The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of 32-week combined exercise on physical fitness and center of pressure in middle-age men with visceral obesity. We recruited 24 middle-aged men (age range, 40 - 50 years) with visceral obesity: a combined group (n=12) and control group (n=12). Visceral fat was defined as an abdominal visceral-to-subcutaneous fat. The frequency of exercise for the combined (i.e., yoga, resistance, aerobic, and balance exercises) group was 3 times per week (i.e., Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) for 32 weeks. Each 60-minute exercise programme included 10minutes of warm-up activities and 10 minutes of cool-down activities. The results of this study showed that combined exercise improves body composition, subcutaneous fat and visceral fat after 32 weeks. Physical fitness was significantly increase than baseline values in the combined group. Anteroposterior range of center of pressure and mediolateral range of center of pressure were significantly decrease than baseline values in combined group after 32 weeks. Our findings demonstrate that a 32-week combined exercise programme such as yoga, resistance, aerobic, and balance may be an effective intervention strategy for improving abdominal fat, physical fitness and center of pressure leading to improved quality of life in middle-aged men with visceral obesity.
대학생들의 주별 신체활동량에 따른 건강관련 체력 및 우울 수준의 관계

The purpose of this study was to examine the association perceived health-related physical fitness and depressive levels according to weekly physical activity pattern among university students. Data were analyzed for 132 students who responded to self-reported base cross-sectional survey relating to socio-demographic variables, depressive assessment, short version of the IPAQ and a health-related physical fitness test. Prevalence rate of CES-D score of 21 more than according to weekly physical activity status showed that 73.9% at IAG, 26.1% at SAG. Prevalence rate of 20m shuttle run of average or over according to weekly physical activity status showed that 41.6% at IAG, 58.4% at SAG. In comparison with the cardiorespiratory endurance was significantly less likely SAG (multi-adjust model: OR, 0.22; 95% confidence interval [95% CI], 0.90-0.53; p<.05). In comparison with the depressive levels was significantly more likely SAG (multi-adjust model: OR, 3.68; 95% confidence interval [95% CI], 1.10-12.26; p<.05). The results revealed that health-related physical fitness and depressive levels correlates of weekly physical activity pattern. This finding suggest the necessity of developing specific strategies for physical activity intervention by health-related physical fitness and depressive among university students.

Micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) gyroscopes are widely used in various robot applications. However, these conventional gyroscopes need to vibrate the proof mass using a built-in actuator at a fixed resonance frequency to sense the Coriolis force. When a robot is not moving, the meaningless vibration of the gyroscope wastes power. In addition, this continuous vibration makes the sensor vulnerable to external sound waves with a frequency close to the proof-mass resonance frequency. In this paper, a feasibility study of a new type of gyroscope inspired by insect halteres is presented. In dipterous insects, halteres are a biological gyroscope that measures the Coriolis force. Wing muscles and halteres are mechanically linked, and the halteres oscillate simultaneously with wing beats. The vibrating haltere experiences the Coriolis force if the insect is going through a rotational motion. Inspired by this haltere structure, a gyroscope using a thin mast integrated with a robot actuation mechanism is proposed. The mast vibrates only when the robot is moving without requiring a separate actuator. The Coriolis force of the mast can be measured with an accelerometer installed at the tip of the mast. However, the signal from the accelerometer has multiple frequency components and also can be highly corrupted with noise, such that raw data are not meaningful. This paper also presents a suitable signal processing technique using the amplitude modulation method. The feasibility of the proposed haltere-inspired gyroscope is also experimentally evaluated.
걷기교실 참여가 과체중 여아의 신체활동량과 신체기능 및 보행기능에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of walking calss participation on physical activity and physical function and gait function in overweight girl. Sixteen overweight girl were assigned in walking calss group(n=8), and control group(n=8). The exercise program consisted of walking class program 60min/session, 3 days each week for 12 weeks. The results of this study were as follow: In body composition, weight(p<.01), body mass index(p<.01), percent fat(p<.01), and lean body mass(p<.05) had a statistically significant differences between the two groups. In daily physical activity and physical function and gait function, step count(p<.01), MVPA(p<.01), lower limb muscle strength(p<.05), maximal gait speed(p<.05), stance phase duration(p<.05), and Swing phase duration(p<.05) had a statistically significant differences between the two groups. These findings suggest that walking class program may represent an effective intervention strategy for body composition and daily physical activity and physical function and gait function. Finally, the effect of longer-term modifications of walking exercise program on regular physical activity.
2021년 하계와 동계의 광양만 해양수질 및 해저퇴적물 환경

본 연구지역인 광양만은 한반도 남해안 중앙부에 위치하는 반 폐쇄성만으로 동쪽은 노량해협을 통해 진주만과 연결되며, 북쪽으로는 서천, 동천, 수어천, 그리고 섬진강이 발달해있고, 남쪽 방향으로 여수해만과 연결되어 있다. 한편 광양만은 급속한 산업, 경제적인 발전과 늘어나는 인구로 인해 환경오염에 쉽게 노출되어 있으며, 생활하수 및 공단지역으로부터의 다양한 오폐수가 유입되기 쉬운 지리적 여건을 지니고 있다. 그래서 본 연구는 광양만 해역의 해양수질환경 및 해저퇴적물 환경을 파악하여 기초자료로 제공하고자 한다. 광양만 인근 해역의 12개 정점을 선정하여 2021년 02월 25일 동계, 2021년 7월 15일 하계에 걸쳐 조사를 실시하였다. 표층 해수는 고무 용질의 소형바스켓, 저층은 Van Dorn 채수기를 이용하여 채수하였고, 퇴적물은 Van Veen grab sampler로 채취하였다. 분석항목은 수온, 염분, 용존산소, 화학적산소요구량, 영양염류 등 13개의 항목이며, ‘해양환경공정시험기준(해양수산부, 2020)’에 준하여 분석을 실시하였다. 퇴적물 COD의 경우 일본수산 용수기준치를 적용하여 나타내었으며, 또한 주성분 분석을 실시하여 해역의 특성을 파악하였다. Gwangyang bay is a semi-closed sea area located in the center of the southern coast of the Korean Peninsula. And, the bay is easily exposed to environmental pollution due to rapid industrialization, economic development and increasing population, and has geographical conditions where various wastewater from living sewage and industrial complexes is easily introduced. Therefore, this study aims to identify the seawater quality environment and the sediment environment in Gwangyang bay. Twelve sites near Gwangyang bay were selected and investigated in winter on 02/25/2021 and summer on 15/7/2021 respectively. Surface seawater was collected using a rubber basket and a Van Dorn sampler, and sediments were collected using a van Veen grab sampler. The analysis items are 13 items including water temperature, salinty, DO, COD, and nutritious salts, and the analysis was conducted in accordance with the Marine Environment Processing Test Standard (The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, 2020). The results were analyzed by PCA(principal component analysis) to identify the characteristics of the sea area.
