This paper is analyzed a new modulation method of OSW(Optimized Sine-Wave) modulation strategy for cascaded H-bridge multi-level inverter. The inverter structure was modified with the maximum output voltage level, and the switching angle was calculated easily to adjust the requested Vrms of the output. The suggested modulation method could make output waveform very close to the ideal sine wave, and the THD value was improved also remarkably.
특정 고조파 제거를 위한 Cascaded H-bridge 7레벨 인버터의 특성해석 및 시뮬레이션

This paper is presented the analysis results and simulation results of cascaded H-bridge 7 level inverter with various modulation index. Stepped waveform having N number of switching was used to eliminate N-1 harmonic components. Switching angles according to modulation index are calculated numerically. Therefore, 3 times of switching - General in 7 level topology - in QWS(Quarter Wave Symmetry) could eliminate 5th and 7th harmonics. The Harmonic characteristics are compared to those of space vector modulation method which known as common modulation method in industrial field. Stepped waveform method showed higher ability to reduce, especially lower order of harmonics.
NTV 식별과정 없는 멀티레벨 인버터의 신속한 공간벡터PWM 변조 기법

In this paper, we suggest a new space vector PWM modulation method with very short processing time which does not need identification of nearest three vectors(NTV) and duty ratio for each vector. The suggested PWM method makes mean value of phase voltage to be same as reference during every modulation period by use of a triangle in small hexagon on multi-level vector space. This paper described the suggested modulation method can be successfully applied to the space vector modulation use of multi-level inverter by computer simulations and experiments.

The sea is origin of all life, and 90% of the all living organisms are in the sea. The biosynthesis is very different. Many organisms are kept on a lower or developed to another evolutionary level than on shore. Our society is increasing demand and need for marine food and this food has to product at onshore or offshore fish farming sites. Ocean fish farms have a special operation properties such as a good quality water, net cage, sheltered locations and feeding system. The farming site is controlled and monitored for fish welfare as ammonia(NH₃), temperature, the speed of a running fluid. Specially, the fish farm is seriously influenced by ammonia. In this paper, NH₃ monitoring system for ocean fish farm is researched for the suitable fish farming sites, and test equipment is designed for achieving practical data. The equipment wit monitoring algorithm is expected to the useful system for ocean fish farm.

As demands for operational safety and efficiency of crane have been intensified, the requirements for crane drivers' skill have becoming complicated and intricate. Thus, the need exists for effective training devices to better prepare crane drivers for the challenges that they will encounter in the actual crane operating environment. Utilizing simulation technology, even the most skillful and experienced crane drivers are able to improve their operation skills. Crane simulator can provide as much valuable experience as actual crane operation. Situations requiring high skill levels can be practiced repeatedly and, even though mistakes may be made, damage to actual equipment and injury to personnel do not occur. As the basic study on crane simulator, this paper introduces the setting of crane speed, weights, wind, sway, and the fault setting of twist lock, flippers, spreader lamps, and hydraulic systems, etc.

In this paper, we present a adaptive fuzzy neural network controller which unifies both fuzzy logic and multi layered feedforward neural networks. In the proposed adaptive fuzzy neural network controller, the parameters of membership functions in the antecedent part of fuzzy inference rules are identified by using the error backpropagation algorithm as a learning rule, while the coefficients of the linear combination of input variables in the consequent part are determined by using the least squared estimation method. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed controller is verified through computer simulation of a container crane system.

The PID controllers have been widely accepted in many industrial systems due to their robust performance in a wide range of operating conditions and their functional simplicity To implement a PID controller, its three parameters must be determined for the given plant. Conventional tuning methods are mainly based on experience and experiment and are lack of systematic procedure Recently. to overcome drawbacks of conventional tuning methods, genetic algorithms have been used, In this paper a real-coded genetic algorithm is employed to search for the optimal parameters of the PID controller for speed control of marine gas turbine engines. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.
