This study examines the spatial characteristics and changes in spatial compositions of Yeong-dan houses, particularly at Sungui-dong areas in Incheon. The historical significance of the houses is that they are housing prototypes in the course of shifts from traditional residences to new housing styles in Incheon. Reviewing the existing literatures and documents with regard to the Yeong-dan houses, it first discusses the background of the establishment of the houses. Then, it investigates the typical configurations, spatial elements and prototypes of the houses. For a detailed analysis of changes and spatial transformations of the houses, the field survey is performed to collect research materials of the houses and to analyze the specifics of the changes of the houses. During this process, most of the plans of the houses are redrawn for a further analysis. The results of the field survey illustrates that most of the plans of the houses have not been maintained as they first built. Some of them at present remain knackered and abandoned. It may be due to considerable economic growth and rapid modernization and urbanization of cities. Therefore, it is necessary to record the present of Yeong-dan houses before the mass demolition, and then to analyze the aspects of the changes. The research will become a basic document towards the preservation of historical resources of the city.

Urban regeneration projects are projects that provide vitality to the community by readjusting the residential environment of the decayed old city center and revitalizing the community of residents. Urban Regeneration projects are mainly planned under the initiative of the administration and are carried out in a structure in which local governments implement them. However, for sustainable regional revitalization, residents" understanding of and active participation in the project is inevitable. In this study, we want to identify the importance and problems of residents" participation in urban regeneration projects, and apply the CLEAR model in the U.K. to the actual cases of urban regeneration projects in Korea in phases to present effective measures for residents" participation.

This study deals with a project model proposed for the urban regeneration of Keumchang Dong Village in Incheon. After lifting the redevelopment district designation plan, large obsolete and low-rise housing areas have been subdivided toward the regeneration of small scale villages. While doing so, some areas have been isolated and neglected causing the villages to be socially depressed and physically deteriorated. With the villager participations, this study intends to suggest some basic methods towards the village improvement.
토지피복지도와 KOMPSAT-3A위성영상을 활용한 환경성평가지도의 구축

In this study, the periodic and simplified update and production way of the ECVAM (Environmental Conservation Value Assessment Map) was presented through the classification of environmental values using KOMPSAT-3A satellite imagery and land cover map. ECVAM is a map that evaluates the environmental value of the country in five stages based on 62 legal evaluation items and 8 environmental and ecological evaluation items, and is provided on two scales: 1:25000 and 1:5000. However, the 1:5000 scale environmental assessment map is being produced and serviced with a slow renewal cycle of one year due to various constraints such as the absence of reference materials and different production years. Therefore, in this study, one of the deep learning techniques, KOMPSAT-3A satellite image, SI (Spectral Indices), and land cover map were used to conduct this study to confirm the possibility of establishing an environmental assessment map. As a result, the accuracy was calculated to be 87.25% and 85.88%, respectively. Through the results of the study, it was possible to confirm the possibility of constructing an environmental assessment map using satellite imagery, optical index, and land cover classification.

In the Middle Ages, cathedrals were constructed using the principles of number and geometry, based on the religious view that the world was formed by God. This paper aims to find out how the design principles of Gothic cathedrals were applied to domestic cathedral architecture when the architectural style of Gothic cathedrals was introduced in Korea in the 19C. The research method aims to examine the design principles of Gothic cathedrals through prior research and analyze how these principles were applied to the spatial composition, geometric proportion, and symbolic number of domestic cathedrals. As a result, it is judged that the design principles of Gothic cathedrals were not applied, but it seems to follow the Gothic style in many areas, such as spatial composition and decorative elements.
