The aim of this study is to find out the relationship between innovation inputs and the effect of innovation inputs on innovation outcomes, and furthermore empirically prove whether innovation outcomes lead to firm performance. To achieve this, we categorized innovation inputs working as success factors in corporate innovation practices into ‘top management leadership’, ‘innovative organizational culture’, ‘innovation operating system’, and defined innovation outcomes as ‘process innovation’ and ‘product innovation’. 182 innovation experts working for POSCO affiliates were surveyed for the data collection. The results of the study are as follows. First, top management leadership had a positive effect on the creation of innovative organizational culture and the establishment of innovation operating system. Second, innovative organizational culture did not affect innovation outcomes such as process innovation and product innovation. Third, innovation operating systems had a positive influence on innovation outcomes consisting of process innovation and product innovation. Finally, innovation outcomes had a positive impact on firm performance.

Consciousness is the center of henry James's literary world. The purpose of this study is to investigate the growth of Maggie Verver's consciousness in The Golden Bowl. Maggie's consciousness changes and grows, in Blakean terms, from Innocence through Experience to a higher and organized Innocence. In other words, Maggie moves from ineffectual innocence and a superficial sense of rightness to organized innocence and a profound moral sense, intermediately traversing the antithesis of her point of origin by her use of the strategems of malevolence. In James, the relationship between theme and technique is often compared to 'needle and thread' or 'body and soul'. The growth of maggie's consciousness is expressed not by a direct description but by imagery such as golden bowl image and pagoda image, for imagery in James's novels is an essential part in his expression of subtle consciousness. In The Golden Bowl which stands the summit of James's literary world, James attempted a synthesis of the major thematic oppositions of his earlier work through the growth of Maggie's consciousness.
