N/A Background : There has been a concern about the incidence of the cutaneous premalignant and malignant tumors. It has increased recently and has varied according to social and environmental influence. Objective : The purpose of our study was to clarify the recent trends and malignant tumors, and to compare them with other reports. Methods : The 175 cases out of the total number of 34,333 ne cutaneous premalignant and malignant tumors from January, 1990 to Department of Dermatology, Yeungnam University Hospital. Incidence an distribution, and anatomical site were investigated. Result : 1. The incidence of cutaneous premalignant and malignant tumors was 0.51%, and increased lately. 2. Among the 175 cases of premalignant and malignant tumors, basal cell carcinoma(30.9%) was the most common, followed by squamous cell carcinoma(22.9%), actinic keratosis(12.6%), Bowen`s disease(10.9%). 3. The premalignant lesions were increased and outnumbered squamous cell carcinoma since 1996. 4. Basal cell carcinoma was the most common skin cancer comparison with squamous cell carcinoma. 5. Actinic keratosis, Bowen`s disease, basal cell carcinoma, aquamous cell carcinoma, malignant melanoma on sun exposed areas were much more increased than on non exposed areas. 6. The mean age of patients was 65.3±15.0 years, and the age of the majority of cases(94.3%) was over 40 years. 7. The ratio of male to female was 1.01 : 1. The number of females increased relatively in comparison with previous reports. 8. The most common site was the face(55.4%), followed by scalp(12.0%), trunk (12.0%).
변전소 전압안정화를 위한 STATCOM과 기존 조상 설비간의 지역 무효전력 협조제어에 관한 연구

Installation of FACTS(Flexible AC Transmission System) device can maximize utilization of existing power facilities and reliability of power system. STATCOM has excellent characteristics in operating cost, maintaining facilities, loss and so on. However, STATCOM has a disadvantage of facility cost over capacity. So it is effective to coordinate STATCOM and existing external bank(capacitor and reactor) and OLTC(On Load Tap Changer). This paper mainly proposes coordinative control method between STATCOM installed within substation and other reactive power resources including Shunt Reactors and Shunt Capacitors and OLTC for voltage stability improvement. The proposed coordinative control method is developed for the STATCOM of Mi-gum substation and the simulation results of EMTP/RV model show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
변전소의 커패시터 뱅크 투입방식에 따른 과도상태 해석모형 개발

전력 계통에 분로 커패시터 뱅크를 추가하면 역률개선, 전압조정 그리고 유효전력 수송능력 증대효과가 나타난다. 하지만 커패시터 뱅크 투입으로 인해 시스템의 고조파전압 및 전류가 발생하며 스위칭 장비, 민감부하 및 절연 시스템에 영향을 미친다. 이러한 과도성분에는 과전압, 돌입 전류 및 주파수가 있으며 커패시터 뱅크를 포함한 변전소 대상 계통을 구현하여 커패시터 투입 방식에 따라 크기 및 주파수 분석을 수행하였다. 충전된 단일 커패시터 뱅크의 투입, 이미 충전된 커패시터 뱅크가 있는 접점에 또 다른 커패시터 뱅크의 투입(back-to-back switching) 및 2기 이상의 커패시터 뱅크의 복합 투입 방식을 고려하여 EMTP/RV 시뮬레이션을 통해 과도 스위칭 현상을 분석하였다.

This paper proposes coordinative control method between STATCOM installed within substation and other reactive power resources including Shunt Reactors and Shunt Capacitors and OLTC. Voltage/Reactive power control has various difficult aspects to control because of analysis and system dynamics error. This coordinative control method suggests practical algorithm regarding system voltage and reactive power status which is easy to implement in substation basis. In normal status, STATCOM-Shunts-OLTC are in operation. The proposed algorithm is tested and verified in EMTP/RV. And this is expected to be applied to control multiple reactive power devices combined with SCADA/EMS system.
345㎸ 미금 변전소 외부 계통의 등가축약 기법을 이용한 EMTP 모델링에 관한 연구

EMTP-RV is the very powerful program to analyze the dynamic operation of the power system. To use this package in the large complex power system, it is very important to simplify the power system to simple equivalent network. In our study the 100 MVA STATCOM is placed at 345㎸ "MIGUM" which is the one of the 345㎸ substations of the Korean Electric Power System that is consist of more than 1000 bus. MIGUM substation is connected with 7 separated transmission lines to main Korean Electric power system. We developed a new method to simplify the network except the substation that we want to analysis. The power system outside the 345㎸ substation is modeled into the equivalent network. The loop network outside the substation can be modeled to simplified Thevenin equivalent network. The proposed method is applied to IEEE-14 Reliability Test System and the results shows the effectiveness of the method.

Background: Axillary osmidrosis is a distressing and uncomfortable condition that can be a serious handicap in a person`s personal and social life. There are many different surgical methods to treat axillary osmidrosis. However, they have caused frequently marked complications. Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of ultrasonic surgical aspiration for the treatment of axillary osmidrosis. Methods: From January 2007 to September 2008, a total of 62 patients was treated for axillary osmidrosis using ultrasonic surgical aspiration. Results: Fifty-three (85.4%) patients had excellent to good results. Postoperative complications were seen in 5 (4.1%) patients out of 124 axillae. All of them were hematoma. The axillary scars are small and nearly negligible. The average recovery period was 5 days. Conclusion: Ultrasonic surgical aspiration displayed satisfactory therapeutic efficacy. This operation has many advantages with a high success rate, small and short scars, a low complication rate and a rapid recovery period. (Korean J Dermatol 2010;48(5):395~401)
투자비용과 전기요금을 반영한 수용가 BESS의 최적용량 산정

This study presents the estimation method for the optimal capacity of BESS(Battery Energy Storage System) in order to reduce the electric charges of common consumer. The daily optimal charge and discharge plan of BESS which satisfies the given constraints is established using linear programming through the change of rated output/rated capacity of the time that shows the electric charges in the highest reduced rate has been selected. There will be a problem to compare only reduced rate because the bigger the rated capacity, the more reduced rate is increased. Therefore, rated output/rated capacity of the time when the reduced amount of electric charges for a year is higher than the investment cost of BESS was selected.
