This paper presents the development of 10 kW permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) for small hydropower plants considering flow rates and net head. The initial and detailed design are determined using a load distribution method (LDM) which is a well-known method for designing an electric machine and a 2D-FEA which is performed for more accurate analysis of PMSG. The characteristic analysis results of proposed model with straight line magnet are satisfied with the initail model with curved magnet. Finally, the analysis and the design results are confirmed by the experimental results.

This study examined the establishment and management of urbanscape plan by four local governments of Jeollanam-do province. Since all local government used previous types of landscape design, but they cannot create their own identity. Therefore, local governments established basic landscape design with urban master plan. This plan showed uniformity of landscape design. The factors of landscape design were used such as land use, landscape axis, base and view spot. Basic landscape design was performed in whole administrative districts and analyzed their problems, general conditions, future aspect of landscape and future goal setting.

This paper presents the improved back-EMF of Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator(IPMSM) for small hydropower generator. To improve back-EMF characteristics, the size and position of notch are applied to the rotor. In addition, parametric analysis of the notch size and position was performed. Finally, the back-EMF characteristic analysis are confirmed by the experimental results.

This paper is development of single-phase brushless DC motor with outer rotor for ventilation fan. Cogging torque causes the noise?vibration to greatest impact on ventilation fan. Asymmetric notches are applied to tapered-teeth for cogging torque reduction of single-phase brushless DC motor. Initial model is notchless and proposed model is applied 2 asymmetric notches. The proposed method is proved motor characteristic through finite element analysis(FEA). Also, experimental results verify that the proposed model considerably reduces cogging torque and have the good sound quality in ventilation system.
