The objective of this paper is to investigate the influence of impact conditions on the impact characteristics of the SPFC 780 sheet for the case of the free boundary conditions. In order to examine impact characteristics of the sheet, three-dimensional finite element analyses have been performed. High speed tensile tests have been carried out to obtain strain-stress relationships including the effects of the strain rate. Through the comparison of the results of FE analyses and that of impact tests, an accurate FE model has been developed. In order to reduce error range of load and displacement, the hyper-elastic model and the damping factor have been employed. From the results of FE analyses, the variation of stress and strain energy in the SPFC 780 sheet has been quantitatively examined.

The objective of this paper is to investigate into characteristics of the impact energy absorption of ISB panels for the case of the free boundary conditions. In order to examine into characteristics of the impact energy absorption, drop impact tests have been performed. Through the results of the impact tests, The absorbed impact energy per weight, the deformation characteristics of the ISB panels have been quantitatively examined. The experimental results of the ISB panels have been compared to that of SPFC 780 sheet. The impact energy of the tests ranges from 37.1J to 109.1J. From the results of the experiments, it has been shown that ISB panels have a high absorbed impact energy per weight about 9% in comparison with SPFC 780 sheet.

In this study basic equations of fiber orientations is compared with experimental results It is found that fiber orientations of short fiber reinforced polymeric composite under compression molding are governed by slope of flow speed in x-y direction. Fiber orientation angle of mold is also found to increase with closure speed and the compression ratio. At the middle of the mold, the slope of flow speed is larger in x-direction than in y-direction. At the wall of the mold, the slope of flow speed in y-direction occurs due to the effect of friction, hence affects the fiber orientation. The effect of partial flow, which incurs y-direction orientation causes to increase the fiber orientation angle at the fore part of the flow.

The objective of this paper is to investigate into characteristics of the impact energy absorption of ISB panel with a bumper sections of automotive for the case of the fixed boundary conditions. In order to examine into characteristics of the impact energy absorption, drop impact tests have been performed. Through the results of the impact tests, The absorbed impact energy per weight, the nose penetration and the deformation characteristics of the ISB panel have been quantitatively examined. The experimental results of the ISB panel have been compared to those of SPFC 780 panel. From the results of the experiments, it has been shown that ISB panel with a bumper section of automobile has an excellent crashworthiness in comparison with SPFC 780 at the impact energy of 26.1 J and 65.9 J.

In this paper was studied on the mechanical characteristics of Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastics(GFRP) of the steel bar it is to replace The advantage of FRP such as high strength low weight and chemical inertness or noncorrosiveness can be fully exploited. GFRP bar were successfully fabricated at 10mm nominal diameters and hollow types using a pultrusion method Tensile and bending specimens from this bar were tested and compared with behavior of GFRP rebar and steel bar.

Using conventional textile techniques such as weaving, braiding, knitting and stitching it is possible to produce a wide range two and three dimensional fiber preforms. However, so far only a limited attention has been given to knitted fabrics in composite industry. This is mainly due to the opinion that knitted fabric reinforced composites posses low mechanical properties owing to their looped fiber architecture. But it is possible to obtain desired mechanical properties by selecting proper knitted fabric structure. In this paper, tensile failure load and displacement of one yarn, four yarns and knitted fabrics of ten yarns of kevlar fiber were determined experimentally in the unidirection. Mechanical properties of plain weft knitted fabrics reinforced composite intrusion beam for car side door application were investigated experimentally, which compared with desire value of American Fedral Motor vehicles Safety Standard (FMVSS) and presented the results.
섬유강화 복합재료의 사출성형에 있어서 섬유배향에 미치는 성형조건의 영향

Injection molding is a very important industrial process for the manufacturing of plastics objects. During an injection molding process of composites, the fiber-matrix separation and fiber orientation are caused by the flow of molten polymer/fiber mixture. As a result, the product tends to be nonhomogeneous and anisotropic. Hence, it is very important to clarify the relations between separation orientation and injection molding conditions. So far, there is no research on the measurement of fiber orientation using image processing. In this study, the effects of fiber content ratio and molding condition on the fiber orientation-angle distributions are studied experimentally. Using the image processing method, the fiber orientation distribution of weld-line parts in injection-molded products is assessed. And the effects of fiber content and injection molding conditions on the fiber orientation functions are also discussed.
