The vesicle can storage and transport materials and have the same structure as the human body's cell membrane, thus attracting attention in various industries such as drug delivery systems (DDS) and transdermal delivery systems (TDS). The vesicles' size and stability are important factors in DDS and TDS as they affect the amount of the material and the time span over which the material is released. Therefore, it is important to make vesicles that are stable in size. In this work, the vesicle's size was optimized, and an analysis was performed to determine the material contained within the vesicle. To optimize the vesicles' size, the concentration of lipids and the extrusion flow rate, which can affect the size of the vesicles, were optimized, and results were obtained as < 0.4% and 0.3 mL/min, respectively. Also, we confirmed that 2.6 μM of calcein was contained in the calcein containing vesicle by the internal standard method. From these results, AF4 can be a useful tool for characterizing vesicles' size and size distribution. It also provides its applicability as a separating and preparing method to obtain the desired size range vesicles.
Effect of Ball Milling and KOH Activation on Electrochemical Properties of Pitch-based Carbon Fibers
최정윤,심상은,박수진 대한화학회 2015 Bulletin of the Korean Chemical Society Vol.36 No.10
Ball-milled and chemically activated pitch-based carbon fibers (PCF) were prepared for use as electrode materials. Ball milling altered the structure of PCF from fibers to micro-sized particles with loss of porosity. In contrast, chemical activation using KOH facilitated the development of pore structures. The supercapacitive behavior of treated PCF was assessed using cyclic voltammetry and galvanostatic charge/discharge experiments in 6 M KOH electrolytic solution. BAPCF900, the sample subjected to combined ball milling and chemical treatment, activated at 900 °C, exhibited a specific capacitance of about 80 F/g at a current density of 0.2 A/g; this good capacitance is attributed to a specific surface area of 803 m2/g and a total pore volume of 0.352 cm3/g, and is related to the appropriate pore structure for electrode application, comprising mesopores and micropores.

Recently, there has been rampant cases of sexual offenses including sexual harassment and extortion. Particularly, the number of reports and seizures of sexual offenses in the workplace has been on a steady increase. However, due to lack of evidence, proper punishment has not been achieved. This paper, aims to use mobile phones, which most people are in possess, to record daily lives and use it as evidence for the victims’ in these situations by converting them into text. To achieve this, we recorded using a mobile device, transferred the data to a Linux server, converted it to text using Speech To Text(STT), and implemented a CCVoice service based on Google Cloud Speech API, which can easily be recognized by a user on a web server. This allows the user to record at a set time even when the user is unconscious, enabling the user to easily cope with the situation even when he/she is abused or harassed in unprepared situations.

Cervical and ocular vestibular evoked myogenic potential (VEMP) may be one of the important clinical tools for evaluation of vestibular function. Cervical VEMP evaluates saccule and reflects the functional status of inferior vestibular nerve combining with vertical head impulse test. Ocular VEMP assesses utricle function and provides superior vestibular nerve function in addition to horizontal head impulse test and caloric test. Currently, the clinical implications of VEMP have been expanded to estimate disease severity and location, differentiate diverse vestibular disorders, and predict the prognosis. In present review, we discuss the findings of VEMP according to the lesion location from peripheral vestibular dysfunction to central vestibulopathy and disease characteristics from monophasic transient disorders to chronic progressive disorders.
