In response to growing social needs for conserving the global environment, a hybrid vehicle has been developed. Unlike conventional vehicles hybrid vehicles require special brake system. It is a brake system that has cooperative control with regenerative brake and hydraulic brake. This paper describes the system structure and techniques to achieve safety and comfort.

Needs of high performance brake system have strongly required for a long time because of increase of engine power and customer’s favorites etc. To solve these problems, a novel brake system was proposed using carbon ceramic composite. Also, a novel coupling structure between carbon ceramic composite and HAT was proposed using the substance-field model analysis and pugh matrix. The superiorities of developed brake system were verified via SiC, Si, C control, endurance, friction and fade analysis.

Luxury car industry recently increased to 10.5% per every year. For this reason, it is very important issue for motor company to improve profitability and value of brand. Therefore, needs of high performance brake system have strongly required because of increase of engine power and customer’s favorites etc. Also, competitive motor companies actively reinforce domestic production in order to maintain quality and infra for luxury car. In this situation, we will show you the new carbon ceramic brake to improve brake reliability for luxury car and to compete competitors. Finally, we will propose future braking technology through technology evolution trend prediction.
