        체육계열 대학생들의 특수체육 교과수업 체험 연구

        본 연구는 체육계열 대학생들의 특수체육 교과수업을 하나의 사례로 정하여, 수업의 구성과 운영방식을 살펴보고, 수강 후 느끼는 점과 변화되는 점을 분석하여 체육 계열 대학생들의 특수체육 수업 수강의 필요성을 피력하고, 보다 효과적인 특수체육 교과 과목의 수업 운영에 대한 유용한 정보를 제공하고자 실시되었다. 연구제보자는 서울 소재 Y대학교에서 2010년 1학기에 개설된 전공 선택 수업인 특수체육 교과 수업을 수강하는 체육계열 대학생 6명으로 선정하였다. 특수체육 교과 수업에 대한 인식과 체험에 대해 심층적으로 분석하기 위해 사례연구를 적용하였고, 그 중 문헌조사, 참여관찰, 심층면담, 수업후기(실습후기 및 봉사후기) 등을 통해 자료수집이 이루어졌다, 그 결과 체육계열 대학생들은 이론과 실습, 봉사활동, 토론 수업으로 구성된 특수체육 수업을 통해 다양한 체험, 깨달음과 반성을 얻을 수 있었다, 또한, 교과수업 후에 장애에 대한 인식의 변화가 있었고, 이는 장애아동의 신체활동 그리고 교육가능성에 대한 인식에도 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다, 특수체육 교과수업을 통한 이러한 인식들이 실제 통합체육 교육 현장의 발전을 가져 올 수 있지 않을까 기대해보며, 앞으로도 이상적인 특수체육 교과 수업 개설 및 운영에 관한 기초자료를 제공하는 실행연구가 계속되어져야 할 것이다. The purpose of study were to propose the need for adapted physical activity curriculum and to provide useful information about effective adapted physical activity curriculum by analyzing perception of university students majoring physical education. This research was conducted as a case study using qualitative methodology and the data were collected from documents, in-depth interview, observation and reviews of curriculum. As a result, there were changes of perception about disabled person for students majoring physical education. In addition, it caused changes of perception about physical activity among children with disability. The findings are expected in improvement of current integrated physical education and further study needs to provide effective strategy for curriculum.

        노인 근력 특성 및 체성분과의 관계

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship among isometric and isokinetic muscle strength, lean body mass(LBM) and bone mineral density(BMD) in the elderly. Eleven males(age, 70.27±5.78yr; height, 167.36±6.68 cm; weight, 68.34±8.23 kg) and thirteen female(age, 69.77±4.13yr; height, 152.80±4.45 cm; weight, 56.86±7.40 kg) participated in this study. In all subjects, LBM and BMD segments was measured by using Dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry(DEXA, Lunar DPS-DM, U.S.A.). Maximum isometric and isokinetic muscle strength of flexion and extension at the knee and elbow, ankle, trunk joints were measured by using an isokinetic dynamometer(CON-TREX(R) Multi Joint Testing Module, Switzerland). The results of this study showed that isometric and isokinetic muscle strength was significantly higher in extension than flexion. In the male and female, hamstring to quadriceps strength ratio(H:Q ratio) was increased as contraction velocity increased. BMD was correlated significantly with trunk extension in the male, but not in the female. LBM was correlated significantly in the male and female with knee extension strength. This study suggests that in the elderly muscle strength training program should put more weight on extensor muscles of the body.

