This paper describes the measurement result of leakage current flowing arresters connected in feeder lines to propose an optimal management method. Twenty seven arresters set in seven areas were analyzed on a regular basis for 4 months. The results showed that the RMS and the peak value of the total leakage currents for soundness arresters were a range of ... respectively. During the period of measurement, the magnitude of the leakage current didn"t show conspicious changes and there were impossible places to analyze arrester"s status due to including high THD rate in a feeder line. From the study, leakage current measurement has to be performed at a condition without running an electric train in the line, and the allowable RMS value of soundness arrester is bellow 600uA.

Detection of small leakage current is the most important technique in arrester diagnosis. Various types of leakage current detector have been commercialized, but they are not available for the railway arresters including voltage harmonics, and do not furnish enough information needed for arrester diagnosis. This paper describes the development of a leakage current detector which is suitable for the railway arresters. The detector is consisted of a sensor unit with amplifier, an optical linker and main analyzer. Frequency bandwidth and measuring range of the detector is 9[㎐]~ 850[㎐] and 50[㎂]~ 5[㎃], respectively.

This paper dealt with a component test of train control and management system(TMS) developed for korean tilting train express(TTX). This system that is established on TTX monitors and controls action of various devices by running of the train. Also, to performance estimation of the TMS, it is essential to verify a composition and function of TMS. Therefore, this study reviewed standards related on a component test of the TMS and confirmed test items, test conditions and evaluation basis on a Component Test. Running Test of TTX can verify performance of TMS and communications with other devices and secure reliability of TMS.
다중 뇌충격전류에 의한 산화아연형 피뢰기 소자의 특성 변화

Multiple-lightning impulse currents are a general feature of the lightning ground f=flash. It is therefore necessary for lightning arresters used in power systems to be estimated by applying not only a single-lightning impulse current but also a multiple-lightning impulse currents. This paper presents the effects of multiple-lightning impulse currents on deterioration of ZnO arrester blocks. The multiple-lightning impulse generator which can produce quadruple 8/20$[\mus]$ 5[kA] with separation time of 30~120[ms] is designed and fabricated. The total energy applied to the arrester block at each impulse is about 1,200[J]. In experiment, various parameters such as leakage current component, reference voltage, and temperature are measured with the number of applied impulse current. Also, micro-structure changes of the ZnO blocks after applying the single and the multiple-lightning impulse currents of 200 times are compared. The experimental results indicate that the types of arrester blocks are more vulnerable to deterioration or damage by multiple-lightning impulse currents.
Short-Arc 램프용 전자식 안정기의 설계 및 제작

본 논문은 승압형 컨버터, 강압형 컨버터 및 저주파 인버터를 이용한 고휘도 Short-Arc 램프용 전자식 안정기의 설계 및 제작에 관하여 기술하였다. 제안한 안정기는 130 [Hz]의 구형 저주파를 램프에 인가함으로써 고압 방전 램프에서 발생할 수 있는 음향공명현상을 제거하였으며, 25 [kHz]의 고주파 전압을 중첩시켜 아크튜브의 전극에서 발생할 수 있는 열적 불균형을 해소하였다. 또한 전압 전류의 합을 이용한 정전력 제어를 수행하여, 주위 환경 및 램프의 노화에 따른 램프 전압의 변화에 대하여 안정한 점등상태를 유지하였다. 실험 결과로부터, 제작한 전자식 안정기의 램프 전압, 전류 및 전력은 각각 123.8 [V], 8.1 [A] 1,002 [W]로 측정되었다. This paper deals with an electronic ballast for hish intensity short-arc discharge lamps, which consists of a boost converter, a step down converter operated as a current source with power regulation and a low frequency inverter with external ignition circuit The ignition circuit generates high voltage pulses of 130[Hz] up to 5 [kV]. A reignition circuit is equipped in the ballast, and it operates the lamp at a regular interval for protection when an ignition fails. Acoustic resonance phenomenon was eliminated by operating a low frequency square wave voltage and current. The measured lamp voltage, current and consumption power were 123.8 [V], 8.1 [A] and 1,002 [W], respectively. From the experiment, we confirmed that the prototype ballast operates the lamp with a constant power.

The basic performance of the ground system is evaluated as the ground resistance by applying low frequency current below 1 kHz. However, characteristics of the ground system should be analyzed by high frequency current up to 1 MHz since transient currents having a few hundred kHz component flow during a line-to-ground fault and/or a lightning strike. This paper deals with the design and fabrication of a wideband ground impedance meter (WGIM) which measures the impedance of ground systems in ranges from 65 Hz to 1.28 MHz. Also, a noise elimination algorithm using a digital bandpass filter is proposed. The maximum error of the WGIM is 4.91% in the measurement frequency range.
