50여년에 이르는 우리나라 산업역사에 있어, 산업시설은 그 시대의 존재가치와 기능을 대표하는 유산적인 의미를 가진다. 그 중 근대기에 건설되었던 폐간이역은 교통과 통신이 발달되지 않았던 근대기의 신(新)문화가 전국으로 유입되고 지방의 독특한 문화가 각지로 알려지게 하는 출입구의 역할을 수행하였다. 또 폐간이역은 도시지역 뿐만 아니라 광산·항구·농촌지역 등에 다양하게 분포하며, 해당 지역의 다양한 기능적 중심 역할을 담당해왔다는 점에서 중요한 가치를 지닌다. 이에 본 연구는 전국에 현존하는 폐간이역 및 주변부를 대상으로, 지역 산업유산으로서의 보유하고 있는 특성 발굴과 폐간이역의 재활용을 통한 지역재생의 실마리 도출을 연구의 기본 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 3단계의 연구 과정을 거친다. 1단계에서는 산업유산으로서 폐간이역의 가치 및 개념을 문헌연구를 통해 정립한다. 2단계에서는 보존가치가 있는 전국 폐간이역에 대한 현장조사를 통해 폐간이역이 처해있는 현재 조건을 분석한다. 3단계에서는 1, 2단계의 결과를 바탕으로 폐간이역의 패턴(공간, 기능, 경관 차원)에 대한 유형화와 폐간이역이 보유하고 있는 산업유산관점에서의 가치를 정립하고 특성을 도출한다. Throughout the last five decades of our industrial history, industrial facilities have served as a legacy that represents the value and function in contemporary times. Among them is the abandoned whistle stops that played the role of a gateway, through which new cultures of modern times were introduced while unique cultures of different provinces were spread across the county. In addition, the abandoned whistle stops have a significant value in that it was installed in various rural areas throughout the country, including mining, port and agricultural areas as well as urban areas, serving as a center of each corresponding area that performs multiple functions. Against this backdrop, this study is trying, as its primary purpose, to excavate the characteristics of abandoned whistle stops as well as their vicinities that still exist around the country as regional industrial heritages and to come up with clues to reinvigorate regional vitality through the reuse of abandoned whistle stops. For this, this study conducts a three-step research. The first step is to investigate into the value and concept of the abandoned whistle stops as an industrial heritage through document researches. As the second step, it analyzes the current status and condition of nationwide abandoned whistle stops worthy of conservation through on-site examinations. In the third step, this study re-establishes the existing value of abandoned whistle stops from the perspective of industrial heritage while extracting their unique characteristics by classifying the patterns (space, function and scenery) of them.

Vascular plants of Yeonhwasan Mt., located in Taebaek-si, Gangwon-do, were investigated. Field surveys were conducted fourteen times between April and September of 2022. A total of 505 taxa were found consisting of 87 families, 282 genera, 441 species, 15 subspecies, 41 varieties, and 8 forma. Among them, the endemic plants of Korea were 22 taxa. The number of threatened and near threatened Red List plants designated by the Korean National Arboretum was four, comprising each one of critically endangered (CN), endangered (EN), vulnerable (VU), and near threatened (NT) species. The number of floristic target plants designated by the Ministry of Environment was 102, including one taxon of level V, 9 taxa of level IV, and 34 taxa of level III. Invasive alien plants were 34 taxa, and three taxa were ecosystem disturbance plants. The urbanization index of investigated site was 12.8%, and the naturalization index was 6.7%. To wisely manage Yeonhwasan, measures for preserving biodiversity and preventing invasive plants are needed.

철도교통 관련 산업유산의 재활용을 통한 지역재생 방법론

철도교통시설은 급속히 증가하고 있는 폐철도교통시설의 양에 비해 대규모 단위시설이나 집합형의 시설군을 이루지 못하고, 선과 점의 형상을 기본으로 하는 지원형 시설이라는 한계 때문에 산업유산으로서의 가치 인식은 타산업유산에 비해 늦은 편이다. 이러한 관점 속에서 본 연구는 철도교통 관련 산업유산의 재활용 과정에서 고려되어야 할 원칙과 방법을 분석하고, 이와 관련된 지역재생 시스템의 도출을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 산업유산의 재활용과 관련된 지역재생 시스템의 일반론(3단계)을 가설로 설정하고, 국내 · 외 사례분석과 고찰을 통해 이를 검증한다. 최종적으로 철도교통의 특성이 반영된 지역재생 시스템(4단계)을 재정립한다. 이 과정 속에서 도출한 핵심적 시사점은 철도교통관련 산업유산의 영역(철도역 공간, 이동 공간, 지원 공간, 지역 환경)에 따라 철도만의 특성(공간, 기능, 심상적 가치)이 반영된 지역밀착형 접근과 지역사회와 환경을 고려한 장기 · 점진적 재활용과정이 이루어져야 한다는 것이다. 또한 상보적 관계 속에서 관련 주체들 간의 자발적인 참여를 통한 유지 · 관리가 지속될 때 지역재생의 효과가 발생한다는 점이다. This study begins with the problem of perception on our environment and the need to develop systematic methods to reuse railroad transport related industrial facilities that are rapidly becoming dilapidated. The purpose of the study is to formulate the principles and methods that should be considered in the course of developing ways to reuse our railroad transport related industrial heritage and in so doing regenerate regions. In order to achieve the purposes of the study, there is a need to formulate a general theory(3 phases) for systematic regional regeneration related to the reuse of the industrial heritage in Korea and examines this issue through the analysis and examination of domestic and international cases. Finally, this develops and establishes a regional regeneration system(4 phases) that reflects and utilizes the features of railroad transport. The suggestions put forward in this process are as follows: differentiated approaches should be applied to areas containing railroad transport facilities that are related to the industrial heritage(railroad station spaces, spaces for conveyance, supporting spaces and the local environment) so that these facilities can be fully reused in a manner that promotes a locality by reflecting the unique features of railroad transport(space, function and concept).
