This study presents, the effects of the performance for different diffuser angle has been investigated by CFD methods. The steady numerical simulation using k-omega turbulent model with frozen rotor interface was used for multistage MVC(Mechanical Vapor Compressor) simulation. In this simulation using four section zones and only single passage on each stage is considered to reduce the computational cost and time consuming. This study is just only focused on the effect of angle. From the simulation result shows a good understanding about the optimum angle condition even though using steady simulation.
Experimental Study on Fresh Water Generation System with Low Pressure Evaporation

In this study, experiment of fresh water generation with effect of vacuuming in evaporator was conducted to investigate the effect of various parameters on pressure and temperature distribution inside evaporator, and fresh water or condensed vapor collected from the system. The results of this study show that temperature and flow rateof feed water to the evaporator, and orifice diameter are important factors affecting pressure and temperature inside evaporator, and amount of condensed vapor yield. Varieties of feed water temperature and flow rate are 40-80 0C and 200-400 ㎖/min respectively. From this study shows also that it is possible to use non-conventional energy sources such as lower pressure waste steam for heating feed water to the evaporator of fresh water generation system.

A numerical simulation for studying fluid flow and heat transfer characteristics in a square channels with thermal enhancements are investigated in the present study. The square duct has a length 300㎜ and height 30㎜ square thermal enhancements are attached in the bottom and top walls. The thermal enhancements with different height and shape have been used in the current study. To Calculate the heat transfer, k-omega SST model. The numerical results have also checked with available Theoretical relations Good agreements has achieved.

This study represents the flow uniformity and pressure drop in catalytic converter. Present research model type is a monolithic catalytic converter. So, this type have been widely used for satisfaction the regulations of pollutant emissions in automobiles. The mean experimental parameter was engine speed and ceramics monolith in the catalytic converter. The experimental test engine model was used the 124.1㏄ motorcycle engine. The experimental study using thermal imaging method shows the megaphone type model has larger effective area than that of the basic model. The rate of effective area in the basic model is about 8.9 % and the megaphone type model has 41.52%, 34.60%, 33.43%, 25.43%, 17.82% according to the diffuser angle 4°, 8°. In conclusion, the megaphone type monolithic converter has higher efficiency of reducing the pollution with less noise compared to the basic shape and we believe this will be very important as an design guide of the advanced motorcycle.
기화방열식 Cool Roof Fan의 냉풍효과에 대한 연구

환기는 자연환기와 강제환기로 분류되며, 최근에는 하절기에 작업장의 환경개선을 위해 냉각된 공기를 공급하는 환기를 적용하는 경우가 많아지고 있다. 하지만 대규모의 작업장에 냉각된 공기를 공급하기 위해서는 많은 에너지가 필요하며, 이를 보완하기 위해 물의 증발열을 이용하여 공기를 냉각시킨 후 공급하는 환기장치의 도입사례가 증가하고 있으며, 본 실험연구는 부산의 모 신발공장에 실제 적용된 기화방열식 환기장치의 성능을 평가한 사례연구로서 하절기에 외부의 대기온도에 대해 어느 정도의 냉각능력을 구현할 수 있는지 측정하였다. 실험결과로부터 하절기에 약 6~7 ℃ 정도의 냉각효과를 구현하지만 급기의 상대습도가 매우 높아짐을 정량적으로 측정할 수 있었다. 실험결과에 의하면 기화방열식 전체환기 설비가 타방식과 비교하여 작동방식이 단순하며, 에너지 소비가 적은 경제적인 냉각설비이며, 급기의 습도 제어기능만 부가되면 매우 효율적인 환기 - 냉각기능을 동시에 수행할 수 있는 설비임을 확인하였다. The ventilation effect of a ventilation system, which is classified as the forced ventilation and natural ventilation, is predominantly dependent on the combination of air supply and discharge. Perhaps the simplest ventilation is merely supplying the air as it is. However, to improve the indoor working environment during the summer, an air supply that is cooled to some extent has been widely adopted. Recently, a cooling method utilizing the vaporization of water was introduced. In this study, the performance of an evaporation-type air supply unit that was produced by Japan K-company and was installed in a shoe-manufacturing plant in Busan was investigated. The purpose of the experiment was to measure how much the supplied air could be cooled. From this experimental study, we confirmed that the evaporation-type air supply system is efficient, capable of improving the working environment during the summer while minimizing the energy cost.

This study was performed to evaluate the theoretical analysis of the mass balance and heat balance, a single effect desalination process by mechanical vapor compression (MVC), and a set of correlations for evaluation of the thermo-physical property of water. The analysis focuses on prediction of specific power consumption for the vapor compression of the desalination process by mechanical vapor compression. A present study was performed the vapor compression ratio 1.24, the suction steam pressure 31.2 kPa (saturation temperature 343.15 K), and discharge pressure 38.6 kPa (saturation temperature 348.15 K). Finally, comparison of the specific energy consumption of the MVC desalination process and the 5 effect thermal vapor compression (MED-TVC) desalination process was evaluated. The choice between the two systems should be done when plant operating parameter and operating cost is considered

The performance of bubble pump was discussed in this paper. First, this article gave a brief introduction of solar water heating system and bubble pump. It explained the research background. In the second chapter, the theoretic foundation of bubble pump, which refer to two-phase flow and heat transfer in boiling was given. Based on this, commend a structure of bubble pump. In the third chapter, by the numerical simulation to design the optimize dimension of bubble pump. In the forth chapter, involves the testing of bubble pump solar water heating system. Four sub-chapters included short-term results and analysis, long-term result and analysis. At the meantime, because of thε quarter application difference, the comparative analysis of winter and summer running condition was given. Final1y, give the comparative analysis with the reference. The last chapter is the conclusion part of this thesis.
