본 연구는 점차 활동인구가 증가해 중요성이 높아지는 야간시간에 주목하여 서울의 대표경관을 대상으로 야간 이미지의 특성을 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 관련 전문가를 대상으로 서울의 대표경관에 대한 인지순위를 조사하고, 주ㆍ야간으로 떠오르는 이미지 비율과 그 요소를 조사하였다. 이 중 야간의 이미지를 중심으로 인지요소를 유형화하고 특성을 도출하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 인지순위 조사에서는 남산의 인지도가 가장 높게 분석되었고, 대표경관에 대한 인지순위가 상위권(1-3위)일수록 야간의 이미지로 인지되는 비율이 높은 특징을 보였다. 둘째, 야간의 이미지 요소는 경관, 시설물, 장소성, 환경지각, 기타로 구분되었으며 경관과 장소성에서 두드러진 특징을 보였다. 셋째, 구분된 요소들은 조망형, 랜드마크형, 활동형, 상징ㆍ인지형과 이 유형들이 서로 조합된 형태로 야간 이미지가 인지되는 특징을 보였다. 이러한 연구결과는 아직 기초적 연구결과이지만 보완을 통해 서울의 야간 대표경관이라 할 수 있는 남산, 한강, 청계천에 대해서 야간경관계획과 관리의 새로운 관점을 제시할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. The purpose of the study is to analyze the characteristics of the nightscape image with the focus on the representative urban landscape in Seoul in the light of the importance of night time activity. Main research method was a questionnaire survey to a focus group with specialized in related fields. The survey asked about the representative urban landscape of Seoul during day and night respectively, which ranked in order and divided the ratio and impact factors of image cognition. The result drew the types and characteristics of the cognitive factors focused on representative nightscape images of Seoul. Firstly, Namsan is ranked the most top representative image of Seoul from the survey, and the first top three among the representative images in the rank are related to the nightscape of each landscape. Secondly, the basic components of the nightscape images are divided into urban landscape, physical structure, and sense of place, environmental cognition, and so forth. In particular both ‘urban landscape’ and ‘sense of place’ are outstanding elements for identifying representative images. Thirdly, these classified components can be categorized into four types such as view, landmark, activity, and symbolic cognition. it finds that representative nightscape images are cognized by combining each type all together, and expects to be a guideline and provide a new perspective for an urban nightscape master plan for Namsan, the Han River, and the Cheong Gye Cheon.

Objectives: The purpose of the study was to examine the expected role and competency of future public health dental hygienist. Methods: This study was cross-sectional design. One dental hygienist per 16 cities and provinces was selected from the list of Korea Society of public dental hygienists. After signing in the informed consent, the interview was carried out. Transcripts were made after each interview. Six researchers recorded meaningful contents in the transcripts. They classified and integrated the information that they had recorded commonly or not. Their opinions were converged by conference. Two supervisors verified results whether they were derived from actual recordings for the reliability of the results. The records were confirmed once again and corrected into common message. Results: The main difficult subjects in public health official examination were public health, English, and medical legislation to pass the examine. The preliminary certificates included public health related certificate, computer certificate, and driver`s license. In the personality aspect, creativity, activeness, cooperation and good responsibility were very important trait to public health official. Among 16 interviews, 9 were positive and 5 were negative about the future prospects of a public dental hygienist. Conclusions: The future of public health dental hygienist will be positive. Throughout effort to prepare for the public health official, the public health dental hygienist will be expanded and in many ways the dental hygienists will take the charge of the important parts of the public health administration in the near future.
