The manuscript was prepared for some sugessions for the purpose of improving the method on ground anchor maintenance. We gathered some domastic and foreign cases of to compare the cases and to find the differences for the improvemnents on ground anchor maintenance. As a result of these effort, we suggest some suggstons on the ground anchor maintenance by inspection and mornitoring.

Debris flows are a natural hazard which looks like a combination of flood, land and rock slide. Large rainfall in July 2006 produced several large scale debris flows and many small debris flows that resulted in loss of life and considerable property and highway damage, as was widely reported in the national media. The hazard "debris flow" is still insufficiently researched Furthermore debris flows are very hard to predict. In this paper, a general over view of the debris flow problems along the highway, a generic way for the design and dimensioning of flexible barrier systems will be presented. A brief description of the various unique barrier types will be provided, too. The future for these barrier concepts looks promising because these barriers represent the state of art for such applications and are superior to many other available options.
p-y 특성곡선의 Coupling을 고려한 토류벽의 거동해석

본 연구에서는 탄소성 지반에서 지반스프링의 Coupling을 고려하여 토류벽의 거동을 해석하였다. 수치해석을 위해 벽체 양측의 지반을 탄소성 스프링으로 단순화하였고, 지반반력계수의 산정을 위해서 Terzaghi가 제안한 주동 및 수동상태에 필요한 수평변위를 p-y 특성곡선에 적용하였다. 본 연구에서 개발된 전산프로그램의 신뢰성은 기존 컴퓨터 프로그램 및 현장 실측치와의 비교를 통해 검증하였다. 검증결과 지반스프링의 Coupling을 고려한 경우가 현장 실측치의 변위 및 토압에 접근함을 알 수 있었고, 모래질 흙에서 주동상태에 필요한 수평변위의 변화가 벽체의 변위에 이주 작은 영향만을 준다는 것을 알 수 있었다. The behavior of earth retaining structure was investigated by considering coupling between soil springs in elasto-plastic soil. For the computation of soil reaction, soil on both sides of walls was simplified as e1asto-plastic springs, and the required horizontal displacement to mobilize Terzaghi's active and passive state was applied to construct the p-y curve. Reliability on computer program developed is verified through the comparison between prediction and in-situ measurements. Based on the results obtained, it is found that the prediction by using coupling between soil springs simulates well the general trend observed by the in-situ measurements. It is also found that the horizontal displacement required for the active state gives a very small effect to the displacement of walls in the sandy soil.
