        $Co_2$ Laser Annealed SOI-PIN Photodiode Fabrication and its Electrical Characteristics

        PIN-Photodiodes were fabricated with CO2 laser annealed SOI and their electric characteristics were measured. Dark current decreased and photocurrent-dark current ratio increased as the grain size of polycrystalline silicon in intrinsic region increased. In case of the largest grain, 10-20um, dark current was 30 n A (at - 4V) and photocurrent was proportional to light intensity.

        해도형 초극세사를 사용한 인조 스웨이드용 기포의 제조 특성에 관한 연구

        For the purpose of enhancing the quality of artificial suede, a fiber web was prepared using chopped seaisland type micro fibers dispersed in the water bath. An apparatus equipped with a laser beam was developed to evaluate state of the fiber dispersion in the water. A woven scrim fabric was sandwiched between these isotropic fiber webs produced through this method and then this was interlaced by water jet punching method. To dissolve the sea part of the micro fibers, alkaline finishing was applied on this composite and then the artificial suede primary fabric was prepared. For comparison, the other artificial suede primary fabrics were prepared such as applying carding method for the preparation of fiber web and needle punching method for the interlacing. After that, alkaline treatment was done for this fabric same as the above ones. The tensile properties, tear properties, surface and cross-sectional structures of these primary fabrics were studied. The hand values of these were also compared using KES-F system. The artificial suedes made of fiber webs by wet method interlaced through spunlacing showed superior isotropicity and hand values than the fiber webs made by carding method interlaced through needle punching.

        고층 사무소건축의 공사비계획을 위한 웹 기반 개산견적 프로그램

        The Purpose of cost Planning at the early Phase of construction Projects is to provide the clients with the appropriate cost information during the design decision-making process. Therefore, the cost planning process is expected not only to predict projects' cost accurately but also closely to coordinate with the design decision-making activities. This paper proposes a new cost planning method for the effective and efficient directions relating a design decision-making process. Strategies for this method are i ) to utilize elemental cost breakdown system, and ii ) to apply probabilistic distribution theories. Based on these strategic direction, this paper proposed a probabilistic cost planning model for high-rise office building projects. The suggested model provides appropriate cost information to meet clients limited budget and various project' requirements during the design decision-making process. This study is based on probabilistic distribution variables theories and the range estimating technique. This study also develops a web-based software program in order to apply the proposed cost planning model effectively in high-rise of office building construction practices.

        설계의사결정 과정에서의 확률적 공사비계획 모델-고층 오피스빌딩을 중심으로-

        The owner's budget as a major factor, has a great effect on the design decision-making process. Traditionally, the pyung method has been used in the building practice for the estimation of the project cost at the early stage of construction project. Although this method can be used easily, it has many problems such as considering the total floor area as the only parameter representing the total building cost and having little relation with the designer developing cost-effective alternatives. This situation is much critical on the high-rise building project that various owner's demands and design factors should be reflected in the early project planning stage.<br/> The purpose of this paper is to propose a new cost planning model which can be utilized for the decision making process of the high-rise building design. This model applies some probabilistic distribution variables and the range estimating technique for the correlation of cost planning and design decision-making process. In addition, a case study is performed for the verification and applicability of the model. The model would greatly assist the owner and designer decision-making process and could minimize the redesign work.

        Papillary adenocarcionma has been common malignant tumor of human thyroid gland, and metastasize to the lung and bone as well. But endotracheal meastasis of papillary adenocarcinoma is very unusual. A 75 years old woman was presented with a metastatic papillary thyroid adeno- carcinoma in the trachea, 10 years after total thyroidectomy. The tumor mass was located in the anterior wall of tracheal lumen. The mass was confirmed with pathologic finding. We describe a case of tracheal papillary adenocarinoma of thyroid gland origin and discuss the current recommendation for management.

      • 면역저하 환자에서의 Kluyvera 패혈증 1예

        Kluyvera is a new genus in the family Enterobacteriaceae and the clinical significance of Kluyvera remains to be established. Recently we encountered a woman who was managed under the diagnosis of lung cancer with cervix cancer of uterus and developed Kluyvera bacteremia. She was treated with antimicrobial agents and probably because of underlying diseases she did not recover. A review of the literature reveals limited information that Kluyvera are potentially dangerous pathogens. Further experience and epidemiologic studies are needed to determine their pathogenic role and the therapeutic effect of antibiotics.

