        정찰 소형무인기용 20cc급 왕복엔진 개조 개발

        Due to small and light mission payloads, subsystems and propulsion system, small sized UAVs come to be available for reconnaissance that have been performed by aircraft and huge UAVs. The objective of this study is to develop an efficient propulsion system for small reconnaissance UAVs. A glow engine was modified for an efficient and robust 4-stroke gasoline engine with carburetor, new electronic control unit and lubrication system. Engine modification technique and small engine performance test stand are capable of economical method for military UAVs.

        Macrophages로부터 IL-1β 분비 및 전사에 있어서 한국산 겨우살이 추출물 M11C (non-lectin components)의 효과

        Background: Korean mistletoe (Viscum album) extract has been found to posses immunostimulatory activity. In this study, Korean mistletoe extract, M11C (non-lectin components), was used to know whether this extract might activate mouse peritoneal macrophages to produce interleukin $1{\beta}$ (IL-$1{\beta}$). Methods: Hemagglutination assay was carried out to examine whether M11C contained a lectin or not. To know the effect of M11C on the production of IL-$1{\beta}$, the macrophages were treated by the M11C, and then collected the supernatant (M11C stimulated macrophages-conditioned media; MMCM). MMCM was analyzed for the IL-$1{\beta}$ quantification and mRNA expression by means of ELISA and RT-PCR, respectively. Results: Maximum effective dose and time of M11C on IL-$1{\beta}$ production from macrophages were $20{\mu}g/m{\ell}$ and 8 hours, respectively. This ELISA data was reconfirmed by immunoblotting assay. indicating that M11C is a good candidate for an immunomodulator. The dose and time dependent effects of M11C on the expression of IL-$1{\beta}$ mRNA from macrophages was also shown in expression of mRNA detected by RT-PCR. Treatment dose and time for the maximum expression of IL-$1{\beta}$ mRNA were $20{\mu}g/m{\ell}$ and 4 hours, respectively. Maximum gene expression of IL-$1{\beta}$ was much earlier than maximum production of it. Conclusion: As results, Korean mistletoe extract, M11C, may be used for an immunomodulator. This will be able to make up for and solve the problems caused by existent immunoagent with many adverse effects through many other studies in future including one molecule extraction.

        모바일용 플라스틱 경통 금형의 구조해석에 관한 연구

        Recently, mobile-phone with camera module has an absolute majority in the released mobile-phones. For this trend, High precision of the plastic subminiature barrel which is the core part is needed significantly because the camera module of mobile-phone must have high performance. Therefore, Structural stability of the injection mold for plastic subminiature barrel has to be guaranteed. In this paper, structural analysis of injection mold for plastic subminiature barrel is performed. Finally, the deformation trend and stability of injection mold core are analyzed.

        GMP 공정용 3 cavity 유리 렌즈 금형의 열변형에 관한 연구

        Recently, the demands of digital camera and miniature camera module for mobile-phone is increased significantly. Lenses which is the core component of optical products are made by the injection molding(plastic lens) or GMP(glass lens). Plastic lens is not enough to improve the resolution and performance of optic parts. Therefore, the requirement of glass lens is increased because it is possible to ensure the high performance and resolution. In this paper, the thermal stress analysis of 3 cavity GMP mold for molding glass lens was performed for estimating the thermal stress and amount of deformation. Finally, the modification plan based on the analysis results was deducted.

        화력발전은 지구온난화의 주범으로 인식되고 있지만, 산업화와 지속적인 국가경제성장에 의한 전력소요 증가는 에너지사용을 증대시켜 에너지 차원의 부족을 초래하고 환경오염물질의 과다배출로 지구환경문제를 유발하고 있다. 에너지원의 확보를 위한 국가와 지역간 경쟁이 심화되어 새로운 갈등의 원인이 되고 있으며, 지구온난화와 에너지 문제를 해결하기 위해 교토의정서 등 기후변화 협약이 체결되고 화석에너지에 재생에너지로의 에너지원의 전환과 다양화가 추진되고 있지만, 각국의 이해관계와 기술부족으로 완벽한 해결책을 제시하지 못하는 상황이다. 에너지 부족을 해소하고 CO₂ 배출량을 저감할 수 있는 가장 효과적인 방안으로 기존 화력발전 효율을 향상시킨 고효율 발전과 Near Zero Emission수준의 저공해 기술이 결합된 고효율 석탄화력발전시스템을 개발현황을 논하고자 한다. For the environment and the limitation of the energy resource, the high efficiency power generation technology is necessary in the future. The Ultra Super Critical Power Generation technology is the key to manage the greenhouse gases and energy resource problems on Kyoto Protocol to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. Other countries and the manufacturer are trying to build the commercial power plant. In this paper, the efficient method of the Near Zero Emission is discussed the high efficient fossil power plant, Ultra Super Critical Power Generation. The ultra super critical power generation in Korea has been developed into two phases - Phase Ⅰ USC key technology development for 2002-08 and Phase Ⅱ USC development & optimizing technology in 2010-2017, that supported by the Korea Government.

