY alone. But, in case of PP+NY, if it was over 0.05(0.025+0.025)%, spalling was appeared to be prevented, the smallest mass loss rate was appeared and the residual compressive strength rate also was appeared to be most excellent. Synthetically, considering the characteristic of the fresh concrete the mechanical characteristic and further the economical efficiency, the case of PP 0.025%+NY0.025% mixing is judged as the most efficient spalling prevention engineering method of high performance concrete.

This research analyzed the heat resistant characteristics of high strength concrete by varied thicknesses of CFT steel plate for 300×300×600 mm RC column member, and has shown the following results. As for the characteristics of unhardened concrete, the air amount and slump flow did not show any difference whether fiber is mixed, however both were shown to satisfy the target range. On the characteristics of hardened concrete, the compression strength by the ages, which is over 83.9 MPa, showed high strength range, and the case where NY+PP(0.05) fiber is mixed in showed a tendency to increase minutely compared to plane where fiber is not mixed in. As for heat resistant characteristics, the cases of 3.0 mm, 4.5 mm and 6.0 mm CFT thicknesses where fiber is not mixed in showed slight improvement of heat resistance as steel plate became thicker, but showed fracture phenomenon, and 6.0 mm thickness CFT where NY+PP(0.05) fiber is mixed in maintained the original look of test body, implying sound condition, which in turn signifies the importance of organic fiber mix-in in CFT structure as well. At this time, main bar highest temperature, 520.8℃, showed relatively good temperature history.
