DCT기반 압축기법에 의해 부호화된 영상은 양자화에 의한 여러 가지 화질열화요소가 포함되는데, 그중 인간 시각에 민감한 대비 왜곡은 화질 열화 요인으로서 가장 중요한 요인이다. 특히 저비트율에서 부호화된 영상의 경우 많은 고주파 성분이 양자화에 의하여 손실되기 때문에 좋은 화질을 갖는 영상을 복원할 수 없을 것이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 대비 왜곡을 포함하고 있는 부호화된 영상에 대해 DCT영역에서 대비를 개선시키는 새로운 알고리즘을 제안한다. 대비왜곡은 외곽선 주변에서 심하게 나타나기 때문에 DCT블록의 외곽선 포함 정도를 판단하여 문턱치보다 큰 블록은 다시 4개의 부블록으로 나누어 적용된다. 제안되는 방법은 모든 연산이 DCT 영역에서 수행되기 때문에 실시간 처리 응용분야에 적용될 수 있을 것이다. Images coded by DCT based compression contain several quality degradations by quantization process. Among them contrast distortion is the important one because human eyes are sensitive to contrast. In case of low bit-rate coded image, we can not get an image having good quality due to quantization error. In this paper, we suggest a new scheme to enhance image's contrast in DCT domain. Proposed method enhances only edge regions. Homogeneous regions are not considered in this method. $8{\times}8$ DCT coefficient blocks are decomposed to $4{\times}4$ sub-blocks for detail edge region discrimination. we could apply this scheme to real-time application because proposed scheme is DCT based method.

Lactoferrin is a multifunctional protein that is found in milk, neutrophils, and other biological fluids, and its receptors have also been identified in the central nervous system. Recently, it was reported that bovine milk-derived lactoferrin (BLF) produced analgesia via a μ-opioid receptor-mediated response in the spinal cord. However the precise mechanism of this analgesic effect is remains unclear. In Randall-Selitto paw pressure study, each single administration of morphine (10 mg/kg) and BLF (50, 100 and 200 mg/kg) induced analgesia, however, NMDA receptor antagonist MK-801 (0.1, 0.2 and 0.3 mg/kg), inhibited analgesia induced by BLF(100mg/kg). Intracerebroventricular infusion (I.C.V) of N-methyl-D-aspartic acid (NMDA) (0.3 μg/8.0 μl/hr/day), as a NMDA receptor agonist, reversed inhibition of MK-801 (0.3mg/kg) on analgesia induced by BLF (100mg/kg). These results suggest that BLF have analgesic effect, through NMDA receptor activation.

The purpose of this study was to examine the potentiality of urban forest roads as an environment for enhancing physical fitness. Six male university students participated in the study as subjects. The subjects walked on an urban forest road for 30 minutes. As a control experiment, they also walked on a national park trail for 30 minutes. Subjects’ heart rates were monitored during the walks to calculate the ratio of the average time their heart rates were within the target range (from 60% to 80% of the maximal heart rate) for Enhancing Physical Fitness. After the walks, images of the spaces were analyzed using the semantic differential (SD) method. During the walk on the urban forest road, subjects’ heart rates were within the target range 63.3% of the time, and lower than the target range 36.7% of the time. During the control experiment on the national park trail, subjects’ heart rates were within the target range only 23.3% of the time, and higher than the target range 76.7% of the time. From the spatial perception evaluation using the SD method, subjects’ comfortable and natural feelings when they were on the national park trail were significantly greater than when they were on the urban forest trail, but there were no differences in terms of other SD descriptors, such as friendliness and likeability. The results of our study indicate that the urban forest road provides a good environment for walking to enhance physical fitness. Although not as close to nature as national park trails, urban forest roads offer similar natural environments and have a high potentiality for serving as leisure spaces for urban residents who seek physical activities.

This paper presents models for the dynamic simulation of a regenerative gas turbine and describes dynamic behaviors of a small regenerative engine. A quasi-steady model is introduced where the inertia of the working fluid is assumed to be negligible compared with the mechanical inertia of the rotating shaft. Based on this quasi-steady model, the transient model for the heat exchanger is employed to simulate the unsteady heat exchange in the recuperator. The effect of the thermal inertia of the recuperator metal on transient behaviors is analyzed by comparing the predicted results of the transient and steady state heat exchanger models. For several load change modes such as sudden increase, decrease and periodic variation, engine dynamic characteristics are investigated by applying a fuel control logic for the constant shaft speed. It is found that the thermal inertia of the recuperator metal has a dominant effect on the whole engine dynamic behavior.

This study is to analyze location conditions for erosion control dams to be constructed in Chungcheongnam-do, Daejeon Metropolitan City, Chungcheongbuk-do and Gyeongsangbuk-do in order to establish proper conditions for erosion control dams in the future. 199 sites where erosion control dams are expected to be built in 2010 were chosen and investigated in terms of 12 factors including basin area, basin slope, and landslide risk. The results showed that erosion control dams for Chungcheongnam-do and Daejeon Metropolitan City are mostly impermeable gravity dams mainly composed of concrete. In contrast, Chungcheongbuk-do and Gyeongsangbuk-do are increasing the number of permeable or compound erosion control dams. Basin analysis at planned erosion control dam sites showed that at least 44.5% of the total area has high landslide risk. Gyeongsangbuk-do had the largest basin area for erosion control dam sites at 157.3ha, followed by Chungcheongbuk-do at 64.4ha and Chungcheongnam-do at 54.8ha. Analysis of sand deposits in the Chungcheongnam-do erosion control dam built in 2010 confirmed an average deposit of 971.8m3. The sand deposit capacity and amount of sediment control for erosion control dams have a very low correlation with basin area or flow path slope, and this needs to be addressed in future sand deposit capacity designs.

Morphine has been used widely on the treatment of many types of chronic pain. However the development of tolerance to morphine by repeat application is a major problem in pain therapy: The purpose of the present study was to investigate whether combined administration of nalbuphine with morphine affects the development of tolerance to and dependence on morphine. We hypothesize that the use of nalbuphine, k-agonist may prove to be useful adjunct therapy to prevent morphine-induced undesirable effects in the management of some forms of chronic pain. Morphine (10 mg/kg) was injected to rats intraperitoneally for 5 days. The variable dose of nalbuphine (0.1,1.0 and 5.0 mg/kg) was administered (I.p.) in combination with morphine injection. The development of tolerance to morphine was assessed by measuring the antinociceptive effect with the Randall-Selitto apparatus. The development of dependence on morphine was determined by the scoring the precipitated withdrawal signs for 20 min after injection of naloxone (10 mg/kg,I.p.). Nalbuphine did not attenuate antinociceptive effect of mofhine in rats. Interesting1y; combined administration of morphine with nalbuphine (100:1) sign- nifcantly attenuated the development of morphine tolerance and dependence. These results suggest that the co-admin-istration of nalbuphine with morphine in chronic morphine treatment can be one of therapies to reduce the development of dependence on morphine.