For environmental reasons and because of our limited energy resources, high-efficiency power generation technology will be necessary in the future. Ultra-supercritical (USC) power generation technology is the key to managing the greenhouse gas problems and energy resource problems discussed in the Kyoto Protocol to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. Other countries and manufacturers are trying to build commercial power plants. In this paper, an efficient method of achieving near-zero emission operation of a high-efficiency fossil power plant using USC power generation is discussed. Development of USC power generation in Korea has been supported by the Korean government in two phases: Phase Ⅰ was USC key technology development from 2002 to 2008, and Phase Ⅱ is USC development and technology optimization from 2010 to 2017.

        A proposal of the Optimal Angle of Standing Assistant Chair for the Elderly by Comparing of Pressure Distribution on Hip

        One of the most performed action in daily life is standing up from sitting position. As the population of the world is aging at the high rates, people may face problems with reduced muscle strength as well as psychological changes. This can lead elderly people having difficulties with standing up from chair. Now, with the aging trend worldwide, products are being developed that can support the lives of the elderly. This study examines the distribution of hip pressure in relation to the seating positions of the standing assistance seats under development to prevent standing up accidents in older adults. The currently developing standing assistant chair designed to tilt to a maximum angle of 25 degrees. At over 25°, design considers that older people are at risk of thrown back out of that force and that the forces exerted on their arms and legs can be a significant burden to older people. By considering danger of higher than 25° for older people which is experimented in the basis of static capturing approach in previous papers, it is experimented people with age group of 20~60 on 0° to 25° tilting angle on the basis of dynamic capturing method in order to pick convenient angle of inclination. Moreover, tried to find the optimum angle by comparing the hip pressure distribution when seated at the edge of the seat and at the center of the seat with the pressure distribution sensor.

        정밀제조를 위한 기하공차에서의 윤곽공차 사용

        One of the challenges facing precision manufacturers is the increasing feature complexity of tight tolerance parts. All engineering drawings must account for the size, form, orientation, and location of all features to ensure manufacturability, measurability, and design intent. Geometric controls per ASME Y14.5 are typically applied to specify dimensional tolerances on engineering drawings and define size, form, orientation, and location of features. Many engineering drawings lack the necessary geometric dimensioning and tolerancing to allow for timely and accurate inspection and verification. Plus-minus tolerancing is typically ambiguous and requires extra time by engineering, programming, machining, and inspection functions to debate and agree on a single conclusion. Complex geometry can result in long inspection and verification times and put even the most sophisticated measurement equipment and processes to the test. In addition, design, manufacturing and quality engineers are often frustrated by communication errors over these features. However, an approach called profile tolerancing offers optimal definition of design intent by explicitly defining uniform boundaries around the physical geometry. It is an efficient and effective method for measurement and quality control. There are several advantages for product designers who use position and profile tolerancing instead of linear dimensioning. When design intent is conveyed unambiguously, manufacturers don’t have to field multiple question from suppliers as they design and build a process for manufacturing and inspection. Profile tolerancing, when it is applied correctly, provides manufacturing and inspection functions with unambiguously defined tolerancing. Those data are manufacturable and measurable. Customers can see cost and lead time reductions with parts that consistently meet the design intent. Components can function properly-eliminating costly rework, redesign, and missed market opportunities. However a supplier that is poised to embrace profile tolerancing will no doubt run into resistance from those who would prefer the way things have always been done. It is not just internal naysayers, but also suppliers that might fight the change. In addition, the investment for suppliers can be steep in terms of training, equipment, and software.

        축소형 틸트로터 무인기의 안전줄 호버 시험

        Tilt rotor aircraft can take off and land vertically and cruise faster than any other helicopter. A scaled flight demonstration model of a tilt rotor aircraft has been developed by KARI. Because the flight characteristics of tilt rotor are not well known, the developed scaled model would be helpful to evaluate flight control algorithm of a full scale aircraft. The tethered hover test has been performed in order to improve hover flight characteristics of tilt rotor aircraft prior to flight test of the small scaled model. During the tethered hover test, the performance of rotor speed governor, rate SAS (Stability Augmentation System) and control surface mixers have been evaluated. We expect that the results of real flight hover test would be quite same as tethered hover test. Therefore the tethered hover test results will reduce the risk of flight test properly by fixing some of hidden problems which might occur during the flight test. This paper presents the results of tethered hover test in detail and shows how it could be final ground test before flight test. The control mixer gain and rate SAS feedback gains were modified in order to get higher controllability and stability during the tethered hover flight. The rotor governor showed that it could keep rotor RPM constant with very small deviation even during severe pilot collective input change. The tethered hover test results gave pilot and engineers confirmation and experience about the scheduled flight test.
