        피부 노화의 선평가 지표 개발 및 그에 따른 칠엽담 지페노사이드 분획물 함유 크림의 피부 내부 노화 개선 효과

        연령이 증가함에 따라 피부 내부에서는 콜라겐의 합성 능력이 떨어지고 탄력섬유의 손상 및 matrix metalloproteinase (MMPs) 발현이 증가한다. 본 연구의 목적은 눈가에 주름이 형성되기 전에 연령이 증가할수록 피부 내부에서 피부 노화의 징후가 관찰된다는 것을 확인하고, 피부 내부에서 먼저 발생하는 노화의 징후가 칠엽담 지페노사이드 분획물 함유 크림(칠엽담 지페노사이드 크림)의 효능으로 인해 개선되는 것을 확인하는 데 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 육안으로 눈가에 주름이 관찰되지 않는 21 ∼ 34세의 한국 여성 52명을 대상으로 임상 시험을 수행하였다. 이들에게서 연령이 증가함에 따라 피부 외부의 노화 징후가 관찰되지는 않지만 피부 내부에서 노화의 징후가 시작되는 시점을 진피치밀도 측정을 통해 확인하였다. 그리고 육안으로 주름이 관찰되지는 않았지만, 진피치밀도가 감소하는 연령대에서 칠엽담 지페노사이드 크림을 4주 및 8주 사용한 후에 진피치밀도 값이 유의하게 증가함을 확인하였다. 따라서 칠엽담 지페노사이드 크림이 피부 내부에서 먼저 진행되는 노화를 효과적으로 개선하는데 도움을 주며, 이 결과를 토대로 칠엽담 지페노사이드 분획물이 향후 주름 개선 기능성 화장품 개발에 활용하기 적합하다고 판단된다. The human skins had a lot of changes as aging. The synthesis of collagens and elastic fibers were reduced and the expression of matrix metalloproteinase (MMPs) was increased in the dermis. These changes have been known to be responsible for skin wrinkle formation. In this study, we tried to develop pre-indicator of inner skin aging, and investigated the effect of the cream product containing Gynostemma pentaphyllum gypenoside fraction (Gynostemma pentaphyllum gypenoside cream). 21 ∼ 34 years old 52 Korean female volunteers without crow’s feet were chosen for this clinical study. The starting point of inner skin aging was confirmed through dermal density measurement, even though outside skin wrinkles were not observed. In addition, 4 and 8 weeks treatment of G. pentaphyllum gypenoside cream significantly increased age-related reduction of dermal density. These results suggest that the evaluation of dermal density can be used as pre-indicator of skin aging. Furthermore, G. pentaphyllum gypenoside fraction is a potential anti- wrinkle agent for prevention and treatment of skin aging.

A research paper commonly consists of introduction, review of literature, body, and conclusion. Through all these parts, a research paper should have its thesis and the writer's clear Position based on selected references. A research paper also includes bibliography and abstract. This paper is written as an exemplary model of a research paper for its form and content.

        Many methods of foreign/second language teaching were developed in the past. However, there is no one method of language teaching to suit all circumstances. Accordingly, a method can be more effective if the best ideas from other methods are assimilated. It is because the method should suit the teachers, the students, and other classroom environments. In fact, the integrated method is always used, with such ideas stated above and realities. The rationale of integration is discussed based on the language teaching theories and reality in Korean schools. All theories support the idea of integration. Students, teachers, and other factors in reality also support the idea of integration.

      • 학술적 영문작법 지도를 위한 제안

        This paper is a proposal for developing a writing textbook of academic English. The paper will include writing a paragraph, writing an essay, and writing a research paper with various references and the author's previous research papers regarding English writing. After the introductory chapter, chapter two, writing a paragraph, mentions definition of a paragraph and principles of writing a paragraph. Specifically, chapter two discusses the concept of general/specific, simplicity/clarity, unity, and coherence of a paragraph as an essay. Chapter three, writing an essay, states a longer essay of many paragraphs. It defines an introductory paragraph with a thesis statement, body, and a concluding paragraph. It also classifies discourse into four main sections; narration, description, exposition, and argumentation. Chapter four, writing a research paper, deals with definition and structure of a research paper with more detailed components; quotations, references, punctuations, and mechanics. As conclusion, chapter five emphasizes the need of teaching academic writing of English to university learners of English with syntheses of the paper contents.

        The purpose of this article is to suggest a method of training graduate students majoring in English Education for their writing of research papers through writing English prose. In the process of teaching writing prose, simplicity and clarity of sentence writing; unity, cohesion, and coherence of paragraph/essay writing are emphatically discussed. Furthermore, technical elements such as elements of a research paper, a proposal, an abstract, a review of literature and other mechanics are mentioned and illustrated. It is concluded that writing research papers is accomplished by training in the process of logical thinking. Therefore, through training in rhetorical and logical writing of English prose, writing an academically required research paper can be accomplished.

Language teaching is not only teaching language per se but teaching culture and thought-process.

        Language includes phonological, syntactic, and semantic features. That is, language consists of listening, speaking, reading, and writing plus rules and culture. When children acquire their native language, they acquire all these skills intuitively, subconsciously, and simultaneously. Therefore, language education should include all these features. In teaching English in Korea, listening, speaking ,reading, writing, grammar, and culture of English should be taught simultaneously as a whole language. Language learning is developing the learners' thoughts rather than simply learning one or two skills of language.
