        근막이완술이 유착성 관절낭염 환자의 통증 역치와 교감신경계 과활동에 미치는 효과: 사례연구

        Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the effects of myofascial release technique on pain threshold and hormonal changes in patients with adhesive capsulitis of the shoulder. Methods: Eight patients with adhesive capsulitis were treated with the myofascial release technique. Myofascial release is a form of manual therapy that involves the application of a low load, long duration stretch to the myofascial complex, intended to restore optimal length, decrease pain, and improve function. Blood tests and pressure pain threshold (PPT) examinations were performed on their first visit. On their second visit, the myofascial release technique was applied to the shoulder for 20 min. Then, blood tests and PPT were re-evaluated to determine the effects of the myofascial release technique on pain threshold and hormonal changes. Results: Pain threshold increased from 2.92 to 24.13 lb after treatment. Epinephrine decreased from .13 to .08 ng/mL whereas norepinephrine increased from .25 to .41ng/㎖ after treatment. Conclusion: Myofascial release technique in patients with adhesive capsulitis increased pain thresholds, norepinephrine and decreased epinephrine levels.

        Pain originating from the sacroiliac joint(SIJ) has been associated with poor performance, yet specific diagnosis of sacroiliac dysfunction(SID) has been difficult to achieve. Clinical presentation of SID appears that pain and poor performance is responsive to local analgesia of periarticular structures with poorly defined pathology, and poor performance with bony pathological changes present as a result of chronic instability. Previous research indicates that physical examination cannot diagnose SIJ pathology. Earlier studies have not reported sensitivities and specificities of composites of provocation tests known to have acceptable inter-examiner reliability. Tests based on mechanics as manual provocation for SIJ pain have formed the basis of tests used to diagnose SIJ dysfunction. In this review summary, the purpose of this study was to describe the sacroiliac tests with a model of examination, diagnosis, and management of SID. Further research is warranted to determine whether SIJ tests is reliable means of evaluating innominate impairments.

        슬링현수 자가 운동이 경추각도에 미치는 영향: 사례연구

        Background: The Purpose of this study was investigated the effects of the Self Sling Suspension on the numbness, radiated pain, visual analogue scale (VAS), Cobb's angle, Jochumsen's depth, neck disabliity index (NDI). Methods: This study was carried out with a 4 forward head posture (FHP) & 4 herniated nucleus pulposus (HNP) survivors. Outcomes such as the Numbness, Radiated Pain, VAS, Cobb's angle, Jochumsen's depth and NDI were measured pre- and post-intervention for both groups. Results: 2 HNP decrease was found numbness & radiated pain. After the intervention, was decreased VAS, NDI and was increased Cobb's angle, Jochumsen's depth. Conclusions: Applying Self Sling Suspension treatment to FHP & HNP patients proved to have a positive effect.

        관절가동술과 TENS가 만성요통환자의 통증역치 및 호르몬 변화에 미치는 영향

        Background: The purpose of this research is to investigate the effects of joint mobilization and transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) on pain threshold and hormonal changes in patients with chronic LBP. Methods: 14 patients with chronic LBP were divided into the experimental group and the control group with 7 patients each, and both groups of patients were evaluated on pain duration, blood tests, and pressure pain threshold (PPT) on their first visit. On their second visit, joint mobilization was applied to the experimental group for 10 min and TENS to the control group for 20 min. Results: Pain threshold and duration of analgesia increased from after treatment in the experimental group. Serotonin and Cortisol decreased after treatment in the experimental group. Conclusion: Joint mobilization in patients with chronic LBP caused an increase in pain duration and pain thresholds and a decrease in serotonin, whereas there was little difference in cortisol.

        Smovey 운동이 유방암 절제술을 한 여성의 견관절 관절가동범 위, 통증, 기능수준, 근력에 미치는 영향

        Background: The Purpose of this study was investigate the Smovey exercise is the effect of range of motion, pain, function, muscle strength of th shoulder with women breast cancer. Methods: This study was carried out with a total 24 breast cancer survivors. By drawing lots women a breast cancer Smovey exercise group (BS, n=11), a breast cancer general therapy group (BG, n=10). Outcomes such as the range of motion(ROM), visual analogue scale(VAS), the shoulder pain and disability index (SI), the muscle strength (MS) were measured pre- and post-intervention for both groups. Results: A significant increase was found ROM, Pain, functional disability level and MS within the two groups (p<.05). There were ROM, pain, functional disability level and MS post test then invention were significant between the two groups (p<.05). Conclusions: Applying Smovey exercise treatment to breast cancer patients proved to have a positive effect.

