영동선 동백산-도계간 철도이설공사 중 제2사갱과 본선 접속부에서 실시한 반사법 탄성파 탐사(TSP, HSP)를 통하여 터널내 불연속면에 대한 존재 유무를 확인하고 발파 및 굴진 등 시공 및 안정성 확보에 만전을 기하고자 한다. Seismic Reflection Methods (TSP, HSP) have been applied in the junction between 2nd Adit and Main Tunnel (Solan Tunnel) of Youngdiong Railroad (Mt. Dongbaek~Dokye). In this paper, methods and case study will be introduced to predict discontinuties in the tunnel before excavation by the Seismic Reflection Methods (TSP, HSP)and secure construction stability of the tunnel in blasting and excavation.

본 논문은 영동선 동백산역에서 도계역사이를 연결하는 장대터널 (솔안터널)의 시공사례에 대한 연구결과를 제시하였다. 본 터널은 완공시 길이 16.2Km로 국내최장터널이 된다. 본 터널 현장은 단층, 공동 및 함탄층으로 구성된 지질학적으로 복잡한 지역에 위치한다. 2번사갱 굴착을 위하여 사전에 전기비저항탐사 및 지하레이다탐사 등의 지구물리학적인 탐사방법이 단층, 공동 및 함탄층을 사전에 찾아내는데 활용되었으며, 이 방법은 상당한성과가 있었다. 이 물리탐사결과 및 현지 시추자료는 터널 보강설계를 개선하기 위한 자료로 활용되었다. 강관다단 그라우팅 방법은 단층 및 공동이 발달한 지역에서 좋은 보강 및 그라우팅효과를 발휘함이 입증되었다. 함탄층에서는 스웰렉스 록볼트와 공내 몰탈 그라우팅을 병행한 방법이 효과적임이 확인되었다. This paper presents a case study on the construction of a long tunnel named as "Solan tunnel", which connects between Mt. Dongbaek station and Dokye station in the Youngdong Railroad. The tunnel will be the longest tunnel with length of 16.4 km in Korea when completed. The tunnel site is located in a complex geological region with faults, cavities and coal measures. In construction of adit No. 2, geophysical investigation methods such as electrical resistivity method and GPR(Ground Penetration Radar) were used to detect faults, cavities and coal measures in advance with some success. The geophysical investigation results and in-situ boring data were used as feedback to improve tunnel reinforcement design. Also, the tube umbrellas of grouted steel pipes were found to have a good reinforcement and grouting effects in zones of faults, cavities. In zones of coal measures, swellex rockbolts with mortar grouting were verified as successful.
고수압 조건에서의 세그먼트 방수성능평가에 대한 실험적 연구

본 논문에서는 쉴드TBM터널의 세그먼트 연결부 방수재로 기장 많이 사용되는 수팽창성 지수재와 가스켓의 방수성능을 실험을 통하여 평가하였다. 방수성능은 내수압방식으로 수행하였으며, 수팽창성 지수재의 방수성능을 평가하기 위하여 5일간의 수침기간을 두었다. 수팽창성 지수재는 일반적인 형태와 비팽창성고무가 결합된 형태의 두가지 방식을 적용하였고, 가스켓은 일반적으로 가장 많이 사용되는 EPDM가스켓과 수팽창성지수재가 부착된 복합형 가스켓을 적용하였다. 세그먼트의 방수성능은 시공오차 및 세그먼트 변형에 크게 의존하며, 일반적으로 이러한 시공오차 및 세그먼트 변형은 연결부 벌어짐 (Gap)과 연결부 엇갈림 (Offset)으로 표현된다. 이 Gap과 Offset에 따른 방수성능의 변화를 관찰한 결과, 세그먼트의 방수성능은 시공오차 중 Gap의 영향을 크게 받는 것을 확인할 수 있었으며, Gap과 Offset에 대한 관리기준치가 제시되었다. In this study, the performance of water tightness of water expansional sealing material and gasket was evaluated. The water tightness test was performed varying the type of inner pressure condition, for which the water expansional sealing material was inundated for 5 days to evaluate the ability of water tightness. In order to carry out this test, we made use of two types of water expansional sealing material; general type and combined type with non-expansional rubber. In the case of gasket, EPDM gasket and complex gasket sticked to the water expansional sealing material were applied. The performance of water tightness depended on the construction defect and the deformation of segment. The construction defect and segment deformation were generally expressed by gap and offset of the construction joint. The results, of tests showed that the performance of water tightness was largely influenced by the gap between segments. Management criteria of gap and offset were proposed.

The composite bridge has become one of the main bridge structure forms, and reinforced concrete decks have been commonly used with these composite bridges. However, the construction of reinforced concrete decks plate have a lot of problems such as vulnerability to environment of construction sites. On the other hand, precast decks can reduce the construction period about 50% compared to the reinforced concrete decks. In this paper, we present a recent example of the composite bridge with precast deck in JUNGBU highway. This precast deck system is expected to contribute to the development of the construction technology of the composite bridge

Determination of the Construction Method for the Young Dong tunnel by Risk Assessment

The construction method for the Young Dong Tunnel has been chosen following detailed risk assessment. In this paper, the specific risks to the project programme, associated with adopting either mechanical excavation in the form of a shielded TBM, or drill and blast excavation methods, are assessed. From the risk assessment results, and taking other important factors into account, such as project sensitivity and local experience, the recommendation is made that the relatively low risk drill-and-blast method is the most appropriate for construction of the Young Dong tunnel.

In this paper a determination of the optimal excavation method and machine type for a tunnel under the Han river between the Sungsoo-dong, Sungdong-Gu and the Chungdaw-dong, Kangnam-Gu in the Bundang railway. The geological investigation results show that some fractured zones exist locally under the northern boundary of the Han river bed, but the other regions consist mostly of hard rocks of good quality in the tunnel excavation level. Also, a hign water pressure of 5㎏f/㎠ and a flash inflow of river water due to old boring holes are expected during tunnel excavation. A EPB shield TBM is selected as a optimal excavation machine for the Han river tunnel considering the geological and site conditions.