        젖산의 이해

        과거에 젖산은 산소 부족으로 인해 근육과 혈액에 축적되어 조직을 손상시키며 피로를 유발한다고 알려져 왔다. 또한, 생성된 젖산은 운동 후 회복기에 글라이코젠 재합성을 위한 초과 산소 소비(산소 부채, oxygen debt)의 원인이 된다고 알려져 왔다. 하지만, 동물과 사람을 대상으로 한 선행연구를 통해 젖산이 휴식과 운동중에 에너지 요구량이 증가할 때, 적절히 에너지를 공급하여 세포 내 ATP의 농도를 정상 수치로 일정하게 유지시키는 중요한 대사물질이라는 것을 알게 되었다. 젖산은 생성된 세포 내에서 이용(세포 내 젖산 셔틀, intracellular lactate shuttle)되거나 세포간질 또는 혈관을 통해 멀리 떨어진 다른 세포로 전달되어 이용(세포 간 젖산 셔틀, cell-cell lactate shuttle)된다. 이러한 젖산 셔틀(lactate shuttle)을 통해 알 수 있듯이 젖산은 휴식과 운동 중, 운동 후 회복 시에 해당작용과 산화적 인산화 과정을 연결하는 중간 매개물질이며 글루코스 신생합성의 전구체이다. 따라서 본 연구는 휴식과 운동 중에 젖산의 생리적 기능 변화 과정과 세포간, 세포 내 젖산 셔틀, 젖산의 임상적 활용에 대한 선행 연구를 고찰함으로써 젖산대사에 대한 최신 지견을 파악하고 그 이해도를 높이는데 그 목적이 있다. Lactate was considered a dead-end waste product of glycolysis due to lack of oxygen. Accumulating lactate in the muscle and blood was viewed only as a major cause of muscle fatigue and tissue damage. Furthermore, buildup of lactate due to glycogen re-synthesis is thought to cause excess oxygen consumption (oxygen debt) after exercise. However, research has also shown lactate to be an important mediator in numerous metabolic processes and a fuel for aerobic metabolism. Lactate is not metabolic waste, but a major player in cellular and whole body metabolism. Lactate can be used within the cell (intracellular lactate shuttle) or be transported through the cytoplasm or blood to be used by other cells (cell-cell lactate shuttle). Lactate shuttle hypothesis has helped in identifying and understanding the link between the glyoclyic and oxidative pathways, and identified lactate as a major energy source and gluconeogenic precursor. Therefore, the purpose of this review was to better understand the physiological roles of lactate at rest and during exercise, and the concept of lactate shuttle with implications for clinical practice.

        건강예측 요인으로서의 안정시심박수의 가치와 의미

        PURPOSE: Resting heart rate[RHR] is a simple, inexpensive, non-invasive, and ubiquitously collected vital sign. Further, heart rate information is now more readily accessible to the general population due to the popularity of wearable devices, capable of measuring RHR. Purpose of the current review paper are to summarize 1) literature which report associations between RHR and health outcomes, and 2) to suggest the use of RHR as a new health indicator METHODS: We performed a search, including reviews and original papers, on the PubMed and Korean Information Service System (KISS) electronic databases of articles assessing the association between RHR and the risk and prognosis of diseases. For our search strategy, we used combinations of the following key terms: resting heart rate, cardiovascular disease, hypertension and cancer. RESULTS: RHR’s prognostic value as a marker of general health, has received considerable attention recently. Studies have consistently shown clear associations of elevated RHR with cardiovascular disease [CVD], type 2 diabetes, and even cancer [prevalence, incidence and mortality]. Due to strong association between RHR and health outcomes, RHR may be used as a preliminary health indicator, to detect undiagnosed cardiometabolic diseases and cancer. However, it is still unclear whether elevated RHR is one of the risk markers or risk factors in diseases of our interest. Factors associated with RHR include aerobic fitness, physical activity, body mass, smoking, drinking, sleep duration, and stress. Changing these modifiable lifestyle components coincide with general health recommendations, which would improve one’s health. CONCLUSIONS: RHR may reflect disease risk and changes lifestyles which may affect health outcomes. Therefore, due to the ease of measurement, lowering RHR may be a new target for better health.