      • 퇴적암 풍화토의 공학적 특성 -대구.경북지역을 중심으로

        대구.경북지역의 대부분은 퇴적암으로 구성되어 있으며, 퇴적암 풍화토중에서 혈암풍화토와 이함풍화토의 공학적 특성에 대하여 연구하였다. 혈암 및 이암풍화토의 공학적 특성을 파악하기 위하여 다짐시 다짐에너지와 합수비 변화가 입도, 수침 및 비수침CBR, 투수 및 파쇄성에 미치는 영향에 대하여 연구하였고 또한,표면적비(Sw'/Sw)와 파쇄지수(IC)사이의 상관성을 검토하였다. 그 결과는 아래와 같다. (1) 최대 건조단위중량은 혈암풍화토가 이암풍화토보다 큰 값을 갖는 반면, 최적함수비는 혈암풍화토가 이암풍화토보다 작은 값을 갖는다. (2) 최소 투수계수는 최적함수비보다 1~2% 습윤측에 나타났으며, 다짐에너지가 증가할수록 투수계수의 변화폭이 작게 나타났다. (3) 표면적 비와 파쇄지수사이에는 직선적인상관성이 있는 것으로 나타났다. IC = 14.2865w'/Sw -8.429(r=0.9937) (4) 각각의 다짐에너지에서 수침CBR값은 최적함수비의 건조측에서 최대가 되었다가 함수비가 증가할수록 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 또한, 최적함수비를 기준으로 하여 건조측에서는 다짐에너지가 커질수록 비수침 및 수침CBR값이 크게 나타나는 반면, 습윤측에서는 그와 반대의 현상이 나타났다. Much of Taegu and Kyungpook areas are composed of sedimentary rocks. This paper is concerned with the engineering characteristi os of weathered shale soils and mudstone soils. In this study, the engineering characteristics of weathered shale soils and mudstone soils are investigated by performing tests such as compaction, gradation, CBR permeability and crushability according to compaction energy and water content. The experiments were carried out to obtain the relationships of the ratio of surface area(Sw'/Sw) and the indez of crushing(IC) The results are found as follows : (1) Weathered shale soils are larger than weathered mudstone soils in maximun dry den sixty, but weathered shale soils are smaller than weathered mudstone soils in OMC. (2) Minimum permeability is found in OMC's 1~2% wet side, and the more compaction energy is high, the more the change's range of permeability becomes narrow. (3) There is linear correlation between the ratio of surface area and the indez of crushing. IC : 14.286sw'/Sw -8.429(r=0.9937) (4) Soaked CBR value becomes maximum in OMC's dry side, and it decreases as the water content increases. Whereas the more compaction energy is high the more unsoaked and soaked CBR values are high in OMC's dry side, unsoaked and soaked CBR values are opposed to that in OMC's wet side.

        심부목굽힘근운동을 겸한 견부안정화운동과 흉부신전운동이 거북목증후군을 가진 물리치료사와 작업치료사의 자세와 압통역치에 미치는 영향

        Background: This study was carried out to compare the effects of shoulder stabilization exercise and thoracic extension exercise including deep neck flexor exercise on posture and pain targeting physical therapists and occupational therapists with forward head posture. Methods: A total of 30 physical therapists and occupational therapists (15 males, 15 females), who are working in the nursing hospital at Daejeon, were randomly divided into a shoulder stabilization group (n=10), a thoracic extension exercise (n=10), and a control group (n=10), and 3 times were carried out for 8 weeks. Results: In the results of all measurements, 2 groups except for the control group showed a significant change in the recovery of forward head posture, and the should stabilization exercise group showed a relatively superior effect compared to the thoracic extension exercise group. Conclusions: These results of a study will be a basic data for the development of the forward head posture exercise therapy program.

        슬링 운동과 보존적 치료가 요부근육의 횡단면적 변화에 미치는 영향

        Purpose:This study aimed to examine the effects of sling exercise therapy on the relief of low back pain and the cross-sectional area change of lumbar muscles by CT analysis for chronic low back pain patients. Methods:Forty-one patients with diagnosis of chronic low back pain was divided sling exercise therapy group(SEG) 19 subjects and conservative physical therapy group(CPG) 22 subjects. we randomized and treated them(subjects) for 12 weeks. As using visual analogue scale (VAS), we evaluated recovery accuracy of pain, and for investigating cross-section area change of lumbar muscles for before and after treatment we used computed tomography (CT). Results:This study were summarized as follows: 1) As treatment period, in each compared testing on VAS of SEG and CPG, the both group was significantly different(p<05). 2) Compared testing on VAS of between-subject groups (SEG and CPG) were not significantly different (p>.05). 3) At SEG of before and after treatment, in compared testing on cross-section area size of lumbar muscles, All muscles of psoas major, quadratus lumborum, erector spinae and multifidus were significantly different(p<.05). At CPG, psoas major was significantly different (p<.05). But other muscles were not significantly different (p>.05). Conclusion:From this result, both sling exercise therapy and the conservative physical therapy are effect on decrease of pain for chronic low back pain patients, but Increasing of the cross-section area being proportioned with muscular strengthening of low back muscle is noticeable difference in SEG, Therefore, sling exercise therapy have affect both decreasing of pain for chronic low back pain patients and lumbar muscles strengthening.
