NAO(Non Asbestos Organics) friction materials were investigated to study the role of metal sulfide lubricants on the friction performance. Four different metal sulfide lubricants including SbS₂, MoS₂, FeS and SnS were employed in this investigation. The tribological properties of friction materials like coefficient of friction, braking temperature, noise and wear were evaluated on a scale tester. In effectiveness, S4(SnS) shows better performance in low speed and S1(Sb₂S₃) shows good performance in high speed . S2(MoS2) and S3(FeS) show good noise property.
Brake 마찰재 Groan Noise 저감을 위한 Stick Slip 변화 연구

Brake noise is devidede into low frequency noise and high frequency noise. Groan noise is the one of the low frequency noises. NAO(Non Asbestos Organics) friction materials were investigated to study the stick slip characteristics for reduction of groan noise of brake pads. Low materials which are mineral fiber, potassium titanate and cashew dust were tested in this investigation. The tribological properties of friction materials like stick slip, coefficient of friction, braking temperature, noise and wear were evaluated on a scale tester and groan noise was tested on vehicle. J3 and J4 occurred stick slip phenomenon made groan noise.