        비만 아동의 통합적 캠프와 사후관리가 비만도 체력 및 심혈관 질환 위험요인에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of a multidisciplinary camp on body composition, physical fitness, and cardiovascular disease risk factors in obese children. A total of 107 children(age: 12.0±0.84, BMI: 25.96±3.08 kg/m2) participated in the multidisciplinary camp program, of which 42 children returned for 12 week follow-up. The camp program included physical activities(1500 kcal/day), controlled nutrition consumption(2000 kcal/day), education program and behavior modification. After the camp, children were instructed to continue physical activities and diet using self-management skills learned from the behavior modification in the camp. The result showed that significant reduction in BMI, waist circumference, percent body fat, blood pressure, insulin, insulin resistance, total cholesterol, triglycerides while HDL-cholesterol levels and physical fitness were improved after one week of multidisciplinary camp. Improvement in percent body fat, blood pressure, insulin, insulin resistance, total cholesterol, and HDL-cholesterol were not maintained after the 12-week follow-up period while improvement in body mass index, waist circumference, triglycerides, and physical fitness were maintained. These findings suggest that short-term intense multi-disciplinary lifestyle modification camp had beneficial effects on body composition, physical fitness, and CVD risk factors in obese children. Further investigations are need to identify key factors influencing long-term lifestyle modification.

        우리나라 유아의 신체활동과 좌식행동에 대한 고찰

        유아들의 신체활동과 좌식행동에 관한 관심이 높아지고 있지만, 국내 연구는 미흡한 실정이다. 본 연구는 최근 우리나라 유아와 관련된 신체활동 및 좌식행동에 관한 문헌을 체계적으로 고찰하고, 연구의 특징과 그 결과를 종합 정리하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 그 결과, 신체활동을 연구한 국내외 연구는 총 14편, 좌식행동/좌식시간을 연구한 국내외 연구는 총 네 편으로 정리되었다. 신체활동과 좌식행동을 조사하는 방법은 크게 두 가지로, 활동 측정기기(예. 보수계, 가속도계 등)와 관찰법을 이용한 직접 측정법과 학부모 또는 보호자가 기입하는 설문지를 이용한 간접 측정법으로 나타났다. 하루 평균 걸음 수로 살펴본 우리나라 유아의 신체활동량은 약 6,000보 내외로 조사되었으며, 우리나라 만 4세의 하루 평균 TV 시청 시간은 1.36시간으로 조사되었다. 하루 24시간의 활동은 크게 신체활동, 좌식행동과 수면으로 이루어지며, 유아들의 활동 조사를 위한 도구의 개발 및 연구가 필요하다. 나아가 유아의 신체활동 및 좌식행동의 독립적 그리고 상호적인 관계를 알아보는 것은 유아의 신체적, 정신적, 사회적 건강을 향상시키기 위해 매우 중요하다. The purpose of this study was to review and summarize the characteristics and results of physical activity and sedentary behavior studies among young children in Korea. Studies on physical activity, sedentary behavior of young children in Korea were searched using academic search engines. A total of 14 studies for physical activity and four studies for sedentary behavior were identified. There were two methods of assessing physical activity and sedentary behavior. One was a direct measurement using activity devices(e.g. accelerometer, pedometer) and observation, and the other was an indirect measurement using a questionnaire filled out by parents or guardians. The level of physical activity of young children was estimated at around 6,000 steps per day, and the average TV viewing time was 1.36 hours per day. It is important to develop and research measuring tools for young children’s physical activity and sedentary behaviors. Furthermore, examining the association between physical activity and sedentary behavior is needed in future research to improve physical, psychological and social health among young children in Korea.

        한국 여자 청소년의 조기성숙과 비만에 따른 학교 스포츠클럽 참여와 좌식행동과의 관계

        The purposes of this study were to examine associations between precocious puberty and obesity with participation in school-based organized sports and sedentary behavior among South Korean adolescent girls. Data from a population sample of 68,429 South Korean adolescent girls (12-18 years) who participated in 2014-15 Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-based Surveys were analyzed using hierarchical multivariate logistic regression analysis. Results are expressed as odds ratio (OR) and 95% confidence intervals (95% CIs). Precocious puberty was associated with obesity. BMI moderated the associations between (1) precocious puberty and participation in organized sports (OR=1.10, 95% CI: 1.02-1.20), (2) precocious puberty and sedentary behavior (OR= 1.08, 95% CI: 1.01-1.15), and (3) precocious puberty and internet use (OR=1.22, 95% CI: 1.12-1.33). Developing structured physical activity programs in a school setting and limiting recreational sedentary behavior and internet use should be targeted by different levels of pubertal development and weight status.