      • TQM과 파트너링을 활용한 개념적 건설품질관리모델

        국내 건설업의 품질관리는 현장 중심의 관리와 전통적인 설계시공 분리계약으로 인해 적절히 수행되지 못해왔다. 효율적인 품질관리를 위해서는 프로젝트의 모든 단계에 걸쳐 발주자의 요구사항을 만족시키기 위한 새로운 개념의 품질관리 시스템이 적용되어야만 한다. 이를 위하여 첫째, 시공전 단계에서 적절한 조달유형의 선택과 품질관리위원회의 조직이 필요하고, 둘째, 시공 단계에서 TQM과 파트너링(partnering)에 근거한 품질관리가 이루어져야 하고, 마지막으로 시공후 단계에서는 품질관리위원회를 유지시키고 미래의 프로젝트를 위한 피드백 체계가 형성되어야 한다. 이와 함께 참여주체간의 커뮤니케이션의 확보, 지속적인 훈련과 교육, 강한 리더쉽 등이 요구된다. The quality management of the Korean construction industry has not been performed properly, since the industry has preferred the site driven quality management approach due to the traditional contracting system-design/bid/build. In order to enhance the industry's quality level, new concept of quality management should be applied to all project phases to meet the owners desire and requirements. The paper suggests the following: ⅰ) to choose right contract method and forming quality committee in the pre-construction stage; ⅱ) to utilize and relate the partnering and TQM concepts to site QA/QC system in the construction phase, ⅲ) to keep organizing the quality committee for future projects. More on that, this paper proposes the flexible communication relation within organization, continuous training and education, and strong leadership.

      • 발열성 호중구 감소증 환자에서 Aztreonam, Vancomycin의 병합 치료에 대한 고찰

        The need for. prompt antibiotic therapy in the management of febrile neurropenic patients with malignancy is well established. Aztreonam ia new monobactam antibiotic with potent and specific activity against aerobic, Gram-negative becteria. It is active against pseudomonas aeruginosa, as well as Enterobacteriaceae. Vancomcin has exellent spectrum of activity against gram-positive organsisms, and the lack of significant resistance, have made it the drug of choice for treatment of many serious gram-positive infections. We evaluated the efficacy of combined therapy with aztreonam plus vancomycin in febrile neutropenic patients. 20 episodes of pyrexia in I6 immunocompromised adult atients(8 male, 8 female) with leukemia(All4, AML12) were managed with aztreonam and vancomycin for treatment of infections. The overall response rate was 70%(14 episodes). There were several side effects including sin rashes(3), increased aspartate aminotransferase(AST), alanine aminotransferase(ALT) with/without jaundice(5). Further study of possible adverse effects from vancomycin with aztreonam and potential development of antimicrobial resistance will be desired.

        호중구 탐식작용 측정에 있어서 유체 세포측정법 (Flow Cytometry)이용에 대한 평가

        호중구 탐식 기능 측정에 있어 고식적인 면역형광 현미경 측정과 고속으로 각각의 세포에 대한 분석이 가능한 유체 세포측정법(flow cytometry)을 이용한 방법을 건강한 의과대학생 9명을 대상으로 측정하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 면역형광 현미경으로 측정한 탐식 호중구의 비율과 유체 세포측정법을 이용하여 측정된 비율간에는 γ=0.76으로 유의한 상관관계가 있었다(p<0.05). 따라서 유체 세포측정법(flow cytometry)에 의한 호중구 탐식기능 측정은 신속하고 정확하게 각각의 세포 특성에 대한 분석을 가능케하는 방법으로, 탐식작용은 물론 종양세포분석, 면역세포학등 다른 여러 부분에도 이용이 가능할 것으로 생각된다. Neutrophils are one of the essential components of the host defense system. The importance of adequate phagocyte function has been demonstrated by the association of specific celluar defects with increased susceptibility to infection. Phagocytic activity of neutrophils was evaluated using flow cytometry, which allowed measurements to be made on a single-cell basis at high speed. Neutrophils collected by a Ficoll-Hypaque density gradient centrifugation were incubated with fluorescent microspheres of uniform size in pooled human plasma and washed in buffer to remove the extracellular beads. Phagocytic activity was also evaluated by fluorescence microscopy and the results were compared to those of flow cytometry. High degree of correlation was observed between the two methods. Flow cytometry provided additional informations: percentage of phagocytic cells and the distribution of intracellular fluorescent microspheres per cell. Thus the advantages of speed, elimination of subjective interpretation and the ability to provide informations on the cell population indicate that flow cytometry has a unique role in the study of phagocytosis.
