        불활화 Aujeszky`s disease virus 항원의 자돈과 실험동물에서의 면역반응

        We have studied about the safety, immunity and protective potency in swine and experimental animals of two inactivated vaccine produced with NYJ-1-87 strain of ADV that was isolated in Korea. Result obtained through the experiments were summarized as follows. 1. The safe potency of ADV antigens inactivated with BEI and formaline to mouse & guinea pig was on the whole good, but protective potency rates of those to challenge with ADV were 60-75% without the differences to two antigens. 2. Safety, immunity & protective potency of ADV antigens inactivated with BEI and formaline to swine were on the whole excellent, except for a mild increase of rectal temperature in some pigs after challenge with ADV. 3. When virus excretion of the experimental groups after challenge with ADV was examed by swabbing of nasal, all pigs of control group excreted virus from 2 days p.c., partially to 10 days p.c.. But in vaccinated groups, only 25-50% of all pigs of each group excreted virus during experimental periods. 4. Titers of antibodies in swine & quinea pig vaccinated with inactivated ADV antigens become increased after the 1 weeth p.i. showing the highest titers on the 4-5 weeths p.i.

        국내 분리 닭 전염성 기관지염 바이러스 성상에 관한 연구

        In order to investigate the biological properties, pathogenicity and immune responses in artficially infected SPF chickens with Avian infectious bronchitis virus that was isolated from chickens showing IB like signs in southern region of Chung buk. Results obtained throuth the experiments are summarized as follows. 1. From 15 IB suspected cases, two strains of IB virus were isolated, one each from the tracheas and lungs. 2. Infectious bronchitis specific embryo lesions were observed after four serial passages of the isolates in chicken embryos. 3. The field isolates and M-41 strain of IB virus interfered with the replication of Newcastle disease virus in chicken embryos. 4. When specific pathogen free chickens, two week old, were inoculated with the TB virus isolates, clinical respiratory signs as dyspnea, coughing were observed. Airsacculitis was observed by necropsy. 5. AGP antibody positive rates of inoculated SPF chickens were highest on day 14 and lowest on day 36, while HI antibody responses were detected on day 14 in all Groups, the reinoculated Group was shown highest titers. 6. By Indirect immunofluorescence antibody assay of artificially infected SPF chickens, the viral antigens were detected in tissues of larynx, trachea and lung on the 4th to 7th days post inoculation.

        대청호(大淸湖) 유역(流域)의 축산폐수(畜産廢水) 오염(汚染)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究)

        Livestock waste causes ground and surface water pollution, eutrophication of reservoir as well as adverse affects living environment of those who dwell nearby. In order to investigate the pollution load from livestock waste, physical and chemical characteristics of the waste were determinded in the survey of livestock farms. Once pollution load is obtained as a function of the origin units of livestock, the influence of livestock waste on the Daecheong reservoir was studied. 1. For Daecheong reservoir inflow area, the liverstock manure productions of beef cattle, swine, dairy cattle and chicken were 1,135.6t/day, 480t/day, 241.3t/day, 48t/day respectively: Beef cattle was the major source of the pollution. Pollution loading productions due to the livestock waste around the were found to be 53.31t/day for BOD, 222.49t/day for COD, 261.99t/day for T-S, 9.64t/day for T-N, 6.54t/day for T-P. 2. Bocheong stream turnd out to be the major contribution for pollution loading production to Daecheong reservoir with 10,748kg/day of BOD, 47,157kg/day of COD, 1,946kg/day of T-N, 1,271kg/day of T-P. 3. Actual pollution loadings from livestock wastes for the area of Daecheong reservoir were estimated as 1,997kg/day(BOD), 8,546kg/day(COD), 364kg/day(T-N), 243kg/day(T-P), respectively. Therefore, advanced treatment for livestock waste is recommended for Daecheong reservoir inflow area to eliminate the nutrients which are major sources of eutrophication of the reservoir.
