Vol.11 No.4
In the 21st century Korean society, following the popularization of performance culture, forms of creative ballet are becoming. he <Hard Nut>, which uses familiar classical music to gain popularity, is one of the works that are steadily receiving the attention of the public even if when the form of choreography changed. choreographer in Modern Ballet Mark Morris, who paraded the traditional ballet, visualized the music and dance movements in <Hard Nut>, motivated by the sympathy of children"s fantasy. This study examines the correspondence between music and dance movements through articulation of snowflake dance among Mark Morris" Nutcracker. As a result, it is found that the elements composed in the extended concept of articulation, such as volume of the sound and tempo, are shown similar in the ballet movement composition/movement. When music and dance movements are matched through articulation, dancers can accurately express the connecting movements and facilitate emotional expression. Choreographers also have the potential to develop a wide variety of movements to produce a complete work. Through this study, I hope researches of musical/dance articulation to be continued in various projects. And I also look forward to seeing that <Hard Nut> will be re-created adopting corresponding articulation of music and dance movement, for a high quality contemporary ballet in South Korea.

Stage lighting plays a significant role in drawing out the mood and images that are intended by the choreographer. It is related to the dancers movements and affects them both directly and indirectly. This study is on a reciprocal relationship between dance choreography and stage lighting, covering a broad range of functional factors of lighting effects on the dance choreography. Also, the data on preferred lighting colours and their frequency of usage are gathered through surveys by lighting specialists. The data is used to identify the lighting colour in general dance choreography. It is collected to serve the purpose of providing opportunities to acknowledge the needs of various colour changes on the stage. It is hoped that a collaboration of studies related in this subject are continuously promoted and researched in producing high quality dance performances.
